I know what I'm doing,
I know that it's strange,
I am different from the other day.

For me it's like a dare,
I wonder if anyone would care,
I've made a mistake now I've got to pay.

I let myself down
For something that I knew might not fit my crown.
Yet, I didn't stop and let it take all away.

But now I'm letting go
For now I know that all this time
I've been my own foe.
I'm trying to heal the wounds
I never intended to take,
The ones which made my heart to sway
Leaving it alone on the way.

Now I need time
To make things like before,
Beautiful and fine.
Everything is just so different
It makes me feel
like I'm someone else.
