Jade folds her arms as she stares from Connor to Crystal before eyeing her mate.

"Though the idea of pulling the soul out of someone's body sounds extremely idiotic for some reason somewhere inside me it feels kind of okay but what are the chances that Crystal will be alive and sane once the soul is out?" Jade asks and Jasper slowly turns his head towards Connor for answer.

"She will survive just like she did when you helped me pull the wolf's soul" Connor points.

"My wolf's?" Crystal asks him squeezing his hand tightly.

"Yes, the only con of it, was your hair turned from red to black" Connor points so Crystal touches her hair with a frown.

"My hair" she whispers.

"Yes"

"So, what? What will she lose this time?" Jade asks Connor who shakes his head.

"I don't know, but what I know is her life will not be in danger if that soul is out. They did not belong to her" Connor points making Jade sigh.

"I will need some ingredients that..." Jade stops as Jasper rushes out before walking in with a bag.

"I already got everything you need" he points and Jade narrows her eyes at her mate.

"I see, you knew I would say yes to this, or perhaps this was all a plan beforehand to let me see all those memories and letting me barge into this place?" Jade asks not liking the thought of someone fooling her.

"Actually..." Jasper starts but stops when Jade raises her hand in a stop sign.

"I think I have been deceived by my own mate for one too many times to hear about it again" she points and Jasper drops the bag down as he walks towards his mate while both Connor and Crystal gives the mate some privacy.

"So, my hair?" Crystal asks as she stares at Connor.

"It's because you do not have the wolf's soul"

"So, what happened...I mean how did you do it?" she questions him.

"That's not important" Connor sighs as he walks to where she was sitting and kneels down holding her hand.

"I want you to relax, we will have to summon the fairy" Connor points making her frown.

"But..."

"You both are hurting Crystal; you are fearing her and she is fearing you"

"If the soul does not belong to me then how did it end up with me?" she questions him instead and Connor takes a deep breath as he cups her face.

Rubbing her cheek slowly he stares in her eyes and smiles before Crystal focuses on the glimmer of his eyes and she gasps as visions passes through her head.

"No" she whispers pushing his hand away from her cheek and Connor holds both her hands to stop her from moving.

"Calm down, this is something I know it will take some time to digest but we do not have much time. Can you relax and help me to call your fairy out?" he asks and Crystal bites her lower lips in confusion.

"This is too much" she whispers making him take a deep breath as he cups her face once again.

"It is and things will turn even more worse in future but we will have to take few steps now to avoid chaos in the future" he asks and she shakes her head no.

"I don't understand, I am scared to even understand" she confesses to him.

"Someone is after the fairy inside of you, Crystal. I have tried to prevent anything from happening for the past few years but I have not been able to stop them...

These attacks happening around you is no co-incident and it will keep happening until they get hand on what they want from you. They feel this power inside of you, they greed the power you have, just because you are not using it does not mean you don't have them"

"So, taking it out is the answer?" she asks but he shakes his head no.

"Moving it out of reach is the only solution I can see"

"But why do we need to take it out, won't it be more protected if it's inside of me?" Crystal asks him.

"No, it was more dangerous inside of you. The soul has a body to act on, your blood has been boon to many but it has also been a curse. Those kids live have been in danger the moment your blood entered their bodies...

We do not know if the blood inside of you still has the same effect" he points and Crystal nods her head as she thinks on it.

"What will you do with the soul? What did you do with the wolf's soul?" she asks him.

"You don't have to worry about it, the wolf's soul has been taken care of and the fairy's will also be taken care of" he promises and Crystal agrees before they make their way out of the room.

"If we lose our consciousness like last time can you make sure we have a soft bed to lie on, also do not erase any memories, I am just done hurting my mate" Jasper asks Connor who busies himself with tying the rope on the stand.

"I would like to start a family with my mate, you know" Jasper points and Connor raises a brow at the man.

"Have you ever experienced the giggle and laughter of a child? The most refreshing ones" Jasper grins and Connor sighs as he turns to face Jasper.

"Get back to your position" he asks and Jasper groans as he walks away from Connor in irritation.

"Ready when she is" Jade informs as she finishes putting the marks to stop the soul from walking out of the house.

Connor turns to stare at his mate standing on one of the marks, so making his way towards her he gives her an assuring smile.

"Nervous?" he asks and she nods her head.

"Just focus on my voice and me" he asks and she nods her head before she takes a deep breath and closes her eyes.

Connor holds an unconscious Crystal in his arms as his eyes snaps at Jade who keeps on chanting as Jasper grabs the soul of the fairy with the rope.

"Why is it not getting inside of the bottle?" Jasper groans as he strains to keep the fairy in place.

"Jade?" Connor shouts as he picks Crystal up and puts her away from the fairy's body.

"She does not want to"

"The wolf did not as well but we did" Jasper groans.

"I cannot hold her for much" Jade replies.

"Me too" Jasper points just as the rope slips from his hands and the soul moves away.

Jade falls down on the ground as she could not hold the soul back before she faints.

"Jade" Jasper shouts rushing to his mate's side in worry while the soul of the fairy keeps flying around the room.

Finally, her eyes lands on Connor and with full speed she makes her way towards the man only to stop inches away from him as Connor throws a handful of fairy dust on the soul.

"Con?" Jasper asks in confusion as the soul of the fairy freezes and then slowly it starts to fade away in front of their eyes.

"I thought the fairy dust did not work" Jasper asks as he stares at the empty space where the fairy's soul was few moments ago.

"It did not, but before the fairies left, I had asked them to prepare a special dust"

"Did you just kill her?" Jasper asks as he puts his mate safely on the couch.

"No, I just trapped her inside something else" Connor states as he bends a bit before picking up a piece of Crystal.

"Is that...a real crystal?" Jasper asks.

"Yes, I did not know she would choose this form when I threw the dust. All her life she has been part of Crystal and even at the end she chose to be one" Connor sighs as he stares at the crystal in his hand.

"What now?" Jasper asks Connor who turns to face his friend.

"Now we wait" Connor sighs.

"So, this goes beside the wolf's soul?" Jasper asks Connor who walks to check on his mate.

Pushing the hair away from Crystal's head Connor stares at his mate's face, he touches her dark hair that was once as bright as the brightness of sun. She moves in her sleep so he rubs her brow lightly to calm her down.

Sitting next to her, he pulls out the crystal and stares at him for a while before putting it away.

Connor hisses when at once the crystal burns his skin before he drops it from his hand, suddenly the crystal breaks into four pieces and to their shock it moves to land on each of their sides.

"Uh, what? Did it just broke and then..." Jasper asks as he stares from the crystal then to Connor.

"Chose each of us" Connor nods as he picks up the one on his side and then the one on Crystal's side.

"Cool, in that case see you later" Jasper sighs as he walks to where his mate was sleeping.

"Stay the night" Connor asks and Jasper shakes his head no.

"It's okay, we will go back to our pack. You take care of your mate. And about these, we will keep it safe" Jasper smiles as he makes his way out of the house and Connor turns to stare at his mate as he picks her up and walks towards his room.

"Everything went okay?" Crystal asks as she turns around in the bed to find Connor sitting beside her.

"You okay?" he asks as he checks on her.

"Yeah" she yawns nodding her head before she moves to sit up and Connor stands to help her.

"Dizziness, weakness anything?" he asks and she smiles before shaking her head no.

"I feel..."

"You feel?" he worries as he touches her forehead.

"Light" she sighs with a smile and he takes a breath of relief.

"Are you sure?" he asks and she nods so he turns to go grab something to eat for her only to turn around at once when she falls down face first on the bed.

"Crystal" he shouts in panic only to stop when she groans and stretches her body.

"What?" she asks with a yawn turning her face to the side facing him.

"I...nothing. Do you want to eat something?" he asks and she shakes her head no.

"I just want to sleep" she asks and he nods his head helping her to get inside the covers.

"Rest, you may feel light now, but we don't know what will happen next" he states and she shakes her head no.

"I am sure I will be fine; I was fine when the wolf's soul was gone, remember" she points and he nods his head as he sits down on the bed once again.

"Still, we can be a bit careful" he points as he once again moves the hair away from her face.

"About the soul, are we going to tell Adrian and others?" she asks him and Connor frowns.

"I...I don't know" he replies.

"It's better if we don't" Crystal suggests and he frowns.

"I don't want to burden anyone anymore" she confesses and he nods in understanding as he cups her face.

"You are not burdening anyone but even I feel it's better this way" Connor agrees and she smiles before she hugs him.

"I am just so glad you are back" she sighs burying her face on his chest and he kisses the back of her head.

"Sleep for now" he sighs before letting her go as she gets back to catch her sleep.

Crystal finds herself sitting on the chair watching her mate preparing breakfast for them, it reminds her of the times she had with him when they first met. She smiles reminiscing the times she had sat and watched him and his sister quarrel and laugh as they made something to eat.

"What's funny?" Connor asks as he turns to glance at her and she shakes her head no.

"You have been smiling for a while" he points and she sighs sitting straight as he puts the plate in front of her.

"I was thinking about good times" she points and he nods before sipping his coffee as he stares at her.

"Are you sure you do not feel anything?" he asks as she finishes half of her food.

"Do I have to feel anything?" she asks.

"It's better if you felt something now rather than waiting for..." Connor stops and puts his cup down while Crystal turns her head as Adrian walks in the house.

"We need to talk" Adrian points to Crystal as he completely ignores the presence of Connor.

Crystal does not say anything as she gets down of the chair but Connor stops her.

"Finish your breakfast, first. I will leave you two alone" he offers and Adrian makes his way to pull a chair beside Crystal who frowns at Adrian's behavior while Connor walks to his room with the coffee.

"As if that would give us privacy" Adrian grumbles as he sits with his arms folded.

"Don't be mean" Crystal points as she turns to face him.

"What happened?" she asks him watching his expression carefully and for a moment he stays quiet staring off before his eyes meets her.

"I am married" he announces and Crystal blinks for a long time, staring at his face.

"You mean your mate is back?" she asks carefully and he shakes his head no.

"No, I am married as in married a woman"

"Well, a man does marry a woman, I don't understand why you are so..."

"She is a human" he whispers and Crystal shifts to move close to him.

"Excuse me?" she asks not hearing clearly.

Adrian stands and starts to pace back and forth taking deep breathes.

"She is a daughter of a friend, business partner. Her life has been in danger and he asked me to help protect her. I of course said yes and...and well this was the only way she could have my protection and I have already sent the marriage papers for her to sign with Enzo with the wedding bands" he explains and once and Crystal stares at him in shock, speechless.

"Just shout at me and say I am stupid" he sighs as he turns to face her stopping his pacing.

"You are stupid"

"I knew I should not have..." he stops when she continues to talk.

"You are stupid for sending Enzo with the wedding bands" Crystal points and Adrian sits back on the chair.

"I would have backed out if I went"

"Then you should have backed down if you were unsure, Ad. You do not marry someone for any other reason than the fact that you want to cherish her, love her for rest of your life" Crystal points.

"I will ask Enzo to come back then" he nods as he goes to pull his phone out.

"And make her feel rejected?" she asks stopping him.

"But..."

"Have you met the woman?" she asks him and Adrian clears his throat.

"Adrian Martin! How can you be so heartless to not even meet the girl personally!" she then shouts at him.

"I do not plan on spending the rest of my life with her, just until we find the culprit and then she can go..." he stops as Crystal sits still as her eyes widens.

"Crystal" Adrian frowns standing at once but before he could touch her Connor already has her in his arms.

"Crystal" he breathes as the woman in his arms stares off blankly and blinks after a while getting her senses back.

"She has red hair" Crystal breathes as she holds onto Connor's arm while staring at Adrian.

"What?" Adrian asks dumbfounded.

"Congratulations" Crystal smiles before she loses her consciousness.

"Call me once she is awake" Adrian asks Connor who nods his head as he stands at the door.

"Sure" Connor replies when Adrian does not make a move to walk out.

"Are you going to stay around for a while?" Adrian asks Connor who glances at the room where Crystal was resting.

"I won't be a problem" Connor points and Adrian shakes his head.

"We have been thinking"

"We?" Connor raises a brow.

"Council members, we were wondering if you were interested to join..."

"No" Connor refuses the offer and Adrian nods.

"Well, the offer is open just think about it" Adrian asks the man and when Connor stands quiet Adrian nods before taking his leave.

Walking back to the room, he checks on Crystal before me makes his way towards the kitchen to clean up. Finishing his task Connor walks back to where Crystal was to find her awake and sitting up silently.

"What happened?" he asks as he stands at the bedside.

"I don't know, one second I was talking with him and the next I saw him with a woman. He looked happy"

"His wife?" Connor asks and Crystal smiles happily.

"He looked so happy, Connor, so much" she states before tear starts to fall down her eyes and he sighs sitting next to her, holding her.

"He looked so, so happy" she cries and he just sits quietly holding her.
