"Hello, my love."

"Sire, are you sure we can do this, won't the queen get angry?"

"My love, we can do whatever it is we wish I am the king all."

"Yes, of course, my lord."

This was a conversation heard outside of the king's bedroom by the Ryan the steward of the castle. He ran dashed down the stairs to tell the queen immediately, The king was having an affair.

"What is the meaning of this Ryan has told me you're having an affair?!"

"No my love is true to only you"

"So you deny these accusations that Ryan has made? That you're sleeping with a- a handmaiden?"

"Yes, my love I do deny it."

"I shall have him beheaded for such an accusation, this is fine with you of course?"

Oh, what was a king to do when placed in a situation like that?

"Yes, of course, my love."

But as time grew on his love for the fair maiden only increased. Soon he became aware that he was to be a father. Oh how he was delighted, but then he remembered that he was nothing more than a cheating swine. He could not have this child exist. At every opportunity he had he tried to murder his fair maiden, but when he looked into her eyes he couldn't find the courage to do it.

"My lord I bear great news!"

"Yes?"

"Our child has been born, it's a girl"

"Oh what joy what joy!"

But the child could not survive, unless he was to tell his wife, no, what great rage that would bring her. He had a plan, a dastardly plan.

"My love, could you show me the child?"

"Oh but of course!"

So down he went into the chambers of the castle and found a small child covered in blankets. She had skin as pale as snow. He could not kill the child she was far too pure far too innocent for this world.

"My love, what have you named her?"

"I have named her Avery"

"Oh what a fitting name! My love, I-I'm sorry, I truly am."

Then he stabbed her, she was dead as was the affair. He knew he had to keep the child or he would wish himself dead in her place every day and every night.

But what the king had realized was that his handmaiden was no ordinary woman for she was a vampire.

Well, that's the first chapter up. I know some of you are wondering "Where's the evil queen?" "Her mother was a vampire what?", all will be explained in due time so for now just sit back and enjoy the ride.
