ACT ONE ━━━ CHAPTER TWO,
❝ i thought you were gone for good ❞
━━━━ PRESENT DAY, 2023.
◤ SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA.
𝓘t was in the middle of the day when Solar felt tense out of nowhere, feeling something off.
She shut her eyes tightly, rubbing her fingers against her temples as her head began to ache. This hadn't happened in a while, it only happened whenever something was wrong with either herself, something was happening in space, or something was happening with the planets.
And as of right now, Solar didn't know which of those were the problem.
"It hurts," She whimpered quietly, doing her best to get rid of her cruciating headache.
"Are you okay, So-na?" One of her male Korean friends asked her from across the table.
Park So-na, a fake name she now goes by just so she can blend in with today's generation.
"Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry about me Tae."
"Are you sure?" He asked concerned, seeing how his friend's face scrunched up in pain. "You don't really look okay tho-"
Taehyung was cut off by the male sitting beside him elbowing him in the stomach. "Ow! What was that for!?"
"You can't just say those things to someone who's clearly in pain, Taehyung!" The other boy scolded the brunette before turning to his immortal friend with a worried look. "Are you sure you're okay, Noona? Do you want me to call Hyung?"
(Noona is like a male calling a female that's older than him 'older sister' in Korea and Hyung is a male calling an older male 'older brother')
"No, no," She immediately declined, putting her hands down and forcing an expression that showed that she was totally fine. "There's no need to do that, Jimin. My headache is gone now."
"But-"
"If So-na Noona says she's fine, she's fine," Another male interrupted.
Solar nodded gratefully at him, "Thanks, Kook."
Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, and Jeon Jungkook. All three are K-pop Idols that come from a big K-pop group called BTS, a group of seven worldwide famous boys that people just can't get enough of.
Solar was introduced to them by another one of her K-pop Idol friends. Ever since then, the four of them always hung out whenever they were available.
Taehyung squinted his eyes at the girl for a couple of seconds before Jimin snapped him out of it.
As Jimin was scolding Taehyung, Jungkook turned to his female friend and started a conversation with her. Solar still felt the pain but used her powers to try and lessen the pain.
A trick she learned from a special someone she hasn't seen in centuries.
"And then, Hyung told me to do the laundry but..." Solar tuned out Jungkook's voice as she noticed that the coffee she was drinking shook slightly, making her furrow her eyebrows.
Right when she opened her mouth to ask the three boys if they saw what was happening, a sudden violent shake of the ground almost knocked Solar and the boys off their seats.
An earthquake.
Solar should've seen it coming.
Jungkook was quick to take Solar and bring her to the ground, wrapping his large body around hers, protecting her, while Jimin and Taehyung stayed together.
After a couple of seconds, the ground stopped shaking and the earthquake stopped.
"Are you okay, Noona?" Jungkook was quick to ask her once everything stopped and Solar nodded, not saying anything.
He stood up and helped Solar up as well. Just like Jungkook, Jimin and Taehyung asked the two of them if they were okay.
It was only then that she realized that her headache was gone like it was never there.
The sound of someone's phone ringing brought Solar back to reality, blinking rapidly before realizing that Jimin's phone was ringing.
"It's Suga Hyung," He told the three before answering the call and placing his phone against his ear. Judging from Jimin's responses, Yoongi seemed to be asking if they were okay after the earthquake that just happened.
While Jimin was on a call with Yoongi, Taehyung and Jungkook kept on telling her to go back to their dorm with them.
Solar would've accepted, she was close with all members of BTS, but after what happened, she needed time to herself.
It was common for her to zone out for hours after something like this happens.
"Thank you for the offer but I think I'll just go back to my apartment."
"Oh okay. Well, if you need anything, you know who to call."
Solar smiled at the two of them, "Of course."
How did she make such great friends like Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook?
━━━━━━━━━
𝓢olar couldn't sleep that night. Her thoughts were scattered everywhere and her memories of the past kept popping back up.
This is why she absolutely hates her power of having to feel whenever natural disasters happen. Meteors or bad things happening in space are even worse. She's thankful it was only an earthquake, but it didn't feel like a regular earthquake.
Something strange was happening to Earth and she didn't like it.
Having enough, Solar groaned loudly and sat up before grabbing her coat and wearing a pair of shoes. She took her phone and went outside her apartment, deciding to take a walk by a nearby lake.
She walked to the small bridge that was over the water, sitting down on the edge of the bridge and hanging her feet over the clear blue water. Solar sat there in silence, taking in the scenery and inhaling a deep breath of the fresh air.
And then she started to think about the events of what happened over five hundred years ago.
She remembered how different the world was, how different people acted before, how the language she was now speaking every day evolved from when she first discovered it about four thousand years ago.
She wouldn't say that she misses how the world was before but she missed the group of people she was with.
Too occupied in her thoughts and her memories of the past, Solar failed to notice the movement in the water.
A drop of water splashing her leg made her react as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog as she immediately took the rock she picked up along the way on her walk and turned it into a shield, protecting herself from the Deviant that jumped out of the water, about to chomp on her legs.
Solar stood up and transformed the shield into a golden cosmic sword, positioning it infront of her to protect herself from the Deviant that jumped out of the water and landed on the bridge a few feet away from her.
For someone who was about to get her legs bitten off, she was psychotically calm for the time being.
"What the hell?! I thought you were gone for good, you Deviant," She screamed at it before she took her hair tie off, turning it into a double-bladed valenar scimitar, also changing the sword into the same thing too.
Solar flew up in the air and speeded towards the creature, flying around it while sliding it with the two scimitars.
The girl landed in the previous spot with a triumphed smirk but it slowly turned into a frown when she saw the Deviant do something it's never been able to do before.
It healed itself.
She's fucked.
She charged for it again but the Deviant saw it coming and hit her with its large head, throwing her into the cold lake.
The Deviant went to the edge of the bridge and looked at the water, only for Solar to fly right out, all soaked with an angry expression.
"There's no way you're going to get away with getting my phone wet, you hideous creature!"
Solar looked up at the night sky and closed her eyes. She held her palms out, facing the starry sky. Soon after she did that, a bright light formed on both her hands, looking like she had just taken a bunch of stars and conjured them up together — which she, in fact, did.
She opened her eyes, which were now glowing a bright white, and faced her palms to eachother, morphing the two balls of stars together before throwing it at the Deviant.
The large creature screeched loudly in pain when the blast hit it and it fell back into the water. Solar landed on the bridge and checked to see if the Deviant was dead, but she saw no movement in the water anymore.
It could either be dead or it still managed to escape, but with a big wound on its chest that might take days to heal, that is if the Deviant's newly found power to heal is strong enough.
Solar let out a long sigh, looking around to see if anyone was there to witness what had happened. It would be a bad image if someone saw someone flying around in the air, fighting a weird-looking creature.
Once she saw no one, Solar began to walk away.
She certainly didn't want to go home because she knew that she wouldn't be able to sleep after her fight with that Deviant, so she began to head to a specific building a few blocks away.
Solar took a piece of her wet hair and pulled it out, she was now holding the single piece of her dark hair and effortlessly she turned it into her old phone.
Oh, how she loved that power.
Unlocking it and pressing on the person's contact, Solar pressed her phone against her ear as it ringed. While she waited and walked, she began to make her wet hair dry, purposely styled to be straightened and flowing behind her back.
"Hello?" The person finally picked up the phone.
"Hey, Kook. What do you say about clubbing?"
"Right now?"
"If you're available," She replied.
There was a pause on the other side before Jungkook's voice was once again heard, "Sure, Noona! Should I invite Jimin and V Hyung?"
"Of course," She said, smiling slightly when she heard Jungkook letting out a sound of excitement. "By the way, I'm heading to your dorm right now. Open the door ready for me, would you?"
"You know it's always open for you, Noona."
Solar laughed and told Jungkook that she was near the dorm before hanging up.
She plucked a flower from the bush she was walking by and turned it into a small purse, placing her phone in it before she gripped her shirt and pants, transforming them into a club-appropriate outfit. Solar stopped walking to touch her shoes and turned them into black ankle boots with a heel. She also changed her earrings and changed the necklace she was wearing into multiple ones.
After a couple of minutes, Solar stood infront of BTS' dorm. She took the handle and turned it, surprised to find the door already unlocked.
The moment she stepped into the large dorm, the three boys appeared from the corner, all dressed up for the club.
The second Jimin set his eyes on the girl, he whistled and eyed her up and down, earning a laugh from Jungkook.
"You guys ready?" She asked and Taehyung walked up to her, wrapping his arm around her shoulders with a grin on his face.
"Ready as ever."
"Let's go clubbing! Yeah!" Jimin exclaimed loudly, but not loud enough to wake up the other four members.
Little did Solar know, tonight was going to be a rollercoaster.
