[30] Decision

Double update hehehe

Just a reminder this isn't a fluff book. Yuno is intentionally toxic.

🚨🚨HEAVY DETAILS OF SA. I AM NOT ROMANTICIZING THIS IN ANY WAY🚨🚨

No One's POV

The day of the wedding came sooner than everyone could've imagined. Princess Lolopechka went down the spiral staircase and saw the wedding staff moving to and fro, all in a seemingly harmonious beat.

Back at the Clover Kingdom's Golden Dawn Headquarters, Klaus and Mimosa both cheered to the soon-to-be-wedded couple.

"I'm happy for her," Letoile said as she entered the room with mimosas as it was a joke within the kingdom that Mimosa would often devour mimosa after mimosa. "She deserves the happiness that comes with marriage."

Klaus held his wife's hand, smiling fondly at her. "Indeed. I've known her all my life, she is going to make a wonderful queen of the Spade kingdom."

Dawn, who was passing her superior's office, smiled at the thought of her friend and former vice-captain wedding the man she loved. The water-mage knew that if she did not interrupt soon, the Golden Dawn would be late to the wedding as it was to take place soon, though they were going to use spacial magic to get there.

Nozel Silva quickly ushered his siblings to present themselves in their finest, head to toe in gems that would display their wealth and power, but would not take away attention from the bride. Noelle helped her older sister Nebra style her hair in a more modern fashion, one that the sisters both agreed on. As for Solid, he was too busy looking at himself in the mirror to pay mind to anything else, too concerned he looked poor.

As for the bride herself, she was just beginning to wake up.

Reader POV

A gentle knock on the door followed by my father's voice alerted me that the day had arrived.

"Good morning my little raindrop," Julius sat down on the bed, a smile on his face as the morning sun reflected throughout the room.

I looked at him with a tired smile. "Good morning, Julius."

He put a hand on my cheek affectionately, kissing my forehead. "Today is the big day, hm? Best you get out of bed and ready."

I nodded and heard the door open to see my bridesmaids as well as wedding team enter the room, Queen Ciel holding a crown.

"Good morning my dear." The queen gently set the crown down on a desk, using the utmost care to do so. "I was saving this for you to wear when you married. This is the crown that every single queen of Spade has worn on her wedding day, it is a tradition passed down since the founding of our kingdom."

The team spent the morning preparing me, Noelle insisting that I ate something otherwise I'd starve.

I gave her a smile, happy I chose her to be my maid of honor. "Thank you, Noe. What would I do without you?"

"Of course! No need to thank me, I'm royalty!" She looked flustered at the praise but did not complain.

"How does it feel, (y/n)?" Ciel asked me kindly. "This morning you woke up as the fiancé of the crown prince. Tonight you will dine as Queen of the Spade Kingdom."

I shrugged. "I don't know, to be honest. I never pictured I would someday rule. I knew I was born to lead and to charter new paths, but not like this."

Julius gave my shoulder a squeeze. "Understandable. You will do us all proud. I only wish everyone was there to see it."

I smiled, knowing who he was talking about. "You know she is watching."

Our moment was interrupted by the royal guard, telling us the carriage was ready.

Julius and I looked at each other, hugging. "You can do it. I know you can. Besides, you look gorgeous."

I knew he was right, but I still couldn't help but feel a bit chilly.

Julius and I piled into the carriage, waving to the curious citizens who came to catch a glimpse of me.

I arrived at the cathedral last (sorry if this will not go with your religion/beliefs), marveling at the splendor the place offered. I caught a glimpse of the wedding hall itself, seeing how I would be walking on water to symbolize my birthright to the sea as well as to symbolize the flow of life.

Not my photo :)

Julius and I waited for the cue and I looked at the water.

Could I really do this? I know I don't want to marry him, but I don't want to embarrass my father too much.

But I knew I had to do it. As the music came on for the wedding march, I saw Yuno dressed in his best and knew it would be a relishing moment the moment I made my decision.

"(y/n) Novachrono-Silva, do you take this man in holy matrimony and accept your role as his wife and queen of the Spade kingdom?"

Oh, this will feel good.

I waited a few moments, looking down, then saying it.

"No."

Gasps were heard and I felt Yuno's grip on my hands tighten painfully, his eyes lit with fury.

"I'm sorry, did you say the wrong thing by accident?" Yuno asked me with venom in his voice.

"Yes," Ciel said with a bite, casting daggers at my father who stared at me with shock. "Do speak up."

"I said no. I am not marrying him." I tried to release my grip but Yuno squeezed tighter. "Ow! Let me go!"

"(y/n). We are going to chat." He dragged me to the garden behind the chapel area where our marriage certificates lay as we were supposed to sign it after saying our vows. The door slammed behind him and I didn't hear anything but the trickling water from the nearby fountain.

Yuno sat me down and sat next to me, grabbing my arm as I tried to get up. "Don't even bother trying to use your magic. Mother thought you'd do something like this. The earrings you're wearing are anti-magic. Don't bother trying to get rid of them either. Only those with the Grinberryal blood can remove them."

"You bastard-"

"Shut up. Shut UP!" His grip on my arm tightened. "How dare you embarrass me in front of everyone?! Your subordinates. Your family. Your friends."

I reached up and slapped his face, fuming with anger. "I never asked to marry you, you and our parents just decided it. Then you made it worse by lying and manipulating me. I'm sure that whole cafe thing and that whole exchanging letters was also fake."

"I don't have to explain anything to you, woman." He grabbed my shoulder and dragged me down, me wincing at the pain. "Here's how this is working. You will go back to that alter and say you were nervous and said the wrong thing."

"Why would I ever do that??"

"Simple." Yuno smirked. "Leopold asked to be on the Royal Guard and is handing responsibility of the Crimson Lion Kings to someone else. He will be promoted to captain given he is already a magic knights captain. I could easily send him on dangerous missions. Missions where he might not come back from."

"You wouldn't!"

"Oh, but I would. Would you really risk your best friend's life?" Yuno shrugged. "I've always found him annoying anyway. If he dies, one less problem."

"Why, are you jealous?" I spat at him. "Mad that I actually care about him?"

"You only care about yourself and saving your own skin at the end of the day. You're still human." Yuno stated. "Now. Will you marry me now?"

"It seems I don't have a choice."

He got up and extended it. "You always did, though you can also make the wrong choice. It's your decision, dewdrop."

The ceremony continued, though I could tell everyone had mixed reactions based on what happened earlier, but we all knew to keep it to ourselves and not let it slip outside the chapel. Yuno kept extra hold on me and when it was time to seal the marriage with a kiss, I couldn't help but look at Leopold who wouldn't meet my eyes, wishing I had married him instead.

Yuno must've known as he held my face tightly and kissed me more roughly though to everyone else watching it must've been a passionate kiss.

Julius didn't dare to meet my eyes but congratulated Yuno for the marriage during the banquet, toasting to a prosperous future. I stared at Yuno with zero affection as he told the people at the after party what a happy couple we were.

After the first dance, I couldn't take it anymore. I went outside to the balcony, ignoring the cold. My breathing was so heavy, my chest tight with emotion. I tried to calm myself down but knew I couldn't. I heard the door open and the guards moving inside, so I assumed it was the person I hated most.

The warmth they provided told me otherwise.

"Leo..."

His voice was neutral. "You'll get cold out here. At least take my jacket."

I took comfort in him putting his jacket around my almost-bare shoulders. "Thank you."

He gently turned me around and his voice cracked when he saw the tears in my eyes. "Oh (y/n)...no one deserves to cry on their wedding. I'm sorry."

"I'm the one who's sorry. If I never accepted, you wouldn't have wanted to come with me and be part of his royal guard."

"I would've always followed you. You know how I feel, though it's inappropriate now that you're married."

"I don't want to be married to him!" I held his hand. "If it had been my choice, I would've married you in a heartbeat."

"(nickname)-"

"That's enough." Yuno's voice ruined our moment. He ripped my hand from Leopold's warm ones, glaring at him. "I'll thank you to keep yourself away from my wife."

"She didn't want to marry you. Anyone can see it."

Yuno raised his hand and Leopold was struck, his left eye literally split in half. He roared in pain as guards surrounded him. "Take him to the dungeon. He will await trial. He tried to take my wife."

"No he didn't!" I protested, but it did nothing. Yuno grabbed my hand and dragged me away, the jacket falling.

He announced we would be taking our leave and guests who weren't at the wedding ceremony made inappropriate comments about already wanting to produce an heir, or get "down and dirty".

Yuno dragged me to our shared quarters after telling the servants and guards not to come in no matter what they heard until the morning.

He threw me against the wall, putting his hands on my shoulders and pushing me up. "You've got some nerve. Allowing him to do such heinous acts. You're no better than a common whore."

"I'd rather be a common whore instead of your wife," I spat. "You are nothing to me. Dirt horses stomp on is worth more to me than you ever will be."

"You and that mouth of yours. I'll finally be able to make use of it."

I tried to push him off me as he pushed me to the floor, horror in my eyes as I finally understood the severity of the situation.  "No-"

"Don't bother calling for help. No one can hear you and no one will help you." Yuno yanked his pants down. "As much as I hate you, I have fantasized about finally claiming you as mine. Good thing I did so before Leopold did. He was going to propose before I did. It's a shame, really. He's always loved you and you've never seen it."

Despite me trying to take off the earrings so I could use magic against him, they moved to no avail. Once he was finally satisfied with using my face, he threw me onto the bed, not bothering to take off the wedding dress.

He removed my underwear and looked at me with a bit of emotion before snapping back to the cold expression I constantly saw. "If we had gone down a different path, this would've been one of the most memorable moments for me. For us."

He kissed me one final time, as if to acknowledge the past feelings we both shared that were long gone. Six years gone.

He lifted my legs and laughed as I tried to get out of his grip. "Oh please. Keep squirming and trying to escape, it's turning me on."

He grabbed my throat and pushed me down, me letting out a scream as he broke my left leg. "That should make this better. You're nothing more than a slut for me to use. I bet you've already had someone inside you. Leopold Vermilion, perhaps?"

He hesitated, first putting a finger into me then got more aggressive. He stretched me out once and decided I was ready. I let out a cry of agony as he shoved himself in, him letting out a moan and gripping my neck tighter, biting at my neck and sucking it. "FUCK. You're pussy's so fucking tight. It's like no one's been inside it."

He was deaf to my pleas for him to stop, taunting me. "You're saying you hate it...yet your body seems to enjoy it. Which is it, you little bitch?"

Yuno eventually grew tired after I had came multiple times on him. With a groan, he emptied himself inside me. "If you have a child, at least I'll know it's mine and no one else's." He slid out and didn't bother changing me, choosing to sleep next to me and soon passed out.

I stayed up longer, seeing fireworks through the window as the kingdom celebrated our marriage.

Our loveless marriage that I did not ask for. A marriage to a man who has given me everything and took everything at the same time.

_____________

This story was never meant to display a healthy relationship. Yuno cannot forgive MC (which is fine) but takes it too far which is not fine. Drop the story now if this is too much for you, it will get worse. This is not a healthy fic, though he will eventually have a redemption arc. Not for a while though.
