Extra!
Hey!
The story has ended, but I forgot to add the first date scene...
So I'm writing it now! Because I really love the idea of this and I hope you do too!
I really hope you all enjoyed this book; it's my longest book and I know it's not perfect but I still put a lot of work and time into it and did my best. Please let me know what you think!
Aurora opens the door to her flat, her steps sluggish and slow. She's had a very long and tiring day with all her classes and exams piling up on her and taking every bit of energy she had.
With a sigh of relief, she tosses her bag in her room before she takes a quick cold shower to clean off all the sweat clinging on to her fair skin.
She comes out of her bathroom, choosing to wear a dragon onesie before she plops on her bed face down. She mentally freaks out for a second, thinking that she was wearing her glasses but relaxed when she remembered she took them off before the shower.
She snuggles under her fluffy duvet and grabs her fuzzy blue teddy bear; the one that she got as a baby.
And the tiredness finally takes over, closing her eyes as she drifts off to a deep sleep.
Two hours pass when Chris walks into his girlfriend's flat using the spare key she gave him not so long ago. Noticing the silence, he walks slowly to Aurora's room, seeing her sound asleep and cuddling her teddy bear.
He admires her peaceful state for a while. He takes a picture as well and sends it to her sisters. Walking up to her, he crouches down, removing her damp hair from her face as he gently strokes her cheek. He moves his hand to shake her slightly to wake her up.
"Wake up, princess." He kisses her forehead.
Her eyes flutter open, seeing Chris in front of her, looking at her with a soft smile. She hums in response as he pecks her lips quickly.
"Come on, I planned our first official date!" Chris exclaims excitedly.
Aurora groans, turning her head away and planting it in her pillow.
"I -on't wan- -to." She says, her words barely understandable as it was muffled by the fabric.
Chris rolls his eyes, not fazed by her actions. He takes the blanket and pulls it off of her.
"No~" She whines, lifting her head now. "Put it back!"
"Sorry, princess." He chuckles.
With a hopeless huff, Aurora plops back down and closes her eyes, trying to go back to sleep. Chris raises an eyebrow at her before rolling his eyes once again.
"I guess you leave me no choice..." He trails off cheekily.
Aurora opens an eye, narrowing it at Chris. "What are you planning, Irwin?"
"This." He says before he attacks her sides with tickles as she bursts into laughter and squirms around, trying to stop him.
Eventually, Chris gives up, seeing that it did no help to his case. So he picked her up and put her over his shoulder and walked out of her room, ignoring her protests and hits. He walks to the front door, grabbing his keys and putting them in his pocket before grabbing a pair of Aurora's shoes and getting out of the flat, locking it before he goes to his car.
Once down, he unlocks his car and puts Aurora in the passenger seat, giving her her pair of black converse to wear.
She pulls out her tongue at him before putting on her shoes and trying them up as Chris gets in the driver's seat and starts the engine.
"Gotcha." He winks at her.
"Yeah yeah, whatever." She rolls her eyes with a smile. "Where are we going anyway?"
"That's for me to know, and for you to find out." He says, pulling out of the driveway and into the street.
"Oh so you just casually interrupt my much needed nap, torture me with tickling, then kidnap me, and you don't even tell me where we're going? I see how it is, Irwin." She crosses her arms, looking out the window.
They finally arrive at their destination, and it's a beautiful garden with a small lake in the middle of the abundance of trees and flowers. Aurora stares in awe at the view, not noticing Chris setting up a picnic for the two of them.
"This is beautiful..." She breathes out.
"Meh." Chris shrugs. "I've seen better."
"I highly doubt that. Unless you're talking about Avelyn then yes." She smirks.
"I've seen better than Avelyn." Chris states.
"How dare you!" She slaps his arm lightly, faking offence.
"I see you everyday." He looks deeply into her eyes. "The beauty is incomparable."
Aurora blushes and smiles. "Thanks. But you should really check an eye doctor because clearly Avelyn is way more beautiful."
"Goddammit, Rora!" Chris laughs. "Do you have to ruin all our moments?"
"You know I hate chick flicks." She grins and Chris shakes his head at her.
They spend the rest of the day falling more in love as they talk about everything and anything. At the end of the day, when the stars were shining brightly in the sky, Chris pulls out a frame, looking at it before giving it to Aurora.
"I made this for you." He says shyly, giving her the frame.
It's a frame of pebble art. The pebbles were organized to look like a heart shaped tree, and two people kissing under it. It also said I love you on the corner of it.
Aurora smiles softly, admiring how beautiful the piece is.
"Chris, It's amazing..." She grins, looking up at him in admiration. "I love it! I love you."
"I love you too." He smiles. "I couldn't decide what pebble to give you, so I gave you all the ones I found."
"This would've been ten times better if you were in a penguin onesie."
"Dammit!" He face palms. "Missed opportunity."
"Don't worry, I'll get you in one soon." She laughs and kisses his cheek.
This is what Chris gives to Aurora.
This is what Aurora is wearing:
Also, I can totally see Aurora making this for her daughter:
I went along with the penguin theme because I think it's really cute and pure and unique. It's kinda their thing now.
Lmao Imagine one day this being a popular reference. Who knows, maybe this book will blow up one day.
Until then, I really hope you guys liked my story as much as I did writing it.
Goodbye <3
