ACT ZERO ━━━ PROLOGUE,
solar. beautiful solar . . .

𝓘n the beginning...

...before the six Singularities and the dawn of creation, came the CELESTIALS. Arishem, the Prime Celestial, created the first sun and brought light into the universe. Life began, and thrived. All was in balance.

Until an unnatural species of predator emerged from deep space to feed on intelligent life — they were known as DEVIANTS. The universe was plunged into chaos.

To restore the natural order, Arishem sent ETERNALS — immortal heroes from the planet Olympia — to eliminate the Deviants.

Eternals had unyielding faith in Arishem until one mission, led by the Prime Eternal, Ajak, changed everything...

"𝓘t is time." All at the same time, ten beings opened their eyes, being greeted by the form of Arishem, their maker, as a large statue in the middle of the room they were all currently in. Eleven Eternals formed around in a circle, only now being awake and granted consciousness.

Solar, the Eternal of the Stars and Planets, swiftly moved her eyes around the group, scanning each of them as she conjured up her thoughts in her head.

These will be the group of Eternals that she would be fighting along with against the Deviants for hundreds, maybe thousands of years.

Standing up with the rest of them, the eleven Eternals approached the sea-green colored wall and Solar rested her back against the smooth material, and soon, magical cosmic golden lines extracted from their place on the wall and smoothly went through her whole body.

From her chest to her waist, to her arms, and finally, her legs — magically creating a black and platinum suit with the same platinum lines all over it, making a beautiful design that all of them seem to match.

Solar began to move her legs, striding over to one of the large windows of the Domo that showed an amazing view of the planet they were sent to by Arishem as a mission to protect the human race from the Deviants.

She couldn't help but stare at the planet full of life, admiring how it glowed with the help of the far sun.

Being the Eternal of the Nine Planets, Solar could already feel the power that the Earth holds.

Solar closed her eyes and took a deep breath, desperately wanting to just reach her hand out and absorb all the power of the Earth, but she knew that she couldn't.

Atleast not yet.

"It's fascinating, isn't it?"

A low, masculine voice with a thick accent spoke from beside her, making Solar snap her eyes open and turn to the man standing beside her. The first thing she noticed was how he wasn't looking at her but watching the planet they were soon going to be on with his hands clasped behind his back.

Solar didn't reply instantly.

Instead, she eyed the male. He wore a black suit, much like hers, but his suit had red lines instead of platinum-colored ones. His hair was brown, it was a little longer in the front than the sides but not by much.

It was only when he finally turn his head to her that she was quick to notice his mesmerizing blue eyes, what pretty eyes. Solar could stare at them all day long, it was almost as amazing as the glowing blue of the Earth.

"I'm Druig," He introduced and Solar blinked.

Blood rushed to her cheeks when she saw his small smirk, hinting that he caught her staring at him, specifically his eyes. Something in her head clicked and her expression turned curious.

"Hello, Druig," She said, giving Druig the answer he wasn't expecting. "How may I help you?"

He didn't reply for a couple of seconds before the smirk on his face grew bigger and something spiked in his eyes. Druig took a step closer to the girl but Solar didn't move, making him more intrigued by her.

"Well, for an instance, you can start by telling me your name," His voice was low, whispering into her ear.

Solar only hummed and stayed still as he slowly lifted his hand up and delicately placed it on her shoulder, igniting a feeling in her chest which she chose to ignore.

"It would be a pain to not have a name to pair with a beautiful face."

Her breath hitched in her throat at his sentence as he moved his hand from her shoulder to her hair, playing with a single strand and twirling her smooth hair with his pointer finger.

Gathering up her courage, Solar placed her hands on his broad shoulders and pushed him back slightly, receiving a chuckle from Druig.

She took a step back, leaving a large space between them, and cleared her throat. "I'm Solar."

Druig's smirk turned into a smile and he nodded. "Solar," He voiced, testing out her name to see if it sounds good coming out of his mouth. Once hearing how well it sounded coming from him, he let out a hum of approval. "Beautiful Solar."

This time, all her blood rushed to her cheeks at the nickname.

Was that truly necessary to say?

"So, Beautiful Solar, what may your powers be?" He asked, acting as if he did absolutely nothing to her that made her almost unable to reply due to shock.

"I- um..." She stuttered, not sure what to say.

Thankfully, she was saved by the fact that they were about to enter Earth's atmosphere. At the same time, Ajak, the Prime Eternal and their leader, had called for all the fighters of the Eternals.

Druig noticed that she was about to leave, "Ah! So you're a fighter, then."

"Yes," She nodded, "and my guess is that you're a thinker."

"You guessed correctly, Beautiful Solar."

Gosh, not the nickname again.

The girl only rolled her eyes this time and left, not saying a word to him.

Druig stood there, his eyes never leaving hers as she approached the group of the other five fighters.

What a nice first encounter that was... but was it really their first-ever conversation?

hellooo!! an eternals fic! and a druig one too!

by the way, don't worry, this is only the prologue, chapters aren't usually this short. this was solar and druig's first impression on eachother... or is it?

just a heads up, solar is the type of girl to not trust people easily. she's kind of cold towards others so there really are some eternals who she doesn't like, and she never opens up to any of them. except druig, of course.

this is the type of story where both the boy and the girl don't open up much and basically only trust eachother.
