The two laid together, Mike's arms wrapped around Scarlett's waist. Both were still naked underneath the sheets and Scarlett cuddled up to her boyfriend's chest.

He smiled down at her. "I love you, y'know?"

She returned his smile and kissed his collarbone. "I love you too," she said sweetly. She meant every word.

Unfortunately, the bliss couldn't last for long. Mike's parents would be home soon so the two got up and Scarlett got ready to leave.

"Will I see you this weekend?" she asked.

"How about a date at the roller rink on Saturday?" Mike suggested.

Scarlett smiled again. "I'd like that."

They kissed one last time before she left. Mike went back to his room, his attention landing on his schoolbag.

He had an essay to read.
