Chapter 163

The next day, Sirius and Jenna received a letter from Molly, inviting them over to stay at the Burrow over the Christmas break. Remus was also staying at the Weasleys' house, and he was going to sleep in Fred and George's old bedroom now that they had moved to their own flat above their joke shop.

Sirius had asked Jenna if she would've wanted to take a room at the Burrow and stay there for the holidays, but Jenna turned the offer down.

"I'm just so tired of staying as a cat. I honestly rather stay at the Potter Manor for through the Christmas break," she said as they sat in the living room.

They were both sitting on the couch with Jenna leaning on Sirius and in his arms, gazing into the blazing fireplace as he caressed her long blue hair.

"But it's okay if you want to go and stay there. I know how much you love being somewhere crowded like that —"

"That's out of question, Jenny. I'm not going anywhere without you," Sirius reassured her. "But I might go there to see Harry for a few hours."

Sirius suddenly saw Jenna stiffen up in his arms at those words.

    "Everything all right?" Sirius questioned.

"W-well... I was... I was thinking that maybe I could talk with Harry," Jenna muttered, sitting up straighter so that she wasn't leaning on him anymore, though he still had his arm around her.

Sirius smiled, putting a strand of Jenna's blue hair behind her ear. "I'm sure it would be great."

But the truth was, the closer they got to the time Jenna had decided to finally meet Harry, the more nervous she got. Jenna couldn't understand why that was. Perhaps it was because she was afraid of his reaction, or maybe because she was scared that something would go wrong again and she wouldn't be able to meet him again.

It was the day before Christmas that Sirius and Jenna Apparated outside the Burrow together, hand in hand. Taking a deep breath, Jenna then transformed into Crookshanks. Although she didn't want to raise suspicion as to how Hermione's cat had gotten there. So while Sirius entered through the front door, Crookshanks sneaked inside through the open window of the kitchen.

Sirius greeted everyone as Jenna went upstairs into the room in which Remus was staying over the holistic. He was away for a mission that day, so the room was left empty and safe for Jenna to stay in for the time being.

As Jenna and Sirius had planned, they were going to wait until after lunch to talk with Harry; that way, everyone would've scattered to do their separate duties in the house, so they wouldn't get too suspicious whenever Sirius was to call upon Harry.

Crookshanks kept going around the empty room upstairs, her head lightly spinning and her heart pounding in her chest nervously. This was the moment she'd been waiting for ever since she had found out that Harry was alive. This was all she wanted.

Just then, the cat turned around when the door to the room opened, and Sirius stepped inside. As it seemed, lunch was finally over. It was time.

The thought sent a shiver of excitement throughout Jenna's whole body. She had been waiting for this moment for too long.

The second Sirius closed the door behind him, Jenna transformed into her human form, and he saw that her hair had turned yellow from both nervousness and excitement.

"You ready?" Sirius asked with a smile as Jenna focused to turn her hair back to blue.

"I think so..." she mumbled, blinking rapidly.

"All right. Then I better go and call Harry upstairs. He's decorating the Christmas tree with the other kids —" but before he could turn to open the door, Jenna stopped him as she hurdled forward and grabbed his sleeve.

"No, wait!" She started tapping her foot on the floor anxiously, her mind going dizzy from everything that could go wrong.

"Jenna, there's nothing to worry about," Sirius said as calmly and gently as he could muster. "If he's anything like Lily or James, he's going love you no matter what."

"Yeah..." Jenna tried nodding. "Yeah... you're probably right... totally right."

"Okay." Sirius offered her another soft smile that helped her calm down a bit. "Now I'll go and ask him to come up. Just stay here in your human form. When he comes, just introduce yourself, and it will be fine."

"Okay. Yeah. Totally. Okay." Jenna nodded again for what felt like the hundredth time.

"Okay." Sirius chuckled and leaned down to peck her sweetly on the lips, before leaving the room and closing its door behind him again.

Walking downstairs, Sirius found the kids fathered around the Christmas tree in the living room, decorating it as they laughed together. As it seemed, they had placed an ugly gnome on top of the tree and had turned it into a golden color, stuffing him into a miniature tutu.

Sirius would've loved to know the story behind that, but that could wait. He then cleared his throat, getting their attention.

"Hey, Harry... would you come upstairs with me for a minute?" said Sirius, looking rather nervous. "There's someone I would like you to meet."

"Er..." Harry hesitated at first, looking around the room at the others, as though looking for someone else who knew what was going on. But when he saw that the others were just as confused as he was, at last he shrugged, saying, "Yeah, sure." And with that, he followed Sirius out of the living room.

"Who am I meeting?" Harry questioned, walking upstairs after Sirius.

Sirius just gave him a little knowing grin. "You'll see."

Harry saw Sirius let out a little breath as they reached Fred and George's old bedroom, before taking the door's handle and pushing it open.

Harry peered inside the room curiously, eager to know who Sirius was talking about. But he then took aback when he found the room seemingly empty.

He glanced sideways at Sirius, who was looking around the room with a frown. "Um... you sure someone was supposed to be here?"

He then saw Sirius's frown finally disappear when his eyes fell upon a corner of the room, shaking his head. Harry followed his gaze, only to find a ginger cat curled up in the corner.

"Crookshanks!" Harry said in surprise, wondering what the cat was doing here while she was supposed to be with Hermione.

"Not exactly," Sirius said with a sigh, before going forward to pick the cat up.

Harry couldn't understand what was going on as Crookshanks meowed angrily and tried squirming her way out of Sirius's grasp, but he only placed her down on the bed.

"Harry, do you mind closing the door behind you?" Sirius asked, a hand gently on the cat so she wouldn't escape away.

"Er... yeah, sure," Harry said in confusion before obliging.

He then became even more confused when Sirius took out his wand while he was sitting at the edge of the bed, locking the door and casting a silencing charm around the room.

"Who am I supposed to meet again? And how on earth did Crookshanks get here?" Harry questioned again, starting to get worried for his god father's mental health.

He then saw Sirius give the cat a knowing look, nodding at her encouraging. But just then, Harry cried out in shock and backed away when the next moment the cat leaped forward, transforming into a woman with long blue hair.
