"You look so grown up now, Lenny!" Susannah says as she comes up to me. She placed her hands on my cheeks and kissed my forehead, "Eh, I don't think I changed that much."

I took a bite of a strawberry and smiled at Susannah. "You definitely did." Laurel said as she entered the kitchen, she looked at my shirt, that was now see through then she laughed.

"Laurel!" My mom yelled, throwing a hand towel at her. They all laughed whilst I looked at my shirt, "Oh my God, I didn't even notice!" I laughed, covering my face from embarrassment.

"What even happened?" My mom asked, still laughing as she hand me a towel. "Conrad threw me in the pool, tradition things." I said, rolling my eyes as a joke.

Susannah smiled when I mentioned him, she always does. I don't know why, though. "So...any boys?" She asked. I look up from the strawberries and chuckled awkwardly, "Uhh, no...not really, all the guy from my town are horrible."

"Good, 'cus I'm still rooting for you and Conrad." She chuckled, looking at Laurel and my mom as she was saying it. I lightly blushed as I tucked a hair behind my ear, "He doesn't like me that way and neither do i so...sorry about that."

"Yeah...maybe this summer will change." She simply says, smiling at me before walking away.

Maybe this summer will change.... hopefully.

"Anyway," My mom says. I look at her, "Are you going to the bonfire tonight?" She asked. I tilt my head at her, "I don't think I will, not really in the mood for it." I said, eating another strawberry.

She looks at me before putting her hands on her waist, "Really? But all the boys are going to it tonight." I rolled my eyes at the mention of them.

"Who cares, they're probably just going so they can make out with some girl." She stares at me with a strange look that I can't read. "Besides, Belly is always left out in these things, maybe I'll hang out with her or something, I don't know."

"It's a good thing you're hanging out with Belly more." Laurel says from behind me. I turn to her and ask, "Why's that?"

"It's nice seeing you girls together." She simply says, looking at my mom for a second.

I simply smile at her and said quietly, "Yeah."

    WHEN I FINALLY went up to my room, or basically the room I've been staying in since was a baby. I threw myself onto the bed, I stared at the ceiling and smiled.

"What're you smiling at?" I hear Jacob ask, I quickly turn around to see him leaning on the door frame. I immediately grab the pillow next to me and throw it directly at him, yelling, "Jacob! Get out!"

Jacob moves away just in time making me miss the throw. I stand up, angrily in front of him, "Do you not know what privacy means, Jacob?"

"Uhh, of course I do. I'm a gentleman."

I shake my head and laugh, "Gentleman my ass, respect my privacy and leave me alone!" I said, not letting him say anything else as I shut the door in front of him.

I go back to my bed and grab my phone, scrolling to my Instagram I see a post of my best friend, Rebeca. She is the prettiest girl and the nicest but bitchiest person, only I can say that thought.

I go into our dm's so I can talk to her.

i smile at my text with Beca and lay down on my bed once again. I hear a knock on the door and i roll my eyes.

"Jacob, leave me alone!" I yell, going back to my phone. I hear the knock for a second time and I groan in annoyance, "For god's sake." I whispered at myself.

I stood up from the bed and walk to the door, when I open it, I see Belly and Jeremiah standing outside of the room with smiles on their faces, "What do you want." I asked.

"We we're wondering if you wanted to go to the beach with us." Jeremiah asked, looking at Belly who was smiling at me. "Would you guys be mad if I said no?"

I scrunch up my nose, both Jeremiah and Belly frown, "Very mad." Jeremiah stated. I look at hind tilting my head then saying, "Too bad, I'm on my period." I said, closing the door before I could get a response from them.

"Lennon!! We're going to Whale of a Tale, wanna come?" My mom yelled from downstairs, I look back at the door once again. I opened it to respond, "Can't Jacob go with you? I think I'm going for a swim!" Right after I said it, Belly and Jeremiah's heads pop out of Belly's room, looking at me with a betrayal look and their mouths open wide.

"You said you were on your period!" They both said. I pursed my lips looking away awkwardly, "I lied?" I shrugged my shoulders and closed the door.

What I didn't notice was that Conrad was looking at me from his room, not in a creepy way, by the way.
