five : it's on
i was facing up, breathing heavily as a bead of sweat trickled down my temple. a grunt escaped my lips as i pressed harder, frustration consuming my being.
wait.
not that way, oh my god. there's a more innocent context to this, i swear.
i grabbed the wrench to my right(yes, a wrench, you dirty minded hoes) and tightened the pipes, ensuring that no leaks would happen.
yeah, kyungmi is making me fix her bathroom sink, while she lazes around reading manga and playing video games or whatever. i love her, but come on.
give a man a break.
i wiped my forehead with the back of my hand, thoroughly exhausted by doing this stupid work. "yo, k!" i hollered to her, hearing a thud which i presumed to be her phone, and a soft padding of her feet across the floor. i slid out from under the counter, dusting myself off.
"yeah, what's up? is it done?"
i sneered at her tired figure, nodding nonetheless.
she nearly jumped for joy, tugging me upwards and embracing me, causing my heart to beat too fast and my cheeks to heat up. "thank you thank you thank you!" she repeated. almost certain that she could feel the erratic thumping of my heart against my ribs, i squeezed her a little bit before letting go. my face was a dark shade of red when i peeked into the mirror, hand reaching up to ruffle my hair out of habit.
"no problem. what are boyfriends - i mean friends, for?"
she gave me another awkward side-hug accompanied by a bright toothy smile, to which i gently pat her arm, indicating for her to let go. "you know what?" she beamed, and i was instantly terrified. her ideas were not only crazy, they were insane.
"we should bake a cake."
oh. i was expecting something like "let's go to a haunted house!" or "let's jump off the roof with garbage bags as parachutes!"
i shrugged, "yeah, i guess. i'm not the best at baking though, so don't count on me."
her next action had my heart leaping to my throat.
she grasped my hand, tugging me out of the bathroom and into her kitchen. "it doesn't matter, you idiot! baking is a learning process."
after recovering from my initial shock, i began to pull out ingredients from her cupboards; milk, flour, sugar, vanilla essence, and a few eggs.
she had brought out the dishes we'd need, bowls and whisks decorating her small, marble counter.
it was a comfortable silence while we worked, until i sneezed into the bowl of flour, sending it flying over us like a fine mist. yikes.
"yah! you idiot!" she yelled, her bottom lip sticking out to form a small cherry pout. "you made a goddamn mess."
she took a handful of remaining flour, hurling it at my chest, and it wasn't long until we had an aggressive flour war in her kitchen, the floor covered in a thin coating of the substance.
"it looks like there's crack spilled everywhere," i mumbled, sweeping my gaze over the room.
we both started laughing, chucking flour at each other once again. as she picked up another handful of the substance, i bolted away.
i soon found myself hiding in her room, my back against the door as i held the bag of flour under my armpit, panting.
there was a pin drop silence, my breath caught in my throat as i inched away from the door, facing it.
suddenly, the door was thrown open and kyungmi bounded in, tackling me to the floor as i let out a pitiful yelp.
she released an almighty roar, "this is what you get!"
i began to squeal as her long fingers prodded at my sides, tickling me. she was eliciting a crazed laughter, the cold floor pressing against my back painfully as i squirmed, trying not to let tears escape from the amount of laughs leaving my lips.
"oh my god, kyungmi, p-please," i stuttered within cackles, tears springing into my eyes as she finally eased her assault, rolling next to me on the floor, closing her eyes peacefully.
i tilted my head to the side, examining her flawless features.
she had pale, clear skin, give or take a few freckles which only added to her prettiness. she had a sharper jawline than me, which kinda surprises me to be honest, but i know that she works hard to keep herself fit.
she was sporting a larger nose than most, and thick lips to complement her small, hooded eyes. her hair was pulled into a bun at the crown of her head, baby hairs sticking out and framing her face.
i don't know how long i laid there, taking in her raw and natural beauty.
she was dressed simply and cutely too; a soft panda hoodie - "good choice," i had whispered to myself - and a pair of red shorts.
goddamn, her beauty is ethereal.
and soon, i found myself rolling over, placing my elbows on opposite sides of her stomach. her eyes were still closed, peaceful breaths leaving her plump lips.
i wondered if she'd feel it if i stole a kiss; or if she'd be mad, or kiss me back.
i was ready to take the chance, but before i could lean in any further, her eyes shot open and she began assaulting me with tickles again.
well, so much for that.
