Chapter 143

They all soon returned back to the Burrow, this time accompanied by the Weasley children and Lexi. The moment they arrived, Sirius went back upstairs to the room where he and Jenna were staying in. Although the two weren't planning on staying at the Burrow much longer.
Sirius couldn't wait for his name to be officially cleared, so he could get back out there and finally do something useful for the Order and go on different missions.
Now that everyone knew Voldemort was at large once again, he wasn't going to try and hide himself any longer. A darker era was approaching. They were all sure that it wasn't going to take long for the Daily Prophet to be filled with names of missing people and more terrible news.
Molly and Arthur had given Fred and George's old bedroom to Jenna and Sirius temporarily, seeing as the twins had moved out into their own flat, above their new Joke Shop.
It was a little hard for the couple to stay in that room, because it had two separate beds which were too far from each other for their liking. They had been apart for too long.
On their first night at the Burrow, they tried sleeping on the separate beds, but in the middle of the night Jenna gave up and got out of her bed to go to Sirius, seeing as neither of them could sleep that night.
They couldn't push the two beds together, seeing as Molly and Arthur had years ago put a Permanent Sticking charm on them, because the twins kept moving them around magically when they were kids.
So they curled up against one another on the tiny bed, sleeping in each other's arms. And frankly, despite the small space, they hadn't slept this well in months.
When Sirius opened the bedroom door, he saw Crookshanks laying on the bed, catching her large yellow eyes with a smile. As soon as he closed the door behind him and locked it, the cat leapt up and the next moment transformed into human.
"Hey," Jenna whispered, walking toward him. "How was Harry doing?"
"He went home with the Dursleys. Honestly, he was doing better than I expected, considering everything that's been happening..." Sirius said with a little sigh. "The kid's really strong, you know."
"Yeah, I know." Jenna nodded lightly with a smile. "I really can't wait to meet him. Although... I can't deny that I'm still a little stressed out."
"What?" Sirius raised his brows in surprise. "How come?"
"Well... it's been fifteen years..." Jenna mumbled. "I'm afraid that he might get mad at me for not showing myself to him earlier in his life."
"He won't!" Sirius shook his head. "Trust me. He'll understand when you explain everything to him."
"Well, it's not just that! There are a ton of other reasons! Besides, it's a little weird, you know; telling him I'm his aunt whom he never knew he had, and that I've been spying on him for the past few years at Hogwarts, disguised as his best friend's ginger cat."
"Well, of course it's gonna sound weird if you say it like that." Sirius laughed. But he then smiled, placing a strand of her blue hair behind her ear. "It's going to be fine. I promise."
Jenna said nothing and only nodded. She then went forward, wrapping her arms around him and bringing him into a warm hug.
"I missed you," Sirius said softly, placing a little kiss on the top of her head as he hugged her back.
Jenna chuckled, pulling back slightly to raise a teasing brow at him. "You've been gone only for an hour."
"So? I can't even miss you now!? Merlin, send me back to Azkaban, why don't you!" Sirius retorted, making her laugh.
"No need to be dramatic all the damn time, Black," said Jenna, grinning.
"What!? I'm not dramatic! Why would you say I'm dramati—" Sirius was protesting, but Jenna cut him off when she went on her tiptoes and brought him into a deep kiss.
"See?" Jenna whispered as she pulled away to catch her breath, "less talking, more kissing. Just like you said, remember?"
Sirius grinned at those words and leaned down without saying another word, pressing his lips down against hers.
In fact, Sirius did remember it perfectly. They had just started going out back then, at the time when they were trying to keep their relationship a secret, mostly from James. They couldn't start kissing everywhere or in public, and therefore Sirius had to come up with an idea.
So, one day as Jenna was on her way to her class, he magically ripped open her bag, causing all her books to fall out. When she went and bent down to pick them up, he quickly got a hold of her arm and dragged her into a broom closet nearby, slamming her against the door and kissing her passionately. Much like they were kissing now.
Although this time, Jenna was the one who had caught him off guard. With her arms still around his neck and their lips moving in sync, Jenna backed him away until he hit the bedroom door behind him.
Sirius tried to bring her closer to him by her waist, holding her tight, even though no space was left between them. He couldn't get enough of her. Every kiss they shared was like the first time.
"Sirius!" Molly's voice rang up loudly from downstairs and the two suddenly pulled apart, both out of breath. "Dinner's ready!"
"I'm coming!" Sirius yelled back, looking flustered.
"Already?" Jenna said with a grin.
Sirius turned on her sharply, giving her a look.
Jenna cleared her throat, trying hard to suppress a smirk, which was proving to be extremely difficult, and even impossible. "I'll see myself out."
Sirius shook his head at her in disappointment, but he was now grinning too. With that, Jenna transformed herself back to a cat and Sirius opened the door for her, and so they both walked downstairs alongside each other, joining the others in the kitchen for dinner.
