Please delete and re add Crystal because of confusion with chapter 16 and 17

Destiny smiles as she swings her legs and watches her brother control the horse, she laughs when he falls off the horse before getting up.

"You are getting old, Connie" she shouts teasing her brother who just silently focuses on his task.

"And you are no fun when Chrissie is not around" she screams which gets her brother's attention.

"And you are annoying me" he sighs.

"Just admit you miss her" Des giggles and Connor groans before he lets go of the horse and walks towards his sister.

"Don't you have eggs to collect?"

"Crops to water, do the dishes, clean the house, yes brother I got stuff to do"

"Then go do it" he frowns.

"Nope, not until you tell me what you are getting me for my birthday" she asks.

"How about horse's poop?" he asks

"Ewe" she scrunches her nose.

"Oh, then cow's" he teases her as he folds the rope.

"You are the worst brother ever" she grumbles jumping off the fence.

"Worms will have to do then" he continues and Destiny groans as she hits her brother who pulls her hair and the bother-sister duo starts to fight, mostly Destiny trying to kick him but she fails.

"I will give you cow's poop as dinner, you just wait" she screams as she stops trying to kick him and turns around to walk back to the house only to yelp as he picks her up at once and twirls her.

"Connor" Destiny screams scared he will drop her.

"How about a sister?" he laughs as he stops and Destiny sighs in relief before she realizes what was her birthday gift.

"Cheap, cheapo brother of the century. I will get a sister sooner or later, so no way" she shouts as she puts her hands on her hips glaring at him.

"Okay, fine, what do you want then?" he asks as he rubs the back of his neck.

"A horse" she grins.

"Horse, we already got one"

"But my own"

"There is nothing your and mine in this house, it's ours"

"Aww, that's so sweet to hear but do not for a second think I will let you sweep me off with your buttery words, save them for Crystal. In case you forgot, I am your sister not girlfriend" she warns pointing a finger at him and he grins.

"Well then I am out of option, horse is too expensive"

"Why is everything expensive for us, Connor?" she stomps her legs.

"That is because it is, now go finish your chores. I have some work at the village" he asks and Destiny groans.

"I hate you, worst brother everrrrrrrrrr" she shouts before rushing to the house and Connor shakes his head as he grabs his shirt and saddle before making his horse listen to him.

Connor whistles as he rides his horse and making his way to the village, getting off the horse, he binds it on the pole and fills water in a bucket. Then he makes his way to the silversmith, he nods and throws few hellos to the villagers on his way.

"Connor, my boy what brings you here" the smith asks and Connor smiles before he pulls out a small bag from his pocket.

"I need you to clean these for me"

"Wedding bands?" the man frowns and Connor shy out a bit.

"Who is the lucky girl?" the man asks and Connor rubs the back of his neck.

"Uh...well"

"Okay, okay" the smith grins knowing Connor nature before he takes the rings.

"Also, I wanted sell these" he asks and the man frowns.

"Sell, these why?"

"Uh, Des's birthday is few days, so wanted to get her something" he explains and the man nods before he walks inside and comes out with a box.

"I got a better option for you" the smith states as he opens the box to show him some silver chains.

"Thanks, but I cannot afford these" he hesitates to even look at it.

"I will give you a special discount my boy, it's your lucky day. Chose one for your sister and you don't even have to give me extra money, all in for what you have come to sell" the man states and Connor frowns thinking about it as he glances at the man once.

"No extra?" Connor asks and when the man nods Connor picks a necklace for his sister.

"Dragonfly, good choice my boy" the man grins before he closes the box and Connor stares at the necklace, thinking his sister will definitely love it.

"You are the best brother, everrrrrrrrrrr" Destiny screams at the top of her lungs as she runs around the living room in happiness and Connor groans knowing his sister found the necklace, he was supposed to give her on her birthday and that night was definitely not her birthday.

"How many times have I told you to not sniff in my room?" he asks as she jumps in his arms in happiness.

"I am bad with numbers, Connie but whatever. Also, stop leaving things in your pockets which makes it easier for me to see it" she grins as she kisses both his cheeks.

"These are definitely best brother ever proof, material"

"Good to know" he smiles as he lets her down and she dances around for a while.

"So, what's for my birthday?" she asks making him frown.

"You are wearing it"

"But it's pre birthday present, Connor, I need a present birthday present and then a post birthday"

"I am not spending a penny on you now" he chides her and she sighs.

"Of course, because things would be different if it was Crystal or maybe your daughter" she sighs sadly making him narrow his eyes at her act.

"Yeah, because unlike my sister, I am sure my wife and daughter would definitely not blackmail me" he states and she gasps.

"You just called Crystal your wife"

"Yeah so? Of course, I will not have a daughter if I am not married to her" he shrugs his shoulders and she grins.

"By next year, I maybe an aunt" she giggles.

"And to get to next year, we need to be alive and seeing how you have cooked dinner I wonder if we will get to see next year" he points and she gasps as she hurries to take off her necklace and hands him.

"Now, why you are giving it back?" he asks.

"I may drop it from my neck or it may get damaged by the fire, so keep it safe for me" she grins before dancing towards the kitchen to prepare the dinner.

A knock on the door makes Connor stop what he is doing, he makes his way to the door just as his sister shout it must be Crystal, which brings a smile on his face which drops as he opens the door to find three men standing on his doorstep.

"Hello there" one of them smile making Connor frown.

"How can I help you?" he asks just as his sister rush out.

"Is it Crystal, is it Crystal?" Destiny chants eager to show her new gift but she stops as she stares at the three strangers.

"Go back in, Des" Connor asks his sister before he turns to face the men only to get connected to one of their fists.

"Connie" Des screams in horror as her brother flies inside the house with the blow so she hurries to help him up.

"Fucking humans, I did not even hit him that hard" one of the chuckles before the men steps in the house and locks the door.

"Well, hello there, little girl" the man grins and Connor push his sister behind him.

"Who are you and what do you want?" Connor asks as he tries to get up only to be slammed on the wall.

The man holding Connor sniffs Connor's neck while his sister screams for him.

"Not marked yet" the man states as he lets go of Connor who slips down on the floor.

"She is more stupid than I thought" another man speaks before they look around the house.

"Hmm, the princess definitely like a cozy house"

"Cozy? This looks like trash and smell like shit" one of them states while Des runs to her brother's side checking on him.

"What's your name?" one of them asks Connor who stares at the strangers quietly and when one of them eyes his sister he hurries to once again pull his sister behind him.

"Don't worry, we do not hurt little girls" the men snickers.

"What do you want?" Connor asks them.

"Uh-uh, we ask the question not the other way around. So, lets start again, what's your name?" the men ask.

"Connor"

"What the fuck kind of name is Connor?"

"At least their initials match. C for Crystal, C for Connor" they laugh.

"They know Crystal" Des whispers to her brother.

"Of course, we do little girl. Who does not know the fucking future Queen" the man scoffs and both the brother-sister duo stiffens.

"Oh wait, it looks like they don't" the men ask in surprise before they start to laugh.

"Has little queen been sneaking around" they laugh.

"What do you want?" Connor asks not understanding what was going on.

"What we want we will show you, take him away leave the girl here" one of them asks and the two goons grabs Connor who fights not wanting them touching him sister but they are too powerful as they drag him away and out of the house.

"Where are you taking my brother?" Des asks in horror and the man remaining asks her to take a seat.

"Sit little girl, your brother will be safe with them, while we have a little chat"

"But..." Des frowns as she stares towards the door, they took her brother out of.

"So, how long as Crystal been visiting you?" the man asks Des who jumps as she hears her brother scream.

"Why are you hurting my brother?" Des asks.

"Listen, little one the sooner you answer me the sooner we will get out of here" the man smiles and Des bites her inner cheeks to stop from crying before she answers all of the man's questions.

"Aww, what a beautiful love story" the man sighs before he smiles at Des who has tears running down her eyes as she had been hearing nothing but her brother's screams.

She gasps when the man smiles big and shows his pointy teeth her way.

"Do you know who we are? What our kind is?" he asks her and she shakes her head no, now scared for herself.

"Do us a little favor little one, we will not come back and hurt you or your brother if the next time the Queen does arrive here, you ask her to leave and never come back"

"But..."

"Do you really think a girl like her, a Queen in making will be happy staying in this house? Do you really believe that she enjoys feeding the cows and hens, collecting eggs, selling milks? Do you even know who important she is...

A Queen, who will rule not just us, but this village as well. And when she will become a Queen, she will rule these villagers, why do you think she did nothing when those wolves came and attacked, those guards destroyed everything?

"Crystal is not like that, she is nice"

"Then why has she been lying to you and your brother about who she truly is. She is a monster just like us, now make it easier for both of you and ban her from coming back here, else..." the man stops and glances at the door where Connor was taken to.

"You are a smart girl I think way smart then your big brother. Your bloodline can never be equal to ours; your brother is nothing but a dirtbag, a mere human who can disappear with just a flick of our fingers and she is a Queen, born to rule...

She rules us vampires, witches, werewolves and soon she will rule you humans. As much as pathetic your brother is do not make it more pathetic by thinking he can be with someone like her. He hair clip is more expensive than your house, have you never seen her clothes and stuffs to notice it?" the man asks before he gets up and both his goons arrives at his side startling Des once again.

"Be smart little one, you and your brother's life is not even worth it" the man states before leaving and as soon as they are out, Des runs out of the house towards the barn to check on her brother.

"Connor" Destiny screams as she finds him laying on the ground beaten to pulp.

"Please don't die one me" she cries when she hears no sound coming from him.

"He won't die just now, little one, but soon if you don't do as I asked you of" the man appears scaring Destiny before he tears open his wound and feeds the blood to Connor.

"Don't worry, it will help him heal soon, don't want our Queen to see too much damage on her mate's body" the man grins before he disappears while Des puts her arms around her brother holding him tight as Connor remains unconscious.
