I pace the room as the doctor works to heal my Alli. I was stupid. I had been destracted by how beautiful she was at her coronation and they sliped past me. Her attackers sliped past and hurt her, she could have been killed.
"Damn it Sky, will you stop pacing?" Mika practically yelled at me.
"Shut up!" I yelled back, turning to glare at him.
"Look, just because you're her boyfriend doesn't mean that you are the only one worried about her." Mia said soothingly.
I stoped infront of her seething.
But she was right.
It was my fault that she was in that room bleeding and the damned doctor wouldn't let me in to be near her.
"I'm sorry, its just I didn't protect her. I was supposed to protect her." I turned around and punched the wall, leaving a hole in it.
"Look, we all failed to protect her. We are her friends and we failed." Max said, standing up and grabbing me, making me sit.
"Right now we all need to relax and wait, stay here for when she wakes up." He adds, sitting beside me.
"I know man, I just... I feel helpless. I love her so much and... just loosing her..."
"I get it man, just relax and calm down, you're no help to her like this." I just nodd my head and sigh, holding my head in my hands.
I wanted to cry. I wanted to kill everyone who had hurt my Alli Cat.
Hours must have past because by the time the door finally opened and the doctor came out, only me and Lia were still awake.
"How is she?" I shoot up from the chair and rush to stand infront of the man, trying to look inside the room.
"She is weak and the way the knife landed in her cut through the bone." The doctor started, his face filled with exhaustion.
"The good news is that surgery went well, she just needs to rest and heal now." I nodded and thanked the man, not hearing anything else he says as he left and I rushed to Alli's bed side.
She was so pale.
Her body was cusioned by pillows and blankets to help keep her comfortable, her arm had an i.v. placed in it while blood and medicine slowly dripped into her system.
I sank to my knees beside her, taking her hand gently.
"I'm so sorry Alli." I whisper, tears falling down my face.
I hated how helpless I felt right now with her laying there.
After some time of just sitting there I sigh and carefully lay down beside her on the massive bed, kissing her forehead gently.
"I'll do better to protect you." I wisper, moving a strand of hair from her face.
That night was the hardest night of my life as I watched Alli breathe, barely sleeping myself as I dozed off every now and again.

"Ah...ow ow ow ow!" The bed underneath me moves and the sound of some one wincing woke me up, my eyes landing on Alli as she attepts to sit up.
"Alli Cat you should be resting!" I say, bolting up right and helping her.
"I know Sky, but i -ow- it was just too painful laying down." She says weakly as I arrange the pilows around her.
"Is this better?" I ask as she sighs and nodds, trying to hide a yawn.
"Go to sleep love, I'll be here when you wake up." I tell her gently, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
"But...I'm... not...sweepeh" she protests, yawning between words until her eyes finally close and she goes back to sleep, her face a peaceful mask.
"Guess the drugs are working." I whisper with a chuckle, kissing her cheek gently before laying back down beside her, making sure I was close enough to protect her, but far enough that I don't accidentally hurt her.
"Hey how is our girl?" Aleck asks as he steps into the room with two cups of coffee, handing me one.
"Better, she finally got comfortable and fell asleep again." I answer, sitting up and taking the hot cup and holding it to my mouth as I take a few needed gulps.
"Well Max is interrogating the people who attacked her so if you want, I can take over and watch her." My friend states, sitting on the chair beside the bed.
"No thanks, I need to be here for her."
"Kay man, just take it easy. You know we are here to help."
"I know, thanks Aleck."
We talk about new security meassures and other ways we could protect Alli, our Queen. She needed all of us now more then ever and I promised that I would do so much better to keep her safe.
Finally Aleck left and I settled in beside my beautiful girlfriend, my eyes always watching her.
"I love you." I whisper, taking her hand gently and kissing the back of it.
