( two → the Mark of the Scarlet God )

In the shadows arose the great Selene ― the sorceress supreme of the Moonlit Coven ― to witness the Mark of Chaos appearing in the skin of Lilith Midnight right before her very eyes. Mother and Lilith finally draw back from the hug, and before Lilith could question the presence of Selene, Mother speaks through a softer tone.

❝ My child, ❞ Mother whispers softly, trying to find a way to unveil the prophecy spoken to her, she carresses the face of Lilith softly before delivering the devastating news. ❝ The shadows have looked after you for centuries; and you have grown to become a powerful force. But in the events of you becoming a greater force that the Umbra has helped you become, an Outer God has found you and has blessed you with their mark, ❞ Mother continues, trying her best to maintain her strength before showing Lilith her arm.

The Mark of Chaos has appeared in her arm; Mother closes her eyes, and Selene watches all of this unfold right before her very eyes, the sheer fear and horror that Lilith Midnight feels could kill an entire world, the Scarlet God has found favor in her, and in that, she would bear the child of the Scarlet God.

❝ No... ❞ Lilith Midnight says in disbelief, she shakes in fear and horror, ❝ Is this what the Umbra has spoken to me, Mother? ❞ she barely can look Mother in the eyes, but she feels the answer coming to her. She shakes her head, in the years of losing her coven, Lilith finally is free of a burden; but this was another burden being given to her.

The Mark of Chaos looks to be based in blood; its mark is in scarlet, it bore eight circular eye-like in its outer corners, with a seven star-like visual in the middle. In its inner most look is a woman with scarlet hair running wild, her hands in a pose of a saviour. Lilith Midnight can only look in horror as she continues to attempt to even unravel the knowledge of an Outer God finding her interesting.

The Mark of Chaos ― only sent chills and more fear with each look ― was something that Lilith, Selene and Mother only knew. Lilith knew of the existence of the Outer Gods because of Mother's knowledge, and as for Selene, she knew of it because of her sister-in-arms, Medea.

Lilith, despite the fear and horror of her current situation, lands herself. Calming herself down, she finally asks Mother about the Sorceress Supreme of the Moonlit Coven, amd why is she here. Mother answers, ❝ The Sorceress Supreme of the Moonlit Coven is here to aid you in this plight.❞ to which Lilith listens intently, she has never questioned Mother's authority, so she continues to listen before responding.

❝ Selene's coven is knowledgeable in the darkest of arts. ❞ Mother adds, ❝ Medea Scarheart is a witch who knows a great deal regarding the darkest of arts. You must return to the craft, and become one with the coven, and maybe we can delay what will transpire.❞ Mother finally finishes, her shadowed figure stands tall, and Lilith understands that she must return to her craft.

Lilith initially wanted to reject the conversation, but looking back into the mark, she understands that Mother is speaking from her heart ― all of her words are compelling, and is in no way showing ill-intent, so Lilith Midnight agrees to become one with her new coven.

Selene finally speaks, ❝ I know this is a difficult time for you, but you have my word, that the coven and I will protect you from way's harm. ❞ she comforts Lilith, in which she appreciates and is grateful for such opportunity to return to her craft. Had the conversation been different, this would be comforting for Lilith, but she keeps her silence and instead they all move towards the Moonlit Coven.
