This chapter mostly has Enzo's part, I have tried as much as I could to bring this story in track. For now, I am all done with the past writing, next chapter you will finally get to see Connor and Crystal's reunion after all this time.

Enzo grips his mother's hand tightly as he stands when the men all dressed in black walks in before they all glance around the room and their eyes lands on him. After a moment, they all sit down and he fills himself being picked up by his father who puts him between them on the bench.

Tilting his head, he watches a woman walk inside with two men, he glances at his father who stands up before bowing towards the woman.

"I see you still are in favor of the Queen" one of the men in black points watching Enzo's father who growls.

"Queen or not, she will always get my greetings in same way she has always been getting. If not because of the respect I have for her but for the only fact that she gave a life to my son" Antonio states and Enzo glances back at the woman who was staring back at him, so he turns his head hide it in his mother's arms.

"It's okay" Marissa whispers as she rubs his back in assurance so he turns stare at the woman again.

"That's Crystal, she is a friend" Marissa points and Enzo nods before the council asks for the woman to stand in front of them.

"Crystal you must have been filled in on the fact that we have ban the Royals now, there will no king or Queen that will rule us" one of the men states and Crystal takes a deep breath as she nods her head.

"I will not be a problem to any of you if that is what you are worried about"

"Oh, trust us, we are definitely not worried about it" the man grins.

"Then stop hurting others because of me" she asks.

"You are in no position to give any command, Crystal. Your days of ruling has long been gone; we did not ask for your presence because we wanted to negotiate but to show everyone what will happen if they crossed us"

"What do you want from me?" she asks staring at the group.

"Your death will do but..." the man states as he stares at her before his eyes goes towards Enzo and so does Crystal's.

"You shared your blood with him bringing him back from death, until we find every child you did the same with, until we figure out what purpose they will have you are to stay alive...

Counting the days, holding your breath and hoping they do not turn into your biggest mistake"

"The kids..."

"Are dangerous, killing you will hold no purpose if we don't know what the children you created are capable of doing. We will hunt each of them out, we will keep our eyes on them, they get to live until the moment they start to be a problem to our kind" the man explains.

"They are not your pets that you can bring in play around before throwing them because one of them bite you" Crystal glares at the group.

"You hold no powers Crystal, the only reason you are even getting to stand and talk back is because Diego Carlos has given his words that he will take full responsibilities of you while his son will serve under us" the man points and Crystal grips her dress in her fist, knowing all about it.

"You will stay under watch of the Carlos family. In exchange of your life, Dante Carlos will be the one working for the council. Feel lucky that you have families that care for you but know this, if ever we have any problems through you the same families will pay the price" he warns and Crystal stares at her feet stopping the urge to kill all of them with her glare.

"While you may not be a problem for us, we cannot say same about your mate" her head snaps up to stare at them with wide eyes.

"No" she whispers.

"Thought so, so the rumors are true that you have found your mate" the man grins when she says nothing he stands up.

"Where is he? No one has seen him after that night at the palace, where are you hiding him?" the asks and Crystal shakes her head.

"I don't know where he is"

"Are you sure you do not know?"

"You think I would be standing here alone if I knew?" she questions and the man stares at her for a while before the doors to the room opens and Jade walks in along with Adrian and Romano.

"What's this about?" the man asks in dislike being interrupted.

"This is me being pissed about the fact that you put an order to attack me and my pack" Jade snarls.

"My apologies, dear Jade but you seem to be in the exact place where Crystal had been hiding for, I wonder how long" the man points and Jade take a step towards him.

"That will be Alpha Summers for you!"

"We also heard you found your mate, a mate who was the one that was helping Crystal when the council clearly put an order that anyone that found Crystal will report directly to us, any pack that would help Crystal hide will pay for their disobedience" the man snarls.

"And she is standing in front of you because my mate informed about her whereabouts" she grits back.

"His act of disobey will affect the whole wolf world, so check where you all are heading towards" the man warns her and she narrows her eyes at the man.

"I smell even one blood sucker around him, I will burn each of you with my own hands" she growls.

"Threatening us will not be in your favor"

"Dragging my mate will definitely be in favor of your death"

"And where is this mate of yours that you so fondly talk about?" the man asks and Jade shuts her mouth.

"Wait a second. Is he even in your pack?" the man asks and Jade takes a deep breath before the man chuckles.

"Interesting, very interesting" the man nods before he glances around the other council members.

"Hmm, a man definitely does not like when the women start to not just wear pants in the relation but also act as they are superior than their mates. Maybe you both should learn to know your place, the mates you both hold dear and are defending, they do not even want to be with two" he grins and Jade closes her eyes so she does not shift and tear the whole place down.

"Maybe instead of fighting with us, you should go in search of your mates who ran away. If you want, I can ask few of my men help you in the search" the men joke.

"The council has more important things to do than search for mates who ran away" another man states before they all start to laugh again.

"They are miserable enough I think are done for the day" the man points before he nods at the group and all of them stand to walk away.

"Romano, the report of the kids" the man orders as he walks out and Romano nods before he follows the council.

Adrian grabs Jade holding her back as she goes to grab the table and throw it away in anger.

"There is a kid in the room" Adrian informs and her eyes lands on a scared Enzo.

"You, take it from me, don't ever, ever mate. Not the one who walks in with sweet smile, makes you fall and then disappear. You will be nothing but a laughing stock...

Learn from all of our mistakes" she states to Enzo who hides behind his mother.

"See that big guy Diego Carlos, known to be the most powerful vampire at a time, he mated an angel, they stripped him of his position, he can never sire anyone, never get in between any sort of fight or even be seen when shit goes down...

This man holding me, Adrian Martin, a man so powerful he can be an Alpha of all the Alphas, his mate betrayed him in the worst way possible and now he is nothing but a guard dog, see this woman...

Crystal, Queen of our world, her mate did not even have the guts to check on her when she needed him the most and now, she is nothing but a laughing stock. I am Jade Summers, my mate he is a rogue, runs every damn time without even letting me know and the embarrassment of not knowing where your mate is a different level of humiliation...

And look at your parents..."

"I think that's enough" Crystal asks as she stands in front of Jade.

"I too think that this is enough" Jade glares at Crystal before she storms out of the room.

"I will go check on her" Adrian sighs before leaving the room.

"Hi" Crystal smiles as she turns to stare at Enzo.

"She said Hi, honey" Marissa smiles as she pulls her son from behind her.

"Hello" Enzo murmurs and Crystal smiles as she kneels in front of the boy.

"Ignore her, she is just upset" Crystal states as she cups his cheek.

"Okay" he nods and she sighs.

"You okay?" Crystal asks Antonio who nods once.

"We will all be" he smiles and she nods back before she stands up.

"I will be going then" she whispers as she glances at Marissa.

"Take care of yourself" Marissa asks and Crystal smiles as she turns to walk where Diego was standing.

"The traces of the special kids are gone" Romano states to the men.

"Are they really gone or are you trying to protect them?" the council asks.

"I want those kids just as much as you all do; we do not know what powers they hold. I would rather they stay within these walls instead of getting in hand of people who will use to hurt not just them but our kind as well" he points and the men nod.

"The witches must have hand on hiding their traces"

"And because of your attacks on the witch clans they all have disappeared, gone in to hiding" Romano points making the men nod.

"Sometimes the fear works in our favor and we have to use fear to control everyone, that is the only way we can have an upper hand. You keep searching for the kids, for now gather those who we have found...

We will start their training, now that Crystal is where we can see her it won't be a problem to catch the others" they decide and Romano nods before he leaves them alone.

"What if they all are just pretending to be on our side?" the other questions.

"Let them keep pretending, we will need to start the tests on the kids as soon as we can, we have to check the powers they hold before they throw us out...

You may never know the blood she shared may give us more power, a Royal's blood" the man whispers.

"Rest as much as you can" Diego smiles as he opens the door of Crystal's room.

"Rest is all I have left to do now" she points and he nods.

"Sometimes having no power is the most powerful thing you know" he starts and she turns to face him in confusion.

"I have a mate I can love every day, a son who does whatever he desires because I stay unpowerful. Your sacrifice may not seem so big, but know, it is helping someone else to stay alive and breathing. You may not understand it now, but one day you will know, what you did today will forever be that one push no one think they needed for a greater future...

Patience is something not everyone is blessed with. Rest, gather yourself and prepare for the future" he states before he walks out and close the door behind him.

Fourteen years later....

Enzo drops his head down and steps back hiding behind the door as few of the men starts to make their way towards his father's office. Slowly making his way out, he hurries to go hide and listen.

"Our offer is still up, you know" the men states as they take a seat and Antonio frowns.

"I am not interested"

"Ask your son then, who knows maybe he is interested"

"How many times do I have to say no before it gets into your head that my family, especially my son will never be part of the group of murders you are creating"

"We have been nice Antonio; you refused our offer to train your son and now you are refusing our offer to hire him"

"I will not let you all make my son a killer" Antonio argues.

"He has a blood running inside of him that is dangerous"

"He has not been a danger to anyone for the last sixteen years"

"You do know refusing us always will have consequences"

"You think all of us are just sitting quietly doing what the council says because we are scared? You get our silence for the crimes you did and in return you do not both the way we live"

"He is the first white wolf we have got"

"And he will not be reporting to the council. He is the future Alpha of our pack and that is where he belongs"

"And you think your pack will accept someone as weak as him? We do know that even if he has one of the most bloodline running through his vein, he is not strong, physically or mentally!

Your son gets bullied in his school, comes back home beaten, even a five-year-old is stronger than him"

"Get the hell out of my land! My son is my responsibility, he does not have to be one of the strongest to make a point, I have my faith in him to lead our pack the best way he can" Antonio growls.

"He has lost his eye sight once, Antonio, just make sure he does not lose his life next" the men threaten.

"Are you threatening me standing right on my land?" Antonio asks as he stands up from his chair.

"We have been trying to push him to his limits from time and again in our own way, but it seems he is not reaching that said limit to unleash his true potential...

His late shift is something that should worry you, our offer is still on, send him to train with the warriors Antonio" the man commands before they all stand to walk out and Antonio sighs as he slumps down on the chair rubbing his face.

Marissa finds her mate in a tensed state, so making her way she runs her hand through his hair. Antonio sighs as he wraps his arms around his mate.

"They do not know when to stop" he growls in anger and she smiles.

"They don't know when to give up" she whispers.

"How dare they call our son is weak?" he snarls as he stands and Marissa touches his shoulder as she pushes him back on the chair.

"What difference did we make being strong? Weak or strong these terms do not matter as long as Enzo is alive. I would rather have weak son rather than a dead one"

"They want him to join the trainings"

"And we had given them our answer the first time they asked"

"What if..."

"I am not sending my son to be part of something that brought the chaos in many lives" Marissa clarifies and Antonio nods.

"What are the boys up to?" he asks changing the topic and she smiles.

"Let's go check it for ourself" she states.

Enzo lands on the ground in his wolf form, before he starts to run around the trees, dodging the branches and trees.

"I would have a son his age by now" Jasper sighs as he swings his legs from the trees and Connor turns his head to listen to his son.

"Were you not rooting for a daughter?" Connor asks.

"Yeah, but leaving a mate is one thing, leaving my daughter behind as well would have been a fucking mess" he sighs.

"Who is stopping you?" he teases and Jasper sighs.

"When I have a kid, I am not letting both my mate and my child alone"

"He seems tensed" Connor nods at Enzo.

"The council came for another visit"

"Do they even know when to give up?" Connor asks.

"They are not getting their hands on the special kids, he is the only one they have, they are bound to get desperate" Jasper points and Connor nods.

"But I do think the guy needs a good training" Jasper adds and Connor frowns.

"He does, training from his father would have been better though" Connor points.

"Yeah, but they are intentionally making him weak"

"So, he could survive" Connor agrees.

"I wonder until when"

"Meaning"

"He will have to sort himself out and we cannot always be around him"

"The boy tried to kill himself, Jas. We will have to stay around"

"That's why he needs someone who will train him better and his pack will never do it. Half the pack members are scared of him and other half are cautious about it"

"His complete shift was rather late"

"That's because he was nothing but a scaredy cat. Let's go, the boy has finished clearing his head" Jasper groans as he stands up at the tree branch and Connor nods as he watches Enzo grab his shirt and make his way towards the pack house.

"I sense a shift"

"He just did" Jasper stretches his arms.

"A shift in his behavior" Connor points and Jasper tilts his head as he turns to watch the boy.

"Why not?" Enzo asks his father who stops going through the files to stare at his son.

"I need you in the pack"

"For what?" Enzo asks and Antonio turns to glance at his mate for help.

"Don't look at mom, I want to go join them" he points and Antonio sighs.

"Enzo, you are not going anywhere"

"You know because you think I am weak, I feel weak. I am no help for the pack, no one trust me to lead this pack! Can you not see dad, I do not need you and mom to be careful of me, my feelings because they are already in ruins along with my pride...

How can I lead a pack when I cannot even lead my own life without none of you pointing at the direction I need to head?"

"You need to know that you are different"

"Fuck different" Enzo shouts.

"Enzo" Antonio shouts at his son.

"I am sick dad, I am sick and tired to people whispering behind my back as if I do not hear, I am sick of hiding within these wall as if it's not suffocating...

I will always be different in people's eyes no matter what I do, where I am but you two locking me up in the house sure makes me feel incompetent"

"Son" Antonio sighs as he kneels and puts his hand on his son's shoulder.

"I am tired of hiding, dad. I am tired to getting beaten" he sighs with his head down and Antonio closes his eyes as he pulls his son in his arms.

Adrian walks in the room to find the council waiting for him, he nods at Romano who was already present in the room.

"What's the call about?" Adrian asks the men.

"Antonio has finally accepted our offer to let his son be trained" the council states and Adrian frowns as Antonio had not informed anyone of them about it.

"I want you to train him" the men ask Adrian and he raises a brow.

"You do know I am no longer a mere guard but an Alpha of a pack, I am not babysitting anyone" he points.

"It's not a request Adrian"

"That is why I am refusing it" he points and the men glance at each other.

"Antonio will arrive along with his pack within a week, so think on the offer. Him having the blood of a Royal I thought maybe you would be excited to take on the job" they state and Adrian says nothing as he walks out of the room.

Meeting Warren out of the building, Adrian gets in the car asking his friend to drive away.

"What did they say now, to piss you off?" Warren asks as he starts the car before they drive away.

"Antonio is moving his pack closer to where the council are"

"And, that is our problem how?" Warren asks.

"The council wants me to train Antonio's son"

"Which one?" Warren asks interested.

"Crystal" Adrian grits his teeth and Warren takes a deep breath before he glances at Adrian.

"Do it" he asks and Adrian frowns turning to stare at his friend.

"Why?" he asks Warren.

"I have met the boy once, he was fucking terrified to even step out of his house, his own goddamn house in his own goddamn pack"

"If Antonio cannot train his own son properly that is not my fault and..."

"That's not the point Ad. The point is, they made the boy who he is, who he was. Scared him so much that he could not even walk out of his own house. If things did not go south, I would have stayed at the pack and maybe train him myself but you are a better option than anyone of us" Warren explains.

"I do not want to create something the council will use against us" Adrian points.

"Then no one is better at the job than you"

"What do you mean?"

"They think they will have a weapon with themselves after you finish the training Ad, so don't train him properly to not be a weapon" Warren requests and Adrian sighs.

"It has a pool" Sean squeals as he runs inside the house before he runs around screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Shut up" Enzo groans as he glares at his brother.

"He is still no fun" Sean sighs as he lies on the ground before he starts to sniff around the house.

"I like it here" Julian grins as he opens the window.

"Yeah, totally loving it" Finn adds munching on the chips before.

"Heard you having special training tomorrow" Julian asks his brother and Enzo ignores it.

"How come he has special trainings and we have school?" Sean groans as he makes his way towards his mother.

"Go unpack your bags boys and help your father to move the furniture" Marissa asks instead.

"Dad is strong mom; he can do it all" Sean smiles as he hugs his mother who narrows her eyes at the boy.

"I know honey, but few more hands will make things easier, now you two boys are on duty to distribute water and lunch to everyone" she asks her twins who groans.

"But mom" Finn groans.

"Julian, unpack and help the pack to move in"

"Enzo, get your head out of the book and go check if your father needs help" Marissa orders.

"Yeah Enzo, go help, it's your idea to move here, anyways" Julian teases.

Enzo sighs as he stands up and puts his book down before walking out of the house.

"You two, do not jump in the pool it's not clean" Marissa shouts at her twin while the family along with their pack move in new surroundings.

Enzo frowns as he steps out of the car and looks around to find nothing by empty field. He turns towards his father in question.

"Where are we?" Enzo asks his father.

"Martin pack, Adrian Martin will meet you here. I would have stayed to check things but need to drop the twins at their school. Take care" Antonio smiles while the twin takes their head out of the window.

"Try not to die" they shout waving at Enzo who sighs as be pulls his bag up in his shoulder before he jumps away to dodge whatever he felt coming his way.

Turning around he finds no one, his senses in high alert he narrows his eyes as he looks around to find that he was not alone.

A week later...

Enzo groans as he lies on the couch and grabs a book enjoying the silence, he turns the page and continues to read before he gets up as something burns his nose. Sniffing around he frowns, getting up he puts his book down before he walks out of the room outside the house.

Enzo shakes his head as he finds the twin running around the grounds, with a shake of head he turns around to walk back to the house only to stop as his whole body froze.

A car stops outside of the house and a door opens before he hears his brother squeal.

"Erika!" the twin shouts as they stop doing whatever they were doing to run to where the car stopped.

"My twinkies" the girl screams and Enzo takes a step back as he stares wide eyes when a girl with two pigtails, jumps out of the car before she crashes into his brother, all of them fall down on the ground before laughing.

"I dressed prettily today" the girl shouts and the twin snickers.

"Be nice" the woman inside the car shouts and the girl turns to wave at her mother.

"And you don't enjoy too much" she orders her mother before they twin and the girl holds each other hands and dances off to where Enzo's parents were at.

"Hi" Erika grins as she stands in front of Enzo.

"Get away from him" Finn shouts as he pulls Erika away from Enzo who growls at his brother.

"Who is he?" the girl asks.

"Our big brother, he does not like fun and he is dangerous" Finn replies.

"He does not look one" Erika frowns.

"Let's not be near him okay, he is even getting special training to be more dangerous"

"More dangerous? Will he be able to kill mosquito with flick of his fingers?" she asks excited and Enzo glares at his brother Julian who bursts out in laughter.

"Not that" Sean frowns.

"Ugh, then he is no danger. I can kill mosquito with my two hands"

"Even we can" the twin states.

"But have you tried killing a man's pride with one hand?" she asks and the twin frowns before shaking their head no.

"Then let me show you how" Erika states before she lines up the boys and raises both her hands before giving them a tight slap.

"A slap will always put a man in place and a kick between their leg will always put them in peace" she points while the boys rub their faces.

"That hurt" they groan.

"That's why mosquito dies a quick death when two hands are joined"

"Now do you want to rest in peace?" she asks both the boys who glance at each other before shaking their head no.

"But it's fun" she points before the boys starts to runs and she shouts for them to stop as she runs behind them.

"I like her" Julian grins as he sits beside his brother.

A year later...

Enzo stands still as the men walk make their way towards him, he nods when they nod his way before they signal for Adrian who sighs as he makes his way towards the pack house along with the men.

"Enzo?" one of the councils, asks who waits outside and he nods.

"I am Thomas" the man smiles as he puts his hand out to shake and Enzo raises his hand but hisses as he feels a deep cut.

Grabbing his hand, he glares at the man who had a knife in his hand who has put a cut on Enzo's hand.

"What the hell was that for?" Thomas asks his fellow council who grins.

"Just checking the blood" the man states and Enzo narrows his eyes at the man.

"Sorry about that" Thomas apologizes on behalf of another man.

"See you around" the man grins as he walks away and Enzo frowns before he is left alone.

"They took my blood" Enzo informs to Adrian who frowns as he stares at Enzo.

"One of them cut my skin"

"Fuck" Adrian sighs as he nods.

"Will everything be okay?" he asks Adrian who nods his head.

"I will talk about it with them"

"Why did they come for a visit?" he asks Adrian who sighs.

"They wanted to give you a task"

"Task?" he frowns.

"I said you were not ready"

"I am not?" he asks and Adrian nods his head.

"You should never be ready for a task given by the council, now go home. I will see you tomorrow" Adrian asks and Enzo nods before he grabs his bag and makes his way back home.

"Hi" Erika grins as she opens the door and Enzo narrows his eyes at the girl before he moves past her.

"Mr. Dangerous is in the house" Erika shouts at the top of her lungs and Enzo hears his mother chuckle.

"How was your day?" Erika asks following him.

"Go away" Enzo grumbles as he makes his way towards his room.

"I can't, your mother is cooking dinner for me. I am a guest" she notifies him.

"How are you a guest when you are here all the time?" he asks.

"It's my charm that I make people forget I am a guest" she smiles and he glances at her with a frown.

"Do you want me to sing a song for you?" she asks.

"No" he replies turning around.

"Do you want me to dance for you?" she asks again.

"No"

"How about a story?" she asks making him sigh as he turns around and puts his hand on the door stopping her from walking in his room.

"Not interested" he states making her pout.

"Don't pout" he narrows his eyes at her.

"But I have this really interesting one I want to share with you" she whines.

"Go tell the twin"

"But they are not as dangerous as you" she groans and he takes a deep calm breath.

"You..."

"And the man that followed us looks very dangerous" she adds and Enzo drops his hand from the door.

"A what?" he asks her.

"A man, he has been following us for a while"

"And the twin does not know?" he asks.

"I only noticed him because he made a very nasty face like this...when he saw me" she points and Enzo nods before he shoos her out and she frowns stepping backwards while he walks out along with her and closes his room's door.

"Can I not sit on your bed and tell you the story?" she asks.

"Do you remember his face?" he asks instead and she nods her head.

"I never forget the face of a man who makes a nasty face seeing me" she points and Enzo sighs as he kneels in front of her.

"Close your eyes and remember his face for me" he requests and she grins.

"I will do anything for you" she states before closing her face and Enzo puts his hand on both side of her head as he tries to pick the imagine of the man.

"What are you doing?" Enzo asks his brother Julian who sits up on his bed when Enzo knocks on the door.

"What's up?" Julian asks.

"Can you pick the twin and drop them back home after your practice?" he asks and Julian frowns.

"What is it?"

"Just for few days"

"Did something happen?" Julian asks.

"Erika said, someone has been following them"

"Did you tell dad?" Julian asks.

"No, I won't. I will talk with Adrian; can you just look out for the twin"

"Cool" Julian agrees and Enzo nods his head before he turns to walk out but stops and turns to face Julian.

"Grab Erika along too" he asks before he walks out.

"She will kill me if I left her alone anyways" Julian grumbles as he lays back on the bed.

"Are you sure it was one of the councils?" Adrian asks Enzo who nods his head.

"Yeah, the same guy who took my blood" Enzo points and Adrian frowns.

"Have you talked with Antonio?" Adrian asks.

"No, dad has been busy with the pack stuff. Many of the pack members are not getting used to this place"

"Okay, I will look into it"

"But what if he does something?" Enzo asks Adrian.

"We will put a stop before he does anything" Adrian promises before Enzo grabs his bag and walks out of the training grounds.

Enzo stops the car at the front of his house, stopping the car he grabs his bag to get out but stops as he hears squeals coming from his house making him wince. With a deep breath he puts his bag on the seat before starting the car as he drives away from his home.

Driving away from his house, Enzo frowns as he finds something move along side his car so he stops the car and look out to find someone standing outside waiting for him.

"Who are you?" Enzo asks as he pulls the window down to find Thomas standing.

"There is a problem" Thomas states.

"So, you mean his..." Adrian asks as he glances at Enzo.

"Yes, the council has found out why exactly is his blood different and powerful" Thomas informs.

"And why sudden change of heart, Thomas after all these years?" Romano questions the man.

"Even I am tired with the fight between our kind, Rom. Yes, I like having powers but not this way"

"And this is not council doing to surprise attack us?" he asks and Thomas sighs.

"They have asked someone to look out for Enzo's family, someone is always following the around, the task they wanted Enzo to do was to kill Antonio's pack, his own pack"

"What?" Adrian asks shocked.

"They know, Enzo's blood can kill our kind"

"They have tried?" Adrian asks to be sure.

"Yes, they did, just a drop of his blood and it's all over for us"

"None of you seem to be shocked" Thomas frowns as he stares at each of them.

"Because we had known"

"Ever since?" Thomas demands.

"It does not matter; we cannot just sit quiet about this" Adrian states as he rubs his face.

"Throwing Crystal aside was not enough that they had to plan all this shit?" Romano growls.

"Antonio's pack is not the only pack, actually"

"And they think I am stupid enough to harm my own pack?" Enzo speaks for the first time after the conversation started.

"Not if you had any idea you were harming your own pack" Thomas informs and Enzo grits his teeth.

"So, they have planned on hurting the ones who are going to move back to our old pack house" Enzo points and Thomas nods his head.

"It has taken us years to bring this amount of harmony and a little trust on the council, if someone is hurt now it will only bring war" Thomas points ad Adrian nods his head.

"Let's discuss on this matter later on" Adrian points and everyone stares at him.

"But..." Enzo starts but Adrian raises his hand to stop him.

"Later" Adrian stares at Enzo pointedly before he glances at Thomas.

"Appreciate your help"

"I want Crystal back as well, Adrian, no matter how you all think" Thomas points before he takes his leave.

"Certainly, you are not planning to talk it through, right?" Enzo asks as he stares at Adrian who takes a seat.

"We cannot completely trust what Thomas says, Enzo. He has been on their side for too long. Right now, we don't know if he is a friend or pretending to be one"

"Yeah, this maybe some sort of ploy they are trying to use against us" Romano agrees.

"Rom, you try to gather as much about what they are planning as you can and Enzo don't do anything none of us are prepared for" Adrian asks and Enzo nods his head before they all say their goodbye.

Enzo open his room's door to find his mother sitting on his bed, he smiles as he walks in and sits beside her on the bed.

"You skipped the dinner" she points and he nods his head.

"I will eat it in few minutes, you go and rest" he states and she turns to face him.

"Why did you leave?" she questions and he grabs her hand.

"Something came up"

"Your father has been stressed out about the families that are leaving" she points and he nods his head.

"I am sorry for all the mess" he apologizes and she shakes her head no.

"I am not saying all of these to make you feel guilty, Enzo"

"But giving me up would have been a better option" he points and she narrows her eyes at him.

"So, you mean you do not like us as your parents?" Antonio's voice makes them stare at the door to find the man standing.

"That's not..."

"We did not choose you Enzo, you chose us as your parents. Your mother went through many miscarriages before she had you..."

"Gio..." Marissa tries to stop him.

"No, he needs to know the sacrifices made for him. If you were not there Enzo, I don't think anyone of us were ready to have another child, ever. That means there would be no Julian or the twin. You will never have any idea the pain we felt when you came out in this world and did not breath, how we did not even have any words left to console each other but to stare at your lifeless body...

Until Crystal took the risk, when she gave you a new life, none of us had any idea what that moment of happiness would bring to us, but not one moment does any of us regret having you. Marissa may have given you birth but Crystal put her life on line for you. So, do not break hearts of two women who at the time had only one hope and that was you taking your first breath...

No matter what you become there will always remain one truth, that you have been special to all of us, you will always be special to us" Antonio states as he walks to where his son was and puts his had behind Enzo's neck squeezing it lightly.

"I will move heaven and hell if I have to, just so I can hear your first cry of victory towards life, you were our only hope, Enzo. You were our first son who went and won against all the odds" Antonio states and Enzo nods before he stands to hug his father.

"Thank you" Enzo whispers before he kisses on top of his mother's head.

"Ninja" Erika gasps as she hurries to stare out of the window to look outside in darkness but sees no one.

With a sigh, she turns around only to scream as she finds Enzo standing behind her.

"Shut up" he mumbles and she slumps down on the floor.

"You scared me" she accuses him.

"What are you doing here?" he asks and she frowns before she gets up from the floor.

"I was on my way to get ice-cream when I saw ninja" she points following him.

"Ninja?" he asks and she nods before she hands him her doll.

"Yeah, hiya...hiya" she shouts as she shows him some moves.

"They move in silence at the dark night" she whispers and he sighs.

"You watch too much movies"

"Where else do you think I get extra knowledge?" she asks before she drags a chair and gets up on it to open the fridge.

"For someone so little you sure eat so much" he points when she pulls out two tubes of ice-cream.

"And for someone so dangerous you do not even know how to kill a mosquito with one hand" she grumbles as she gets down.

"Where are the twin?" he asks and she shrugs her shoulders.

"Doing homework"

"And you don't have one?" he asks her and she rolls her eyes.

"I have brains to use it, they are doing my homework"

"Why?"

"Because they lost a bet" she points and he shakes his head.

"You cannot always..."

"You are not my father to lecture me on what I can do or not and I am not your wife to do as you say" she points.

"Wife?" Enzo scoffs.

"I have started to grow bobbies, soon I will start to wear bra and when that happen it's game over for you" she points and Enzo falls off the chair at her words.

"What?" he stares at the girl in disbelief.

"You heard me" Erika grins as she jumps off the chair and grabs her doll before she walks away.

"Get out the house" Enzo shouts behind her as he cannot believe what he just heard.

Walking back to his room, Enzo closes the door only to stop when he finds someone in his room but before he could react the man attacks. Enzo feels himself being dragged; he tries to move his body but he cannot as if something heavy was sitting on him.

He hears mutters but cannot pinpoint who it was, his breath comes in shallow before he fills himself being thrown down.

"We should not keep his alive" he hears.

"Have you lost your mind? What the hell have you been thinking?" another voice joins.

"I don't care, we cannot just let him roam all alone, he is too dangerous"

"This is not what we planned"

"Whatever we did, killing him is a better idea"

"You are not the one to call the shot here" the man snaps.

"Did you not see what happened to the man we let taste his blood? He is a walking killing machine"

"It does not matter, we will have a good use of him, right now his death will do us no good"

"I don't care, I don't like knowing someone has the power to kill us just like that, one drop and we are all gone, poof"

"Don't be stupid, we can use him for our own good"

"No, we will find another way to get power and control, something like him alive is not the answer" they men argues and Enzo shifts as he feels the heaviness leave his body.

"Hurry take him back before he wakes up" the man asks.

"Why don't we just take all of his blood and keep for ourselves, huh? That way he does not have to stay around"

"Not until we find the other kids"

Enzo tries to focus as they men keeps arguing, when he feels he is getting the control of his body, he groans and the talks stop, slowly he gets up from the ground. Shaking his head, he tries to focus on the men standing.

"Get him" one of them shout and Enzo runs his hand through his hair before someone slams into him and he stumbles.

He does not know what happens next except the fact that he feels a sharp pain shot through his body and his senses heightens and all that remains is him standing and blood everywhere, blood pouring through the council members.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter and are enjoying the book so far. I know I have messed a lot by coming back and writing all the past things, doing backward thing.

And I know many things does not make sense when you read Affection series, some events do not match and I have tried my best to shorten those mistakes. And there still is a long way, but hope I have not killed your reading vibes and the story about this particular couple is not boring you to death.

Hopefully, next chapters will be filled with happy-happy scenes, more on Connor and Crystal.
