"Thinking about your father?" Curt asked Autumn as they stood on the deck of the airship that Neil once commanded.

"Yeah...it all happened so quickly. I don't even really know what I felt or remember what I said," Autumn replied.

"Yeah, I'm sorry. I can't even begin to imagine what you're thinking or feeling," Curt empathized.

"He's supposed to be dead, Curt...dead. All this time he's been alive masquerading as General Richter. What's going on?" Autumn broke into tears.

Curt embraced Autumn as she sobbed.

"There has to be an explanation. We won't stop until we find out. I promise you," Curt whispered.

"Promise me we'll do everything we can to save him...please," Autumn pleaded.

"I promise, Love...I promise," Curt answered.

"Curt, look ahead on the sea...doesn't look too promising!" Mark shouted.

Curt turned to look out over the bow of the airship. In the distance, he could see the Myrrhauder flying ahead. Down below on the sea further in the distance, he could see several sea ships that appeared to be guarding an island.

"Melly!" Curt called.

"What's up, Curt?" Melly replied as she jogged over.

"Do you think Guardian Leviathan might help us get to the island? Looks like we've got some company down on the sea. You said Guardian Leviathan was a sea dragon, right?" Curt asked.

"Yup. We can sure give it a try. Captain Ren, bring us down as close to the sea as you can!" Melly shouted.

Melly patted Fenrir's head and then knelt down on the deck. Curt and Autumn both knelt with her just as they had when Melly had called to Guardian Bahamut.

"Guardian Leviathan, we are in need. A great peril threatens our world. Please lend us your aid," Melly whispered as she clutched her crystal pendant.

Melly continued to whisper as Ren brought the airship down close to the surface of the sea.

"We don't have much time, Curt. We only have enough myrrh for one more large blast from the cannon, and we have to save that for the meteor. We'll be in their range in a few minutes. I hope you all know what you're doing," Mark shouted.

Suddenly, a great stream of water shot up into the air off the portside of the airship. Everyone watched as a large pearl-colored sea serpent creature leapt into the air and then crashed back into the sea. The creature was easily twice the length of the airship.

"She's here...Guardian Leviathan," Melly whispered as she rose and ran to the deck railing.

Everyone watched as Guardian Leviathan dove under water and sped toward the Torenada ships. Moments later, one of the three ships was suddenly thrown into the air as Leviathan struck it from beneath with great force. The ship hit the water and broke in half, capsizing in the process. Leviathan then rose beside the second ship, roared, and brought her body down upon the ship vehemently, causing it, too, to break in half. Finally, Leviathan wrapped her tail around the third ship and began to turn it until it capsized. Leviathan circled the carnage once, roared, and then disappeared under the water.

"Thank you, Leviathan. Thank you for helping us. We won't forget you," Melly whispered.

"We're still going to have to deal with Richter and Neil. Looks like they're landing on the island," Mark observed. "The myrrh cannon should take care of them and the meteor."

"No, Mark. We can't fire the myrrh cannon until we speak with Richter one more time. I promised Autumn we would do everything we can to save him. We have to try," Curt said.

"I understand, Curt. I'll do what I can to help," Mark replied.

"Thank you, my friend," Curt said.
