"Tobi!!" He dashes up to him in the hallway.
They continue, rushing to make it before the bell.
"What." Tobias didn't even look up.
"Can I walk with you to class??" Rudy steps in front of him and holds out his hand proudly.
Tobias finally glares up, unamused.
"I'm not a homosexual, Rudy. Unlike you."
*𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐃𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐍!!*
"Ouch, Tobi." He flushes, pouting.
Tobias sighed, "will you stop calling me "tobi" if I take your hand."
Rudy's crimson eyes lit up, "YES!" he held it out even further.
Tobias took a quick glare at Rudy's wrist.
A feeling of relief (that he hated) came over him, seeing as they were just scars in its place.
"Ugh. This is pathetic." It was his turn to pout, as he took his hand.
They walk in silence, Rudy swinging their hands back and forth.
...
"Will you quit?" Tobias harshly asked, trying to wipe the grin off his face.
The smile only seemed to grow, and he stopped swinging.
...
"Okay! We're here!" They had art class together first period, since they put the sophomores and the juniors in the same group for this elective.
"Can you let go now?" Tobias didn't care to ask politely.
Rudy nodded and let go.
"Okay! Art class, here we come!" Rudy announced as he opened the door to the classroom.
"You're optimistic." Tobias scoffed, walking ahead.
...
Rudy wasn't following.
"Hm?" Tobias glanced back at him to see-
Rudy froze in his place. His breathing stopped. It's like the whole world was 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐢𝐦. All he could hear was his heart pounding through the ringing of his ears.
Tobias followed Rudy's eyes in confusion, to see he was locked eyes with a boy.
This wasn't a boy he really recognized.
Only from pictures at Rudy's house.
Tobias couldn't quite place the name.
Seconds felt like hours, as he just stared into his dark greenish brown eyes.
Rudy did a 180 and bolted right outta there, holding his mouth.
Tobias darted his eyes between the boy's grin and the empty spot next to him.
Instead of asking questions, he turned around and sprinted after Rudy.
