"Alright Death Star, we're sending you to the enemy's secret base, Dark Headquarters. We need you to collect some information on them. You're first going to go to the building on the right side of their base. There, you'll meet a spy from the West unit, under the code name of Bright Destiny. Remember that. You two will team up. Your mission is to collect the files on their main computer, save them on this flash drive, then wipe them off the hard drive, without getting caught. I don't want to lose anymore agents, got it?" the boss of the East unit asked.
"Yes sir," you said, saluting him.
"Good, now, go to this address. Once you meet up with Bright Destiny, go to the building to the left of the entrance. Understood?"
"Yes sir," you repeated. You were a spy working for the Specialized Prime Yield, or S.P.Y. which had four units (A/N: I'm sorry, okay? I can't come up with names and I actually had to go to a website to think of this. XD). You were a part of the East unit. There was also the West unit, which this Bright Destiny person was in. There's also the North unit and the South unit. Those units had the more skilled spies who were given much more dangerous missions. The East and West units were for younger, less experienced spies. Missions like these were not usually given to the training units. If a mission like this was given, it was usually a test to see how qualified a spy was. This was your test. If you pulled off this mission, you would be recruited to be with one of the elite teams!
"Go head there now. He'll be waiting for you."
"Not if I get there first," you replied, grinning. Your boss slightly smiled back. He, you say? You thought. You left through the secret exit in the East base, then headed to the address on the paper. Stealthily, of course. It was night time, it was dark outside, and you were dressed in all black. You wore a black sash around your head, hiding your identity. You blended in with the shadows. You sneaked around and got into the abandoned building. You hid behind a large, old pot. You looked around and didn't see anyone. Either you got there first, or Bright Destiny was really good at hiding. You waited there, then when nothing happened for a while, you quietly whispered,
"Bright Destiny?"
You suddenly could hear loud footsteps running towards the door. From outside. You peered out from behind the plant and saw a guy in bright C/F/C (A/N: If his favorite color is black or some other color that couldn't be bright, change it to something else) clothes run through the door, panting from exhaustion. You facepalmed. This was your partner? Seriously? Maybe he wasn't... And he just somehow happened to stumble in here at the same time as you. Yeah, that's definitely likely. You stepped out from behind the pot. You crept up behind the guy, then tapped his shoulder. He turned around.
"AHH! G-geez, don't scare me like that!" the guy exclaimed.
"Whatever. Who are you?" you asked, annoyed.
"Br-Bright D-D-Destiny..." he stuttered, staring at you with a slightly nervous look.
"Well then, bud, you're coming with me apparently. I'm Death Star," you told him. "But first, you seriously need to change out of... That..." you then added, pointing at his clothes.
"What? What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" he asked. You narrowed your eyes.
"Seriously...? We're spies... We not supposed to be noticed!" you hissed.
"Geez, fine, okay! I'll change into these dull black clothes then," he said reluctantly, then went into another room. You sighed in annoyance. You leaned against the wall, waiting for Bright Destiny. He soon came out of the room.
"Dang, you look good in black," you said.
"Ha, thanks, but I don't think that now's the time for flirting," he smirked.
"I was talking about myself," you said, looking at the mirror across the room.
"Ouch, girl. That hurts," he faked a pout. You slightly rolled your eyes.
"C'mon Bright Destiny, let's go," you said, then cartwheeled out the door.
"Pfft, showoff," he mumbled, then walked outside.
"I heard that!" you said back to him. "Anyway, so I was told that the building is to the left of this one."
"Um, I'm pretty sure it's the one to the right..." he told you.
"Uh, no. It's the one to the left," you said, pointing to the left building.
"The right," he spoke, pointing right.
"Left."
"Right."
"Left."
"Right."
"Left!"
"Right!"
"Left!"
"Right!!"
You had a good memory when it came to spy missions. You knew it was the building on the left.
"It's definitely the left. You wanna know how I know?" you asked, crossing your arms with some attitude.
"Oh really? Tell me," he said, shooting an unconvinced look at you.
"I'm positive it's to the left, because there's a giant sign that says 'Dark Headquarters' right there!" you exclaimed, pointing at the sign. He looked at where you were pointing.
"Oh... Um... I knew that..." he said quietly. You facepalmed, then sneaked off to the building. He shortly followed.
"We ought to sneak in from the roof," you told him, then pulled out your grapple gun. You shot it in the air and it hooked onto the edge of the roof. You went up the side of the building, then looked back down at Bright Destiny. "Oi, what's taking so long? Hurry up!"
"Um... I may or may not have left my grapple gun at West Unit..." he sheepishly admitted. You facepalmed.
"Are you kidding me...?"
"Well sorry!" he exclaimed. You sighed.
"Here, you better catch this or you're gonna pay for it," you said, throwing down your grapple gun. He barely caught it. He used it, then got to the roof.
"Look, there's a vent. One of us can go down there then get the files," Bright Destiny pointed out.
"Good idea, for once," you said.
"Hey!"
"I got the wire, go open the vent," you instructed him. He walked over to the vent and unscrewed the top of it. Both of you looked down. You both could see a bunch of laser beams crossing around the room.
"You know, I'm a huge techie! I'll fly this small drone down the vent, through the laser beams, then to the alarm control right there," he explained, pointing at the control box on the wall. "I'll have to attach a camera to it though so I can see the controls on the alarm system, but I'm sure I have one somewhere. Then I'll have to decode the system, turning off the lasers and other alarms."
"Or I could just do this," you said, pulling out a ninja star. You threw it down and, without hitting any lasers, it hit the alarm system. All of the lasers turned off.
"Whoa..." his eyes widened, trying to comprehend what you just did.
"And that's why they call me Death Star," you said, forming your hand into a gun shape, then blowing on it.
"Remind me not to get on your bad side..." he said nervously.
"Too late. You've already bugged me enough," you said, then grabbed the wire used to lower a person down. You attached it to the edges of the vent. You put on a harness, then attached the other end of the wire to the harness.
"Whatcha doing?" Bright Destiny asked.
"You're going to lower me down so that I can wipe the files and get them on this flash drive. Slowly! I'll give you a hand signal when you need to stop. And when I tug on the wire, you're going to bring me back up. If there's anything you need to tell me while I'm down there, tell me through this ear piece. Got it?" you explained. He nodded.
"Got it! I won't let you down!" he said brightly.
"Why do I feel like you're going to anyway?" you quietly muttered to yourself. You climbed into the vent. Bright Destiny then slowly lowered you into the room. You looked at the supercomputer. You held out your hand towards Bright Destiny once you were low enough. You then swung yourself to the computer, then inserted the flash drive into it.
"You alright?" Bright Destiny asked through your earpiece.
"Yes... I'm fine... Oh crap," you then said.
"What's wrong?"
"This computer is seriously protected. There's a bunch of passwords and such. I'm not sure I can decode these," you replied.
"Maybe you should've sent me down instead. I'm the techie here!" he replied.
"Oh shut up, you probably would've fallen somehow if you went down here!" you shot back, a little too loudly.
"Huh? Someone in there?" a gruff voice asked.
"Oh shoot... Dude! How do I decode this?!" you frantically asked.
"Here, catch this!" he said, then tossed down a small... Thing... His aim was way off and you almost couldn't catch it. You kicked it up in the air with your foot, then caught it in your hand.
"Work on your aim! I almost dropped... Whatever this thing is..." you scolded him.
"Well sorry! It's what I like to called a Hacker Bug. Place it in the USB slot," he told you. You removed the flash drive, then put in the Hacker Bug. You stared at the screen as a bunch of 1's and 0's filled the screen.
"This is weird... Yet it kinda cool," you said as the Hacker Bug did its thing.
"Ha, that's the computer language for you. Okay, should be done any second now," he replied. A few seconds later he said, "Okay, take out the Hacker Bug then place the flash drive back in." You did as he told you.
"HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" a voice shouted.
"Oh no..." you said. "C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! Can't this thing download any faster?" you muttered, watching as the bar slowly loaded. A bunch of members of Dark Headquarters started running towards you. They were several feet away from you when it finished downloading. "Yes!" you quietly said in victory. You quickly removed the flash drive, then wiped the hard drive.
"Did you get it?" Bright Destiny asked.
"Yep!" you replied. You then saw that the Leader was only a few feet away from you. You frantically tugged on the wire. "Up, up, up, up!!!" you quickly said. You kicked the Leader in the face to buy Bright Destiny a few seconds. You were raised up and were almost out of the vent. The mission was going to be a success!
But it suddenly went wrong.
"You're not getting away that easily East agent..." the Leader growled, then grabbed the ninja star you threw off of the alarm system. He threw it right above you.
He had cut the wire.
You only had a second to think. You did what you knew you had to do.
"CATCH!" you yelled, then threw the flash drive and Hacker Bug up as hard as you could. You knew that if Dark Headquarters had the Hacker Bug technology, it couldn't end well. Of course, the flash drive had to be thrown up as well. Bright Destiny leaned in, then barely caught both items.
"Death Star!!!" he exclaimed as he saw you hit the ground. You groaned in pain slightly.
"I'm fine... OI! LET GO OF ME!!!" you then shouted as two members of Dark Headquarters grabbed you. "RUN BRIGHT DESTINY!"
"Trying to steal our files, eh?" the Leader asked as he walked closer to you.
"You were going to destroy humanity with those!" you exclaimed.
"Alright now, give back the files, and no one gets hurt," he said.
"You just made me fall two stories from the ground! The ground's not exactly made out of pillows and marshmallows you know!" you said angrily.
"Let me try this again..." he said, then grabbed your neck. "Where... Are... The... Files..."
"I... I don't... Have them... You idiot..." you barely said. He let go in frustration, then walked away from you. "It's useless keeping me here. My partner's already back at base by now. You guys are all done for."
"RAWGH!!!" the Leader shouted in anger, then threw the ninja star that was on the floor at you. You quickly kicked up your legs, using the metal part of your shoe to deflect the ninja star.
"You're gonna have to try a lot harder than that..."
"Why you littl-" he started to say, but was suddenly kicked in the head.
"Bright Destiny? I thought you went to the East base!" you said when you saw who kicked the Leader.
"Well, I couldn't just leave you here, could I?" he replied.
"But where's the flash drive?" you asked.
"Right here!" he replied, holding up the flash drive. It was then snatched out of his hand. The Leader snickered as he tossed it in the air and caught it again.
"Are you kidding me right now?!" you exclaimed. Did he seriously just do that?! You were extremely frustrated and angry. So much, that you swung your legs up and managed to kick the two members of Dark Headquarters that were holding you back in the face, knocking them out cold. You were then free. You then started beating the heck out of these guys. Bright Destiny shortly joined in afterwards. The two of you fought them off until they were all either knocked out or too scared to fight. You then noticed the Leader trying to escape with the files.
"Where do you think you're going?" you asked, throwing a ninja star and pinning his sleeve to the wall. You threw a few more, pinning the rest of his clothes to the wall. You then threw another one, which hit the wall, not even an inch away from the Leader's face.
"I'll be taking that back," Bright Destiny then said as he walked over to him and grabbed the flash drive.
"You try to hurt us again, that last ninja star is gonna be right here," you said, poking right in between the Leader's eyes.
"Don't just stand there!" the Leader shouted at the remaining few. "Get them!" The few started to charge towards you two.
"You might wanna hold on," Bright Destiny said to you as he wrapped an arm around your waist. You grabbed onto him, then he shot your grapple gun into the air. The two of you watched as the men below ran into each other.
"I'll get you darn spies next time!!! You'll see!!!" the Leader shouted. You and Bright Destiny laughed. The two of you then climbed out of the vent.
"You know Bright Destiny, you aren't so bad," you told him, smiling.
"Wow, really? Th-thanks," he said. You noticed him blushing a bit.
"Ha, no problem. Let's get back to East Unit," you replied.
Time skip to when you and Bright Destiny get back to East Unit...
"Sir, we've retrieved the files and wiped the hard drive," you said to the boss as you handed him the flash drive.
"Good work Death Star and Bright Destiny," the boss of East Unit said.
"Yes, very good job you two," the boss of West Unit said afterwards.
"We have decided that both of you are ready to move into one of the more difficult units," the East boss said.
"North or South?" you then asked. Just like how there's the two elite units and the two junior units, one unit in each of the two is a higher rank than the other. East was higher than west, and North was higher than South.
"We have decided to place both of you into the North Unit. You two truly have potential, and are definitely capable of protecting yourselves," the West boss answered.
"Whoa, really?!" Bright Destiny exclaimed. The West boss nodded.
"This is so awesome!" you exclaimed as well. The boss of the North Unit then came into the room.
"Hello Death Star and Bright Destiny," the North boss said.
"Hello sir," the two of you said simultaneously.
"So, these are my two newest agents? Wonderful," he answered. "I've heard plenty about you, Death Star."
"What about me? Sir?" Bright Destiny asked.
"Oh, yes. I've heard plenty about you too. Try not to cause too much trouble, okay?" he replied.
"Heh, yes sir!"
"So, shall we go to North Unit?" the North boss asked. The two of you nodded eagerly. You began to walk out with the North boss and Bright Destiny, when you suddenly turned around and looked at the East boss.
"Thank you, sir."
"What are you thanking me for?" the East boss asked you.
"For everything. For training me, for believing in me, for placing me in North Unit," you told him. He smiled.
"You're welcome. Don't forget to visit now, okay?" he asked.
"I won't forget," you replied, then walked out.
The TARDIS shall now take you to your next destination! Ten minutes into the future and at North Unit...
"Death Star, Bright Destiny, welcome to North Unit," your new boss said. You gasped at the sight of North Unit.
"It's even more amazing than I imagined!" you exclaimed.
"Wow... This is fantastic!" Bright Destiny exclaimed.
"Are you two alright with becoming partners for the North Unit?" the boss asked. The two of you looked at each other, then nodded. Sure, Bright Destiny could be a pain at times, but you'd grown to like him.
"Yes sir," you both said.
"Good. Alright, whenever a new spy comes to North Unit, we let them and their spy partner get to know each other a bit better. I'll leave you two while you learn more about each other. And yes, that does include your actual name," the boss explained, then walked away.
"Well then, how about we go sit over there?" you suggested. Bright Destiny agreed, then you two walked over and sat down.
"So, how about you ask me a question first? What do you want to know about me?" Bright Destiny asked.
"Alright. Well, you know why I'm called Death Star. So I'm curious. Why're you called Bright Destiny?" you asked. He smiled.
"Well, I was born with this sort of, 'gift,' you see. Whenever I meet someone and get to know them better and see what they do and how they act, I can get a good idea on what their future will be like. What their destiny will be. I can often see it quite clearly, their path is brightened for me to see. Hence the spy name, Bright Destiny," he explained.
"Wow... That's deep. I wasn't expecting that," you said.
"Ha, most spies don't expect that from me," he chuckled. "You wanna know what I saw in you?"
"Sure, why not? What destiny did you see in me?" you asked.
"I saw an amazing person. I saw you joining North Unit. I saw you being able to accept me for who I was, even if you didn't want to at first. Many people think that I can't be a good spy, and I didn't think that I could be either. But when I looked at you..." he started to explain. He looked into your eyes. "I could see hope. I was able to see potential in myself when I saw you. I saw you as a leader, a mentor, a partner."
"Bright Destiny..." you said, astonished. "You really saw that in me?"
"Of course," he replied. You smiled, then you hugged him, catching him off guard. He then hugged you back. When the two of you let go, he then asked, "So... What's your actual name?"
"Y/N," you answered. "Y/N L/N."
"I like that name. Mine's C/N C/L/N," he replied.
"Your name's nice too," you said.
The two of you continued to get to know each other better. Then the two of you were partners for the many years to come.
The two of you together, it was your bright destiny...
