Prologue

Sitting on the church pews watching the newly crowned King of the Crorus Kingdom stand and turn to face the crowd, the little Princess clings to her maid and watches with fascination as the stones of the King's crown glitter in the light.

"One day, you will be crowned Queen, Allisara, and we will watch it all happen." The Maid Rainnah states as she turns to look down at her little ward. The Princess smiles, her eyes closing as she thinks about what her coronation day will look like.

"Presenting his Majesty, King Juden Trilavantas!" Eyes snapping open, the Princess finds herself on her knees, hands shackled behind her back. She stares at the man that took her parents and Rainnah from her. The man that destroyed Nimairene for the fourteen years he took charge. She was just at the coronation for King Selias of the Crorus Kingdom, so how did it become Juden being crowned King?

"I told you Allisara, the Throne belongs to me." Juden sneers from the freshly polished throne, his blue eyes filled with distain for the Princess.

"Say hello to your parents for me." With those words, an executioner steps forward with an axe in hand. Two men grab the Princess and drag her to an executioner stone. She struggles, calling out for her boyfriend knowing he would save her, but dread fills her heart. Her head is placed onto the stone, one of the men clutching her hair and keeping her in place. She watches as the executioner raises the axe, the light gleaming on its sharp blade. With a great swing, she closes her eyes.

"Sky!" Gasping awake the Princess finds herself shaking, screaming out her boyfriend's name. Tears fall from her eyes and down her cheeks. Strong arms grab her, causing the Princess to fight her attacker until a familiar voice calls out.

"Allisara! Allisara it's me, Sky." She stops fighting as her boyfriend's voice reaches her, letting him pull her closer and wipe the tears away.

"It was a dream, you're safe my love." He continues to coo, feeling the Princess wrap her arms around him. The dream felt all to real, that at any moment she would die at Juden's hands. Her tears finally stop and with the help of Sky, Allisara calms down.

"I am scared for tomorrow." She mumbles against his chest, Sky sighing as he pulls away gently to look into his girlfriend's eyes.

"Nothing will happen.You will be crowned Queen and the manhunt for that bastard will continue likeit has for the last few months." Sky reassures her. The Princess nods, scootingcloser to Sky and closing her eyes. Tomorrow she will be crowned Queen. It willbe a joyous day for Nimairene and one she knows will help secure her Kingdom'sfuture. She just hopes she isn't crowned before a rebellion as the people needsstability now more than ever.
