Opening Remarks: (written 2010)

It truly has been a very tempting year to synthesize all the insights I've learned from a new environment. Although this is purely declared as a work of Fiction, keep in mind that Fiction is based on real-life events—which makes anything you read actually plausible if you just put your heart in it.

Like any book that focuses on college life with bits of humor, lust and romance embellishments, stereotypical characters are never absent. At first, Anthony, Felice, Justin, and the other college students may seem stereotypical as well. As the story proceeds; however, the reader will find himself or herself quite relative to the characters. This is probably the biggest reason why I have decided to create this novel.

Freshmen students haven't got a clue on what to expect in the novelty of college life. As perceived, they might think that college students have graduated high school with maturity tightly tucked in their back pockets. However, this is not usually the case. It has gone for far too long, and someone has to take the lead into showing younger readers how high school students have not automatically grown mentally and emotionally as they step out of graduation. Hopefully, the newly graduates take part in the change and in the abolishment of stereotypes. After all, college is not only about higher learning in academics, it is also about higher learning in one's self as well.
