Chapter 36
Jenna felt the breath getting knocked out of her chest the moment Remus leaned down and pressed his lips against hers, her eyes widening in shock.
For a split second, as the alcohol in her system got the best of her and after the anger Sirius had caused her, Jenna felt herself kissing him back. But not a second later she suddenly came back to herself and pressed her palms against his chest, pushing him back and almost stumbling down in the process.
"Bad idea... very very bad idea..." she tried to say, feeling the world spinning around her, and her head aching so terribly as if it was just about to burst.
But then, before Remus could say anything, Jenna suddenly transformed back into a cat and ran away, disappearing off into the Dark Forest.

Jenna woke up hours later with the feeling of cold around her and the hard and uncomfortably ground underneath her. She tried getting up, but her headache was weighing her down.
Although when she finally managed to open her eyes, Jenna saw that she was in her cat form and was sleeping beside a bush in the Dark Forest.
With a groan, Jenna turned herself back to human form, holding her aching head which was still spinning as she tried to recall the events that had taken place the previous night.
Although her memories seemed to be in a haze and she had a hard time remembering what had happened last night.
She could clearly remember her fight with Sirius in the Shrieking Shack and how he had told her to bring him the Gryffindor common room's password, seeing as he wanted to try and kill Pettigrew himself, regardless of the consequences.
Jenna then remembered how she had gone down to the kitchen and asked Mickey for a bottle of Fire Whiskey, although she hadn't stayed there for too long.
She had then went down to the Black Lake, exactly where she, Lily, Alice, and Marlene liked to sit on a warm and sunny day back when they were young.
The rest of her memories of last night were somewhat a blur. Jenna could recall how Remus had found her, but she had fully forgotten their conversation.
"Ugh..." Jenna groaned again, trying to block her eyes from the rays of sunshine, feeling like it was blinding her.
Fire Whiskey never suited her and she had a low capacity when it came to alcohol because she always started acting unlike herself, but at least it helped her wash her pain away.
Jenna smiled to herself when she remembered the first time she had tried Fire Whiskey when she had turned seventeen, and how she had kissed Sirius rather intensely back in the Gryffindor common room.
But just then Jenna eyes widened in horror and she clapped a hand to her mouth as this reminded her of what had happened the previous night between her and Remus.
"Oh God, oh God, oh God..." Jenna mumbled under her breath miserably, briskly trying to stand up to her feet, only to nearly stumbling down again.
So she placed a hand on tree trunk nearby, supporting herself up. Her heartbeat had picked up and she was breathing heavily and rapidly, her mind racing.
Remus kissed me...
She thought to herself, but even the mere thought scared her. Knowing that the only mature way to deal with this was to talk it out with Remus himself, Jenna wanted to make her way back toward the castle.
Although she knew that Remus had classes this morning, so she had to wait until later on that afternoon to pay him a visit.
The hours passed like days as Jenna lingered in the Dark Forest, alone with her own thoughts. She kept pacing around, trying to decide what she was going to tell him.
Jenna had been so drunk last night that she had even forgotten to apologize to Remus for not being able to be there for him on the previous full moon which had taken place in the Christmas break, forgetting to explain to him that Hermione had locked her up those days in her dorm.
But at last Jenna turned back into a random young Gryffindor student whom she had seen many times in the common room and then she walked down through the castle, making her way toward Remus's office when she knew that his classes were over.
Knocking at his door, Jenna opened it up when she heard a faint 'come in'. She then found Remus inside, sitting behind his desk and grading his students' essays.
"Ah, Mr. Creevey," he said with a kind smile as he looked up. "How may I help you?"
But Jenna didn't answer him and instead closed the door, transforming back to herself. Remus suddenly jerked up from his seat from shock and then placed a hand over his fast-beating heart.
"You scared me," he muttered, trying to regain himself.
"We need to talk," Jenna started after using a charm to lock up the office's door, preventing anyone from getting in or hearing their conversation.
"Right..." Remus nodded awkwardly, avoiding her eyes.
"Remus, listen... I don't remember much of last night and I don't know how much of that was my fault... but I thought you should know that... it was a mistake. I'm engaged. So... I came here to apologize for my part."
"I-I know," Remus whispered, shaking his head. "I thought I wouldn't feel guilty for kissing you, after everything that he has done over the years... but I still did. I'm so sorry."
Jenna nodded, pausing for some while. "Nothing else happened though, right?" she asked fearfully, but to her relief Remus shook his head briskly.
"No, of course not," he said quickly, and Jenna let out the breath she wasn't aware of holding.
"So... Can we — can we just forget it ever happened?" she said and Remus nodded curtly, throwing his head down.
"I think you should better get going," he said after another long pause. "Harry's coming here. I promised him I would teach him how to produce a Patronus charm."
"Really?" Jenna forced a little smile at him.
"Yes... he's been having problems with the dementors. Specially during the last Quidditch match. He doesn't want it to happen again."
Jenna remained quiet, a sharp pain going through her heart as she remembered Harry saying that he could hear Lily's screams whenever a dementor neared him.
"That's very nice of you, to teach him this," she said in a quiet voice. "Harry can really use your help."
"Well, James helped me with it, didn't he? And he had always been there for me, when I needed someone." Remus smiled warmly at the memories. "It's like I'm just returning the favor."
