Ash's P.O.V.

I began to investigate on the mysterious disappearance of Laura, though I didn't get a lot of information from Laura's mom. I remember Laura saying to me that she'll be at her moms house for about a week then she'll meet me in Lumiose City, but unfortunately that never happened. I guess I could check Lumiose City, but I highly doubt that she's there. Maybe Clement knows?

"Okay Pikachu, the first place we're going to check is Lumiose City." I say to my partner Pikachu.

"Pika!" Pikachu replies in a happy tone.

After a long walk we've finally made it to Lumiose City. Each building towered over the one before it, but the tallest building in the city was Prism Tower, which holds the Lumiose City gym inside. Pikachu and I walked around busy blocks and crowded streets to get to Prism Tower. A few minutes of those continuous steps, we've finally arrived at the tower. It was almost dusk which means, Prism Tower will light up and cover the town in beautiful glimmering lights.

"Alright buddy, let's ask Clement and Bonnie if they've seen Laura."

"Pika." He says in agreement.

I stepped afoot into the tower, which was programmed with many technical logical stuff that Clement made. Science is so cool! I stepped into an elevator and pressed the button to the floor I assumed Clement would be on.  The elevator door closed then it went up. The second the last ringing sound was gone, I stepped out. I saw Clement a few feet away, bent down working on something.

"Uh hey Clement." I began.

Clement turned around then smiled. "Hello Ash, long time no see? What decided to bring you here?" He greeted kindly.

"I was wondering–." I was about to tell Clement the urgent situation, until I heard a childish voice come a few meters away. Quickly, a young girl ran up to me then hugged me.

"Ash! I haven't seen you in a long time!" Bonnie cheered. "And I'm sure Dennene missed you too!" Then from her small yellow bag that she carries around her neck, pops out a small Pokemon then has some similar details to Pikachu. Pikachu hopped off my shoulder and stood next to Dennene, then they began to play around.

"Hey Bonnie!" I greet. "I have a question, for you and Clement. Have you two seen Laura?"

Both of the smiles on Clement's and Bonnie's faces dimmed. Clement then walked over to me.

"I thought she was with you?" Clement questions.

"No, it's like she mysteriously disappeared." I reply.

Then, out of a sudden a smirk appears on Clements face. His glasses gleamed white then he pushed them up.

"The future is now thanks to science! Clementic gear on!" Clement was no standing next to a machine that may or may not be able to find Laura but I have a high chance that it will. "I call it The Finder. It can track everything and any given time. Now first we put in Laura's name." Clement then typed in the name, Laura Miller. I turned around and I noticed Bonnie muttering a few words, but I didn't really pay attention what she was saying because I was so distracted with Clements machine.

"Now we wait until the machine gets a sign of Laura." The machine made all sorts of sounds, finally it began to move.

"I think it got a hold of Laura!" Bonnie cheered from behind me. Clement, Bonnie, and I then followed the machine through various streets and towns until it stopped from where I was before, Santalune Forest.

"It says Laura is here? But I don't see her." Clement asked himself curiously.

"It doesn't make sense," I mumble. "I was here in the same exact spot earlier, and there was no sign of her." Clement and Bonnie trend there heads to face me, maybe I spoke to myself a little too loud. Suddenly, the machine Clement built began to make a beeping sound, but the sound was speeding up every second, then it exploded. Black smoke covered us all then we began to cough. I felt my hair puff up, which irritated me a little then I fixed it.

"Good job, big brother." Bonnie said with sarcasm. "Now how are we supposed to find her."

"Hmm, Ash? You said that you were here in this same exact spot before right?" Clement asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"I think I know what happened to Laura."

Hey guys, I'm so sorry for not updating!! I've been really busy so don't kill me! I've finally managed to update the book so yeah. Anyways, the next chapter will be out in exactly 383839 years so see you all then. Oh and what do you think happened to Laura?
