Dinner calls!

You woke up to Chara whispering words in your ear. A weird way to wake up, but it's been like this for over 2 years. Besides, it's much more peaceful than an alarm, so you're not complaining.

You paddle through the motions of getting yourself ready, minus the sleepiness (waking up in a strange place kicks that off nicely). You stop at the uniform. It's a replica of the brothers, except you aren't given any neckties or whatnot. You're glad you've been given pants, above all things.

You talk to Chara idly while waiting to be called upon for breakfast. "How are we going to face him at breakfast?"

You shrugged. "We'll just go with the flow, I guess." You said calmly. Chara gave up, sighing.

"I guess so... what do we have for today..." Both of you continued your chatter.

A few minutes before seven, there's a sharp rap on your door, telling you it's time for breakfast. You grab your school bag and head out, Chara trailing slowly behind you, as far as she can.

"Morning, Mammon." You greeted him, falling into pace.

"Mornin'." He sighed. "Man, why do I have to take care of some human. 'S not like Satan or Levi or anyone else's too busy doin' stuff. I mean, I got loads to do too, ya know! 'S so annoying..." Despite it being you that he's complaining about, you nodded, adding several small comments to boost his confidence.

Soon enough, you reached the breakfast hall. Lucifer and Beel are already there, Lucifer holding a cup of strong, black coffee and Beel eating. You greeted them before settling down to eat. You stared at the new, different pair of vast options before you. How are you going to know which ones to eat? And why are they all singing?

Satan noticed your confusion and offered a few words of advice. You thanked him graciously, but he frowned. "I'm surprised you're so willing to take my word. You aren't concerned I might be lying to you? "

"You would've tried yesterday, right? And besides," You took a glance at Lucifer. "I don't think he'd be pleased with it." Satan frowned even more at your explanation but brushed it off. It came to your attention that he's a nice conversationalist. How nice!

And before you know it, you arrived at school. Mammon left, saying he had a different class. Uncomfortable murmurings, much like the one you felt when you first escaped the Underground surrounded you, but you ignored it.

"Look, it's the human everyone's talking about!" A succubus nearby whispered to her friend.

"And she's unguarded! Let's go eat her up before Beel does." Her friend replied, giving you hungry looks.

"I think it's best if we walked away, fast." Was Chara's terrified advice to you. You didn't, determination wavering, feet seemingly stuck in one place. "We can find out how to handle ourselves once we get into the classroom. Come on." She urged. Now, you moved, quickly so.

Upon entering the classroom, you don't spot any familiar-looking people, so you chose the most inclusive place to sit- the back of the classroom, near a wall. You silently took the spot and examined demons and succubus' alike enter and exit the classroom. Some had hazy-looking bodies, some had solid bodies, with different body parts and such. A demon, with a bowtie and a brown suit, completed with 2 curved horns on its head, marched in front of the classroom.

It coughed and began to speak in a strange dialect, something you never heard. You checked the class. It's Demon language.

"Why is that our first class?! Couldn't it be maths or something?!" Chara groaned in desperation. "We have never heard of this language!" And so the first day of school begins.

It wasn't as terrible as you expected. Other than the language class, you could understand most of the school subjects. Lunchtime. You stared at the purple glob which the lunch lady said was jam. You poke it hesitantly with a spoon. Is it really- It growled.

"...let's not eat that." You quickly agreed, setting it aside and choosing to eat empty bread instead. As you ate, you calculated that you've met three brothers in your classes: Satan, Beelzebub, and Lucifer. You wondered where Mammon was but assumed he was in another class.

You sighed and took the final slice of bread before chucking the whole thing into the dustbin. you left for your next class, which was magic. How exciting!

Long story short, in this period, you get to battle with other monsters to test your strength. The room turned dark like it normally does when you enter a fight.

The room is divided into 2 sides. 3 demons, or Little D's, Lucifer called them, appeared on the opposing side while 3 chibi versions of the demon brothers, in your case Mammon, Lucifer, and Satan appear before you.

"This is the battlefield." The professor boomed, you don't know from which direction. "Little D's are your opponents, and they have different skills."

"Essentially, you defeat your opponents by outdancing them, which gives you points, and your total score has to maximize a line drawn on a bar, hologram style. Cards can be upgraded by redoing your tasks over and over or getting newer, better cards. Before every single lesson, there is a machine on your D.D.D. that reports the total amount of strength, your opponent's, that you have, and you must exceed your opponent's." The professor concluded. You won, quite handily so. The fact that you won and could survive filled you with DETERMINATION.

The bell rang, and it's time to go home. You sighed in relief, the body still aching. You couldn't find a spell that would heal you. Mammon followed you home, chattering lightly. Seemed he forgot about yesterday.

You decided to take a shower. You grabbed the new cyan towel and trudged into the bathroom. Chara, of course, waited outside. Luckily, the bathroom's pretty small. You hesitantly turned the hot water tap to the left.

Big mistake.

A shoot of flaming water sprays out, burning your hand. You bit your lip, trying to ease the pain by turning on the cold water tap. Alas, an even bigger mistake. The frostbite-like feel of the water messed your arm up even more.

-6 HP!

You hissed, walking over to the sink to hopefully cool it down. Fortunately, it was the perfect temperature for your arm. You blast it under there for 5 minutes until it cooled down. You walked out of the bathroom, in much surprise to Chara.

"You're done?" You shook your head, explaining what happened. She cringed and stared at your hand. "Yeesh, must hurt."

You nodded, and asked, "Do you think there's a first aid around here?" Chara shrugged.

"Only one way to find out." You trudged out of your room, vaguely remembering the way to the kitchen. That's where mom usually keeps it. You hoped the brothers done the same.

In the kitchen, you find Lucifer, chopping something up. He turned around before you even said anything. How did he do that? "Rubina? What is-" His eyes trailed to your wounded hand.

"What happened?" He didn't rush towards you, but his gaze does. "It would be bad if anything wrecked Diavolo's reputation."

You shrugged off the last comment, explaining: "I tried taking a bath, but the water was too hot, so I scorched my arm. I tried to use the cold water to cool it, but it made it worse. I was wondering where the first aid kid is." You explained, wincing as the pain continued.

Lucifer put the knife he held down, then approached you, gently taking your arm. "Stay still." You moved further away from him, as a natural reaction. He took firm steps towards you and took your hand. "I'm not going to hurt you." He reassured. Somehow, those words made you follow him, and the green light glowed softly on your arm. Seconds later, the bruise is gone.

+ 6 HP! Your health maxed out!

You looked up at Lucifer thankfully, thanking him. "You're welcome." He gripped the knife even tighter. "When I find Mammon, I'll skin him alive." You hissed at the threat, even though it isn't directed to you. "You can shower later, can't you?" You nodded, thanking him once again, before heading to your room.

"Well, I guess demons don't need first aid kids after all," Chara commented. You stared at the now-gone bruise. It's in perfect condition. Not a dent in your flesh. It's exactly how mom would've treated it.

* Dinner | 7: 12 PM *

"Where's the moron?" Satan asked, cutting up a seemingly normal looking broccoli. That is until it sang when he scarved it down. Luckily, today's breakfast taught you what foods are and aren't eatable. You took sandwiches and sausages. They're delicious!

"Probably forced to go out with the witches or something. I'm sure he's having fun." A small giggle circled the table. Should you stand up for Mammon?

"Uh, he said he was going out on an errand." You meekly suggested, getting Lucifer's attention.

The second oldest burst into the room. "I'm back-" He froze mid-action as his eyes meet Levi's. The third oldest stood up, banging the table and pointing at Mammon.

"How about I vote for you to die, Mammon?" He glares at Mammon furiously. You wonder why.

"D'oh...! Levi..."

"Mammon, give me my money back. Then die." Of course, Avatar of Greed, money follows him everywhere. So do problems with money, you supposed.

"I told you! I don't have it right now!" Mammon pouts and they continue arguing, something about the money being owed for at least 200 years.

"I need to buy the Blu-ray box set of Journey to the Devildom: The Tale of a Little She-Devil and Her Reluctant Companion! The initial round of copies includes promotional tickets to a live event as a special bonus." Lucifer coughed, silencing them both.

"Mammon, I thought I asked you to deal with Rubina's needs, correct?" Mammon looked at me in panic, then at his older brother.

"Y-yeah! I took her on a tour, I set the room up and stuff! Is there anything else she needs?"

"What she needs, Mammon," Lucifer started, his voice going dangerously low. "is normal water temperatures." Mammon frowned, confused.

"What the hell does that mean?" He whispered under his breath. Lucifer glare made him quickly change his answer. "I-I mean... um... 400 degrees for hot water and -400 for cold water, right?"

The whole table, including you (you couldn't help it), drew a collective sigh. "What?! What?!" Mammon complained, trying to ignore Lucifer's glare.

"Mammon. There's a difference between human and demon bodies. That's why I told you to read human anatomy, didn't I?" Lucifer drew closer to Mammon. "I even gave you 200 years to read that, didn't I?"

"...He's going to die." Chara stated offhandedly. You agreed with her, trying to think of something to cool the mood.

"About my schoolbooks..." You asked, drawing attention from Mammon to you. "There's one written in an odd language. What is that written in?"

Lucifer settled down, but not before glaring at Mammon one last time. "Well..."

You mentally drill the information to your head, as the other brothers begin conversing along. As they continue talking, you noticed as Mammon and Levi sneaked out of the room. The topic ranged from schoolwork to cooking. Eventually, you had a handful of information to store in your brain.
