Few months later...

"You sure?" Connor asks as he stares at Crystal who nods her head once and Connor nods back as he takes a deep breath and kisses Crystal's forehead.

"Thank you" he whispers and Crystal smiles as she touches her womb slowly.

"So, uh...what now?" Connor clears his throat making Crystal frown.

"Now?" she asks.

"Yeah, I mean we should...no, I should go and get us some books on pregnancy, I mean, there are guides through these"

"Or I can talk with few of the women in Ad's pack" she points.

"Yeah, that...that would be good" he agrees.

"We will need those guide books to, you know just to be extra careful"

"Yeah, I will go and get them. Uh, you stay...sit down, don't move, wait here while I go and buy few things and..."

"Okay" Crystal agrees and Connor smiles as he turns to go out but stops as he turns back to where Crystal was, pulling her in his arms he kisses the top of her head.

"I love you" he whispers.

"I love you both" he corrects and she smiles holding him.

"Be back soon" she asks as they let go of each other.

"Pineapples are not good" Connor points as he pulls out the pineapple jam out of the fridge.

"Even when I crave?" Crystal asks as she watches her mate moving around the kitchen to clear it of everything, they read that is not healthy to have when pregnant.

"Let's not crave it" he asks turning to stare at her and she smiles.

"You will need to walk more, maybe we can do that in the morning and evenings, walking will help" he states and she agrees as she turns the pages of the book, he had got for them.

"Also, I heard there are yoga classes for couple when in pregnancy, do you want to join?" he asks making her frown.

"Is that wise?" she asks and he rubs the back of his neck.

"How many months does the pregnancy stays in this world? I mean humans carries for nine, so" he points making her think on it.

"Not that long, five to seven months but it depends" she points and he nods.

"We need to call Adrian" he finalizes and she nods in agreement before the couple stare at each other and then smile.

"We will be fine" Crystal assures him.

"We will" he agrees moving to where she was as he cups her face and kisses on her lips.

"We are going to be parents" she tells him.

"Parents, sounds nice" he whispers as they stare at each other's face as happiness radiates from their body.

Crystal hums to herself as she prepares the salad wanting to eat as much vegetables as she can endure for her child, with happy thoughts she continues to fix herself a plate turning around she stops as she feels dizzy.

Grabbing the top of the counter she tries to compose herself but the room starts to spin the bowl on her hands drops down crashing on the floor as she slowly loses her consciousness and starts to fall down on the floor.

Connor reaches to Crystal, catching her in time he sighs in relief but her unmoving body worries him. Pulling her in his arms Connor, moves towards the couch and lies her on it, calling her few times he waits when he finds no reaction, his worry increases.

He frowns when he feels something surrounding them, slowly turning his head he raises his hand to cover his eyes as a ray of light enters in his house, brightening before it dims and his eyes lands on the little fairies.

"Connor" they exclaim making him smile at the girls.

"Long time" they start to surround him fluttering their wings.

"What are you girls doing here?" he asks before they eye Crystal laying on the couch.

"Sleeping at this time of the day? You will spoil her" one of them tease as they flutter around Crystal.

"The fairy?" one of them asks as they flutter dust above Crystal.

"Safe, what's the visit about?" he asks them and the girls turns to face him.

"She feels different" the girls comment before one of them goes to touch Crystal but Connor stops them from doing so.

"She is pregnant" he informs and the girls gasps in surprise.

"No wonder, we felt like visiting you both"

"Why?" he asks.

"Oh well, we don't know all of us woke up with the thought of visiting you" they smile.

"She just fainted" he sighs as he stares at his mate.

"Don't worry" one of them smile and Connor watches Crystal shift a bit before she groans and opens her eyes.

"What?" Crystal blinks as she stares at the little fairies fluttering over her.

"Hello" they all greet her and Connor helps Crystal to sit up.

"What..."

"They are fairies, they..."

"I know who they are Connor, I saw them through you, but what's going on?" she worries so he sits beside her.

"They just came to see us, nothing else" he assures.

"Will you girls stay for a while?" Connor asks the girls.

"Can we?" they ask making him narrow his eyes at them.

"As far as I remember you girls always wanted to fly away" he points making them giggle.

"We just want to be around, we don't know why" they point and Connor glance at Crystal.

"This is nothing to do with our pregnancy?" he asks doubtful and the girls stares at each other.

"Maybe, we did not feel like visiting you before, but now...maybe" they nod.

"There is a possibility that people will visit the house so"

"Don't worry" the girls waves their hand before once again fluttering around Crystal.

"I feel like this one will be very special" one of them sigh.

"Don't" Connor warns the girls and they pout staring at him, before they start to flutter away around the house.

"Can we get something to eat?" one of them asks making Connor nod as he stands to get the girls something.

Putting the plate of the sandwich Connor watches the girls grab each as they sit on the table as the chair was too big before taking small bites.

"Do you girls want bedroom?" he asks and they nod their head.

"We will just le wherever, don't worry"

"Okay, anything I should be aware before I let you all in?" he asks and the girls stop eating to glance at each other before at him.

"Just food" they reply before Crystal laughs making Connor and the girls turn towards her.

"Don't mind me, it's just you look so cute with them" she laughs and he sighs as he grabs another plate towards her.

Something wakes Connor up, he does not know what but it does, getting up he finds Crystal curled up beside him, pulling the sheet over her he slowly gets out of the bed. Looking around the room he finds nothing amiss.

Turning back to the bed, he eyes Crystal before he walks out of the room, but the trail of fairy dust makes him frown his eyes as he follows it before it is all over his house. Without a word, he goes to look for the girls only to find them together spreading the dust all over his kitchen making him stand and stare.

The girls screams in shock to find Connor standing and watching them.

"Oh, hey, did we woke you up?" one of them asks so without a word he grabs a handful of fairy dust and shows them.

"Don't tell me, you all like to spread this all around before going to bed" he asks.

"Umm, we were..."

"I knew something was off when you all showed up at once even knowing Crystal would see you, you did not mind. Even asking to stay and now I get it why" he points making the girls slowly move towards him.

"We can explain"

"You have no other choices" he points.

"You child is very special, we did not want the child to get hurt so, we wanted to protect the child and Crystal" they start.

"Yeah, we were asked to look after Crystal while she carries the child, we had no other choice except doing what we know the best"

"Is my child next in line for the throne" he asks the girls who sighs.

"We don't know yet, but what we know is we need to shield him better. Our Fairy mother is worried with you two as parents the child may be very special"

"Well go tell your Fairy mother that I can look after my mate and child and no unannounced intervention" he asks as he turns to walk away but they hurry to stop him, blocking his way.

"We were asked to bring Crystal with us to fairy land, to keep her there until the child is born but we knew how you would react, Connor. So, this is the best we can do"

"Why?" he demands and the girls keep staring at each other.

"You girls need to explain to me about all of this is detail before I let you flood my house with fairy dust" he asks and one of the girl flies away before she starts to push the chair closer to him.

"Can you sit while we discuss this?" she asks.

"I don't like this" he sighs as he takes the seat.

"We too" they agree.

"You see, we were informed about Crystal's pregnancy, our fairy mother asked us to stay at stand by. Today, Crystal collapsed, we know women in her pregnancy does often faints but well you see, when she collapsed, her essence was lost for mere moment and we were asked to be transported in here immediately" they explain.

"Her essence?" he frowns.

"Crystal had the fairy inside of her all her life and in some way their soul is connected, each fairy born as special essence in them and all these essence glows in fairy world that is how we keep track of the fairies...

Losing essence is like losing life, you all may think of the fairy and Crystal two different being but to us they are same. The child growing inside Crystal is strong, for the child to stay strong Crystal needs to be strong...

Her powers are right now constrained"

"Constrained?" Connor frowns.

"Yes, she cannot go full lengths to use her powers, it will affect the child and Crystal"

"And?"

"Soon, Crystal's body will mold in a way that all of its energy and focus will be on the baby, this is where it gets tricky, she will be as human as any human, it will leave her to be an easy target, easier to get rid of" they point making Connor narrow his eyes.

"What is the fairy dust doing?" he asks them.

"We are just hiding traces of the baby" they point making Connor rub his chin.

"From?" he asks them.

"Bad energy. You two have enemies everywhere, if they knew about the child, they may attack"

"So you mean, we are not to tell anyone about our child?" he asks in disbelief.

"You can but we all know not every smile is of our friends" they point making Connor stay silent.

"You know if you two can come with us to the fairy land, we will not have to flood your house with fairy dust because it's safer there"

"And how can I trust there are not bad energy there, how can I be assured that it's safe there?" he asks.

"We fairies survive on good energy, good faith, there has never been one fairy in our realm to be known as bad one. We die if our fairy dust puts harm to anyone, as long as fairy dust are used with good intentions we survive the moment it is used in any bad way, we die...

As for safety, fairy realm cannot be opened without a fairy or permission of one, so no one has ever been able to open that part of the portal, you all will never find any place safer than that" the explains.

"I will need to discuss it with Crystal" he sighs rubbing his face and the girls nod their head.

"It's okay, we have enough dust for few days you take your time as we won't force you. But Connor, just know with what you two have been through, we just have nothing but good intentions regarding you two" they girls points making him nod his head as he ask they to just hurry and sleep before he makes his way towards his mate.

Walking back to his room, he finds Crystal laying on his side of the bed with her head under his pillow, with a smile be walks to her side. Taking the pillow off her head he slowly shifts her before lying next to her and she automatically wraps herself around him.

"How does it feels to be a father?" Jasper asks as he stretches his arms above his head.

"I don't know" Connor replies to his friend who grins.

"Well true, the kid needs to be out and for you to see to feel anything, of course. So, is Crystal okay?" he asks and Connor frowns before nodding.

"What is it?" Jasper asks as he stares at Connor.

"Nothing" he sighs.

"Not trying to be pushy but you do know you can tell me anything, yeah?" Jasper points and Connor nods his head.

"The fairies are with Crystal"

"They met her?" he asks surprised and Connor nods his head.

"Yeah, they asked to stay"

"Why?" Jasper frowns at that.

"For our unborn protection, they informed Crystal will feel weak and her powers may be gone, making her like a human until she births"

"Oh"

"They want us to go with them"

"Where?" Jasper asks fully turning to face Connor.

"To the fairy realm"

"And you are?"

"I don't know, I really don't"

"If Crystal is in danger we can help you know"

"I know, it's just that I don't want any more dramas or...just a normal, peaceful life" he confesses and Jasper pats on Connor's shoulder.

"Sorry man, no one gets what they wish for"

"You think I should go with the fairies?" Connor asks Jasper who rubs his hand through the back of his head.

"Don't you think you should talk with Crystal about it?" he suggests.

"I will, I just don't know if not taking their offer will make me regret it later" Connor glances at Jasper who nods as they both stand in silence thinking about it.

"I say do it" Jasper finally answers and Connor raises a brow at him.

"I mean come on man, how many people gets a free pass to fairy world? And, I am sure if it was not a big deal they would have never offered, worth the risk. They have been such a help when we needed them, I am sure if the risk was not high the girls would never risk being seen around Crystal" Jasper points and Connor nods his head.

"You are right, but I will have to go through about it with Crystal. We also need to explain the situation to everyone"

"Yeah, well good luck with that. Now, if we have nothing else I am going to head back home" Jasper grins and Connor nods as he glances at Jasper.

"I don't even know why do you want to hang out every day when you cannot wait to go back home" Connor asks as he stands up.

"So, I can be a good friend, you do not even have one, Connor and there is just so much your mate can take from you. So, lean on me, brother" he winks making Connor scoff before a smile forms in his face.

"Later" Jasper waves and Connor waves as he watches his friend walk away.

Connor enters the house and a smile forms in his face as he finds his mate fussing around the kitchen, making his way towards her, he stays back and watches her for a while.

"You are back!" Crystal exclaims rushing to kiss on his cheek as she returns back to her work.

"Today for dinner I am making this delicious looking recipe I watched from a show, it looked delicious in the TV so I am excited" she smiles as he keeps staring at his mate.

Slowly moving towards her he wraps his arms around her waist pushing her back towards him, hugging her he stares at the pot she was cooking in.

"You mean you are too hungry" he teases and she giggles nodding her head.

"Sorry for being late" he apologizes as he kisses on her cheek and she turns in his arms.

"It's okay, you did went out after making me tons of food, but I ate it all" she informs.

"How can I help?" he asks as he moves away but she grabs his hand pulling him back behind her.

"Just stay with your arms wrapped around me" she states and he does that.

"You may not able to wrap your arms around me when my belly grows you know, so enjoy while it lasts" Crystal teases making him smile as he stays silent with her in his arms.

"I can stay like this forever with you, you know, just like this" he replies after a moment and she smiles brightly.

"Not good, Connie, what if this little one hears and gets upset, now we are three, we cannot just stay like this. This little one will want to be part of the hug too" she teases him making him rub his palm on her belly.

"You know ever since Des, I have been scared, I am just scared, what if I failed, what if I failed to protect another child. There was a time I thought I would never have a child maybe that was one of the reason I stayed away from you...

I was scared, seeing you, being close to you will bring desires I did not want, make me crave something I should not. And knowing you, I also know if I said I did not want a child you would happily agree with me, because you love me that much...

But ever since you told me the news that you were, that we were having this little one, it seems surreal, it seems like the best words I heard after Des said I was her best brother, after you said that you love me. I don't know if I can be a good father, I fear that what if I fail him too" he stops as she puts a finger on his lip stopping him as emotions runs through both of them.

"Even if we failed to be good parents, we will learn to do it correctly, we will keep trying until we are good parents, we will be together in this. We will make mistakes regarding our child, maybe take bad decisions but we will do it with good intentions towards our child" she assures and he nods his head as he takes a deep calming breath.

"So, if you are with me in this, there is a decision we need to take regarding our child" he informs and she frowns in confusion.

"Fairy land?" Crystal frowns making him nod.

"But...this is all of a sudden, I mean....is it safe? But the fairy is not even inside of me, what if we get trapped and..." she stops as the fairies appears fluttering their wings flying around her.

"It is the safest place in the whole dimension, Crystal also, you will love it there. It's like music flowing through the air, fresh air floating around you, the birds talking, the butterflies dancing...it's amazing" they sigh.

"I am not so sure" Crystal frowns as she stares at Connor.

"I know you are doubtful, so am I"

"Can we wait for few days? I mean I want to be sure" Crystal asks and Connor nods.

"Of course, just because I said that does not mean we have to go" he points making her sigh in relief as they all get to have their dinner.

"What have he done to you?" Dante's cry of horror makes Crystal laugh as he kneels in front of her and puts his hand on her belly.

"Stop being so dramatic, Dante" she laughs as he glares at Connor.

"My little Red Queen, first he took the red hair, then your v-card and now he left a bread in your oven?" he gasps for air making Crystal groan.

"Dante, shut up, don't call my child, bread" she scolds.

"I will never recover from this" he shakes his head as he sniffs and hugs Crystal.

"You should be happy, Uncle Dante" she giggles and he pulls away.

"No! Do not ever call me that! Disgusting! I am not even mated, I am not even a father, how can you make me an Uncle, oh my youthfulness" he puts his hand dramatically on his forehead.

"You are old, Dante, even older for your own mate, now move" Adrian pushes the man as he hugs Crystal congratulating her.

"This is all your fault, if you did not get distracted from your duties she would not have been in such horrifying condition" Dante points.

"Dante, if you do not shut up I will never let you see my child" Crystal warns him.

"Why is everyone getting mated and having children before me?" he pouts before he eyes Adrian.

"Get the fuck away from me" Adrian glares at him.

"Do not make Scar Prego, let's have kids together"

"No"

"Oh come on, my kids will need playmates" he grumbles.

"Never"

"Please, please, we all can be in-laws, just imagine all in the family"

"No" both Adrian and Connor shouts at once.

"You all broke my heart. Jean and I would make beautiful children, you will regret it" he grumbles.

"Jean will have lovely kids but you will not let them be beautiful with your foul mouth" Crystal points and he grins.

"Someone has to be fun in the family"

"I reject any of his children as any of my kids mate" Adrian announces.

"I do too" Connor agrees.

"Oh come on" he whines stomping his foot.

"You need to first win your mate's heart first, son" Aura's voice makes all of them turn as the woman walks in along with her mate.

"You are here" Crystal smiles as she hugs the woman before hugging Diego.

"Of course, how can we miss such happy occasion, it was such a great news we heard in decades. Congratulations to both of you" Aura smiles and Crystal runs to hug the woman who was like a mother to Crystal.

"Thank you, it's so great to have you all here" she gushes with a bright smile.

"Hmm, I did not knew you had more guests" Aura points as she looks around the room and Crystal pulls away.

"Guests?" both Adrian and Dante frowns looking around.

"Umm, they..." Crystal hesitates.

"No worries" Diego assures as he pulls his mate close to his side.

"Who are these they?" Dante asks curiously and Connor moves to stand beside Crystal.

"We need to talk" he announces to the group who frowns before they all sit down.

Explaining the situation Connor waits for everyone's view, he holds Crystal's hand and squeezes it waiting for someone to speak first.

"I think it's a good plan" Aura speaks first surprising all of them.

"You sure mom?" Dante asks with a frown.

"Yes, even if now Crystal has all of us, to look after her, we all won't be here with her all the time. The danger is still around in some way....

Adrian is right now occupied with his own pack, with new members joining the pack, I know he has his hands full, the same goes with you too Dante, as the leader of the council and special kids gathering up, their housing, care and trainings all falls in your arms...

Today, I visited so I could offer Crystal my help regarding the new change in her life but now that I heard about the Fairies I am glad to hear it"

"But we, mom, none of us ever encounter a fairy what if they are not trustworthy?" Dante asks his mother who smiles in assurance.

"Angles and fairies in lot of ways are same, we have one rule our powers should never harm an innocent. In all these centuries I have met just one fairy and it was only because she came out to warn us to never seek them and all I could vibe from her was kindness and warmth...

I felt same when Diego bought Crystal to our home and I felt same as I walked in this house. No one has ever been able to walk in a fairy realm, that dimension's portal has never been opened by anyone, Crystal will be safe there" Aura smiles and that makes both Connor and Crystal to sigh in relief.

"Thank you" Connor nods at the woman who smiles as she stares at him.

"You two had a very tiring journey, I hope this new member will bring peacefulness in your life, give you hopes of new light, take you to your destiny" Aura wishes as she smiles at the couple.
