Chapter 33: The Woods

(O.D.D.- Can you see 'him' in the picture above? (~>_>)~)

<<(In the Real World)>>

"Aw man!  This isn't funny."

A brunet with a fluffy beard peaked into Cry's dark house.

"F********k, it's like one of those haunted games...."

He huffed and tugged his bear, mitten-hat down.

He pushed the unlocked door open further.

"Pewds?  Cry?" 'It's not like Cry to leave his door unlocked--even though he invited us over for games...'

The brunet entered the house before closing the door behind him.

It was currently noon, and orange rays of light poured into the living room from the windows.

The brunet scratched his beard and darted to a wall, hiding behind it; he wrapped the mitten parts of his hat over his mouth before making a ninja hand sign.

"Nin, nin..."

Meow.

"ASDFGHJKL!"

The brunet jumped, dropped his little act and spun around.

He sighed in relief when he caught sight of a familiar feline.

"Geez, Kat!  You scared me!"

The brown cat mewled forlornly, causing the brunet to blink in confusion.

"Hey, hey...what's up?"

Kat merely went to Cry's room; the door was open and the computer was still on.

The brunet shivered slightly at the eerie sight, but he followed the small feline to the room.

When he got there, he saw Cry, who had his back facing him.

"Cry--"

"A-Another one....how a-annoying..."

The other brunet froze and gazed at 'Cry' with shock.

'Cry' sighed as he got up from his seat and walked over to the brunet.

"You l-lot are j-just going to m-make him d-disappear faster and faster..."

The darker-haired brunet jumped when 'Cry'--now Virus--lifted his head to look at the other.

"Farewell."

A sea-green light surrounded the newcomer.

<<(With Cry and the Others)>>

"We're in another swamp..."

Cry lifted his feet to try get the muck off; he shivered slightly.

'Ah, that's right...'

The brunet glanced at his back, where his jacket and t-shirt underneath was torn.

Sup hopped out of his hoodie and onto his shoulder, looking at Cry's current problem.

There was a white glow and his jacket was fixed; a Cry blinked in surprise and looked at the white creature with amazement.

"Cool!  You can fix almost everything!"

Sup giggled and danced around Cry's shoulder before stiffening; the brunet blinked in confusion at the other's reaction until he too felt a chill go up his spine when he saw something.

Russ noticed Cry's frozen form; he raised an eyebrow.

"Cry?  What's up?"

The brunet didn't respond to the other as he walked up to a pine tree not too far from the group.

He found a piece of folder paper there; he ripped it off.

*DON'T LOOK OR IT TAKES YOU.*

A sound of static reached Cry's ears; he quickly whipped his head around to alert the others.

"Everyone!  We need to--!"

They were gone.

Cry widened his eyes with shock.

'They were behind me a few seconds ago!'  He looked at the paper and clenched it tightly. 'No way.....'

Sup trembled slightly.

Cry grit his teeth as his eyes lit up with determination.

'They can't be dead.  I know that for a fact.'

Cry stuffed the paper into his pocket and glanced around the pitch-black forest.

He activated his left had; blue lightning crackled along the arm as it illuminated the forest slightly.

Cry took a deep breath before walking through the damp woods.

~~

"The he**?!  How can we suddenly get separated when we were so close to each other!?"

"Shut up.  You're noisy."

"At least show some concern, Snake-a**!  And why the he** did I have to get stuck with you of all people!?"

Scott butted heads with the said brunet, who simply knocked his head in return; the taller was frowning.

"I am concerned."

Scott let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing his forehead.

'D*** his head's as hard as a rock.' "...What the f*** should we do now?"

Snake activated Peeping Tom; his eyes glowed green as he glanced around the dark space.

It wasn't long before the brunet started to walk in one direction; Scott hurriedly followed him.

"Where the he** are you going!?"

Scott bumped into the other when he suddenly stopped; the ravenet grumbled as he rubbed his nose.

There was a sound of paper being ripped off; Snake shoved it in front of Scott's face.

The ravenet growled lowly.

"I don't have f****** night vision like you."

Snake deadpanned the other.

Scott grumbled before a thought came to him; he activated his right hand, causing green ghosts to surround them.

It illuminated the place slightly as Scott took the time to study the paper.

"...'Always watching'?  'No eyes'?  What f*** is that supposed to mean?"

Snake took the paper back and studied it himself; he sniffed it as he ran a hand over the paper.

"...Blood.  There's blood on it--a few weeks old."

Scott frowned and glanced around; he did feel that something was watching them.

The ravenet sent a few more ghosts out and made them form a circle around them.

"Lead the way, Snake-a**.  I don't have the same tracking skills you have."

The brunet grunted in return and started to lead the way with Scott watching their backs.

~~

"Gosh darn it!  Why does this have to happen again!?"

"Keep calm.  Now's not the time to panic."

Red sighed softly as Raven was gritting her teeth in frustration.

"We can't panic right now.  Let's just find the others."

Raven slowly nodded her head.

Red lifted her left hand, activating Devil's Kiss, causing a ball of molten flame to appear in her palm.

She motioned over to Raven as they walked through the eerily silent forest.

~~

"Uuurgh.....I wish Edgar was here..."

Russ sighed for the nth time as he glanced back at his current companion.

"Felix, he's a pug--what could he have done against a horde of zombies?"

"Shoot them with his laser eyes!"

Russ sweatdropped at the blonde's answer.

"....Since when does your pug have las--you know what?  Don't answer that question I was about to ask..."

Pewds huffed and crossed his arms childishly.

The two walked a bit blindly for a few minutes before coming to a break in the forest.

Pewds sighed in relief as he stepped out of the trees, but he froze at the familiar scene.

'...Oil containers...'

He widened his eyes at the yellow cylinders he whipped his head to Russ.

"RUSSRUSSRUSSRUSSRUSSRUSSRUSSRUSS--!"

A tick mark appeared on the said brunet's head as he slapped a hand over Pewds mouth.

"I'm right next to you!  Tell me what's wrong."

Russ removed his hand, but Felix went into another mashed up series of words.

"Ithinkwe'reintheworldofSlenderman!" (I think we're in the world of Slenderman!)

But with his sharp hearing, Russ could decipher the blonde's words; he widened his eyes as he flitted his chestnut irises around.

"...Felix...I need you to keep calm and breathe.  We need to find the others--we're all in danger now."

Pewds slowly calmed down and nodded his head as Russ kept his guard up, motioning for Felix to follow.

~~

Cry tilted his head as he came upon another paper; he sighed softly.

*LEAVE ME ALONE.*

'I had hoped to be wrong....but we're in the world of Slenderman...'

The brunet tore the paper off and stuffed it into his pocket.

Snap.

Cry widened his eyes and immediately brought his Okami sword out and aimed it at the neck of something.

"Hyaaaah!  Isurrenderohghostlyspiritualthingy!" (I surrender oh ghostly spiritual thingy!)

The brunet blinked in surprise as he stared into dark-chocolate eyes.

He glanced at the bear mitten-hat on the darker-haired brunet's head before looking back at the other's face.

"Ken...?"
