Triple update??? Fr guys spam the comments (but don't be rude)

WARNING (cuz yall can't read lmao): Spells will be the same as Noelle's. They are the same bloodline AND have the same magic, with a variance of course. Pace will also be quick because I want to get to the good stuff and not the boring stuff. Don't like it? Don't comment, drop the book. Don't ruin my day. I'm taking time out of my life to write this and I don't need some NPC commenting on the lack of 'originality'.

Reader POV

I could feel it before we landed.

"Mimosa, make as many plant traps as you can."

She nodded, all of us getting serious. "Yes, ma'am!"

"Klaus-"

"I know." He created a legion of steel warriors, frowning. "(y/n). You be careful, ok?"

"I will." I searched the area for a source of water, eager to try a new water spell that I read somewhere. "Klaus, you're the team leader. What should we do?"

He assessed the area and then looked at us. "You can pair either with Yuno or I."

"Both. Mimosa, you're one of the coolest healers. We'll protect you."

"Hey! Did you forget we existed?" I turned my head and saw my cousin Noelle with her squadmates, a guy who I assumed was Asta and Luck Voltia. "Long time no see, (y/n). I'm happy you're here."

"To you as well." I gave her a hug. "You look well."

"Thank you." Her face grew serious when she saw Mimosa. "Mimosa."

"Noelle."

I stared awkwardly as my two cousins kept talking shit to each other, Mimosa being offensively polite and Noelle not taking it.

"Hey, can we get started?" I heard Luck say with boredom. "You guys are really boring. When can I fight someone?"

"Did someone say fight?"

My head snapped in the direction of four people bearing diamonds on their foreheads.

I could already tell they were strong, but so were we.

"(y/n)!"

I felt a huge surge of magical power being launched at me but I smiled.

"Water Creation Magic: Water Gate." I used the water nearby to create a barrier, the spell being stopped quickly. "Quick! Get behind the water!"

Noelle came beside me and I nodded to her. "Wow...you've gotten more powerful since I last saw you."

"So have you. Help me with this, won't you?"

Noelle looked scared but I put my hand on her shoulder. "(y/n)..."

"I know you can do it, Noe. You just have to trust yourself. You've got the power and concentration."

Noelle took a deep breath and I held her hand as she cast the spell. "Water Creation Magic: Water Gate!"

The gate the girl produced was a bit weaker, but it was still there.

"Good! Now let's combine our magic."

"Are you sure? I'm no good."

I smacked her shoulder. "You're plenty fine."

She and I combined our magic and created a huge watergate as the enemy kept throwing spells at us.

"Well, we can't have you doing all the work." Klaus and Yuno let out their own spells.

I didn't know what happened next but there was a huge surge of magic coming from the guy we knocked out earlier.

"Oh shit." I made a trident out of the water, frowning. "Are you kidding me? Don't you know the rules? If someone knocks you down, you stay down."

The man simply chuckled. "Ah, spirit. Reminds me very much of someone I knew long ago."

"Aye, the man is talking about Fana," the other Diamond guy said with a smile.

"I don't care," I said with a smile as I watched Asta get serious. "You'd better worry now. I don't like being compared to others. I don't care who they are."

Attack after the attack occurred but I smelled blood in the middle of a fight.

"Yuno!" Mimosa rushed to his side and my eyes widened when Yuno pointed to me.

"Use your damn magic, (y/n)! He's using a fire enhancement to heal himself!"

I looked at Noelle who was fighting someone else, Klaus about to rush to my aid, and Asta engaging in battle alongside Luck Voltia.

God damn you, Yuno! I hate you but...

"It's my duty to protect you as my comrade," I spat. "Like Hell I won't help you."

My grimoire glowed and I looked over at Noelle who was clearly struggling, despair forming everywhere.

"YES! Despair, you pathetic people!" The mage from the Diamond Kingdom cheered.

I closed my eyes. "I've trained hard with these people. I might hate a few of them, but I'll never stop fighting. You may think you've gotten the upper hand, prick."

I knew all that training would do me well. It's time I push aside my hatred for you, Yuno. You need help and so do the others.

"Water Creation Magic: Valkrie Dress!" I summoned up the magic, watching it transform my outfit into armor. (CUZ YALL SUCK, read the damn warning at the top of every damn chapter thus far. I understand "oH it'S noT oRigiNal", but stfu. They're the same bloodline and obviously, I'm not stealing spells, I'm lowkey kinda lazy and when I was first writing this chapter in January of 2023, I didn't plan for MC to have certain aspects that will be revealed in later chapters. It's not that hard to just exit the damn story if you don't like something lmao. Go write your own fanfic. I meant MC to be someone for Noelle to look up to in terms of magic and to catapult her to protect her siblings during the elf arc)

"Whoa..." Noelle paused for a moment, staring at me with awe.

I pointed to her, sending a magic beam of water her way to help her. "Watch me, Noelle. Watch me long and hard. Someday you too will have this magic." I leaped off a rock and dodged attacks sent by the Diamond mages while Klaus defended Yuno and Mimosa.

Once Yuno was all healed up, he and I fought together against the enemy, confident that the Black Bulls would fare on their own.

The battle ended with Yuno finding a scroll and the Diamond Mages on the run, Asta shouting at them and Luck whining that he couldn't fight them to the death.

I drew the magic back in, finding everything going hazy. "Shit...I'm...tired?"

Klaus noticed I was falling but it was Yuno who caught me.

"Rest," he said. "You've done a lot today."

I nodded and allowed him to carry me onto Klaus' chariot, Noelle looking at me with awe but worry.

"I had no idea that our magic could do that," she whispered as she held my hand.

"Neither did I." I squeezed her hand. "You're getting strong, Noelle."

She rested her head on my shoulder, sitting down next to me. Yuno nodded to me and went back to watching the horizon with Klaus who was saying something quietly to him.

I closed my eyes knowing I was fine and that Mimosa was using her magic to heal everyone.

The wizard king found us all at Dr. Owen's hospital room, frowning.

"No one was severely hurt, I hope?"

"Mimosa's magic works wonders," Dr. Owen said with a nod to the cheery royal who nodded.

I sat up in my bed, looking at Yuno who was holding a scroll.

"I found this in the dungeon," he said as he handed the scroll to the wizard king.

Lord Julius looked from him to the scroll and back at him a few times. "You found this?"

"Yeah."

"Hm...I should confiscate it, but it seems harmless. You can keep it." Lord Julius gave the scroll back, giving him a smile. "I expect good results, though."

We all saluted him and soon the Black Bulls went on their own way, Noelle promising me that she would come back soon to check on me.

Klaus and Yuno helped me back to the base where the others were eager to hear about our first joint-squad mission.

"You dumbass!" Langris scoffed. "You hurt yourself!"

I gave him a flick on his forehead. "Don't worry, I won't die."

"You'd better not!"

"Always a worrisome wart, that's the issue with you."

The vice-captain shrugged. "Of course. You're too reckless."

"You know we're her teammates?" Yuno challenged him. "We can take care of our own."

Langris shot him a dirty look and left, taking some others with him.

"So, are we going to all have dinner together?" Mimosa asked.

I shook my head. "I feel really tired today. I think I'm going to sleep."

"I'll help you up there," Yuno said, leaving no room for debate.

"Fine."

Klaus gave me a strange look but nodded. "Very well. You two rest up. You and I, Mimosa?"

"I'm afraid I promised my brother I'd eat with him."

Klaus sighed and shrugged. "Okay then. I guess it's me and me."

I reached out and patted his shoulder. "Maybe tomorrow. I'm just really tired."

"Which is why you're going to sleep now." Yuno didn't wait for everyone to say goodnight, hoisting me on his back. "Jeez. You eat a lot but you're pretty light."

I rested my head on his shoulder. "Whatever, peabrain. I'm tired."

"I can see that." Yuno turned his head, chuckling faintly. "Otherwise you'd be yelling at me to put you down."

"Shut up."

"Okay."

He carried me up multiple flights of stairs, me confused as to why he wasn't using his magic to make the trip quicker. I quickly dismissed it since he was also probably tired. "We're here."

I made the key using my magic. "Well, then open the door and throw me on my bed. I'm tired."

"Yes ma'am." Yuno carefully used the key, careful not to drop me. He gently placed me on my bed and I snuggled into my covers. "Stupid. You shouldn't use your magic so much."

"You can shut up and leave." I threw a blanket over me. "So unless you're using the spare bed to sleep, go away."

Yuno sighed and turned off the lights. "Very well. Goodnight, (y/n)."

I didn't respond, too busy admiring the fluffiness of my pillow.

The door shut quietly and I heard Yuno talking with Klaus outside my room.

I didn't bother listening in, too tired.
