It was second time when Sera called her for breakfast but kaira didn't come. Why? She was really buzzy in selecting a best dress. She was keep changing and trying all her favourite one. That day there was something which Kaira wanted to remind her parents. So that was the reason Kaira spent a lot of time in her room.

After getting dressed up she brushed her hairs nicely and she was glancing her reflection in the mirror. She straightened her lacy blue top which she paired up with a black skirt reaching above her knees. She softly tighten her most favorite scarf around her neck giving herself a bright smile. She was in very good mood. Because next day was her birthday. She was expecting a big surprise for her 18th birthday.

During breakfast Kaira was keep looking at her parents. She was expecting some reaction from them because she spent so much extra time on her looks and dress. But neither David nor Sera acted like they notice anything special in her.

They also didn't seem like they were planning anything for her birthday. She thought it seemed like her parents might be forget about her birthday......her "18TH BIRTHDAY"

She got sad but still there was a little hope in her heart, perhaps they were planning very secretly.

"Sweetheart today we have to go somewhere but don't worry, till the night we will definitely return". Sera told her casually.

"What? You have to go?". Kaira said in disbelief, her eyes opened wide.

Now she was now completely believed her parents didn't remember at all, her whole joyous mood got totally ruined.

She was looking totally irritated.

"What about my lunch and dinner?" Kaira furiously said.

"Why are shouting sweetheart? I have already made and packed" . Sera said with a smug smile on her face.

Her face was glowing red, eyebrows squeezed together, creased formed at forehead. She was throwing her all frustration on her food and repeatedly poking fork on her plate creating an annoying sounds instead eating properly.

Sera and David both were carefully watching her every moves and burst into a loud laugh. Kaira put down fork on the table and crossed her hands her over her chest. Her temper had raised at the peak, she squinted her eyes and stared them.

"What's honey? Is somethings wrong? What happened? Why are you looking angry? Tell me perhaps I can help you"? Sera innocently.

"Yes princess". David said.

"Nothing Special! Just forget about it". Kaira sighed and replied furiously.

Sera and David both looked at each other and a cryptic smile trailed on their lips .

After finishing brakefast they both got buzzy in their work.

But kaira was still on the table eating alone. She was totally pissed off, she looked over her shoulder Sera was buzzy in the kitchen and David was in living room, he was doing some paper work.

"Kaira no need to cook food for dinner I will make it because I think "We will definitely return before the time". Sera said.

And after listening the last line. She felt as if she heard it before, exactly. She become blanked and freezed at her place like a statue, complete blackness flashed in front of her eyes.

She found it very strange when there were some voices started echoing in her ears but not clear, like wisphers. Her mind tried to analyze what was happening to her.

With every passing seconds words became clear, now she could hear those voices. It was like.. it was like a conversation among few people.

It was frightening, Kaira wanted to call her parents, she wanted to stand up. She wanted to move her body but she couldn't .

"Why are you always showing care only for him. Am I not important to you? You never showed concerne for me?"1st was a male voice.

"Stop nonsense. Don't talk to me like that, you both are important to me" . 2nd was female voice.

"We are going to the Valley just for a visit to check.. Is everything going well or not? But we will definitely return before the time". 3rd was another male voice.

"Promise". Female said.

"Yes. it's a promise". 2nd male said.

After few minutes her vision came back, she could move her body now. She was shaking and scared. She was thinking. What was that? She wanted to tell someone but she didn't.

She thought "if she told my parents, they won't believe me. They were already making fun of me during breakfast".

She decided she won't going to tell anyone, might be it was just her imagination because it couldn't be real.

She thought. "definitely it happened because not having a proper sleep yesterday". She was explaining just to convince herself .

She said goodbye to her parents and left for her school.

Kaira was in her class complaining with her friends. She told them about her birthday and how her parents forgot?.

"How can they forget about my 18th birthday?" Kaira said.

"Really they forgot?". Jenny widen her eyes.

"Stop Jenny, may be they just pretending". Jennifer snapped.

"It can be so. But when my uncle forgot about my cousin's 18th birthday. So my cousin went on a trip with my uncle's fav. car without telling him. Later when he returned front lights came out of its socket, steering got loose almost came out, windshield was totally crushed and bonnet was totally damaged. In other words it was a fully damaged car. Derek said paused.

He shook his head...."And you know what. How my uncle celebrated his belated 18th birthday when he returned. They locked his bike for a month until his car didn't come back from servicing.

Kaira blinked her eyes and watching them hopelessly.

"May be they forget". Jennifer said.

"Hmm mm. You right". Jenny agreed.

Kaira was quietly sitting on her seat she was disappointed . She was watching outside the windows.

Then she heard one of her classmates who said his friend ....."You are not coming with me".

Again after listening those words like morning she got stucked at her place. Just like morning some voice were echoing in her ears constantly.

"You are not coming with me".

That voice sounded known to her.

She felt like some muzzy pictures were flashing in front of her eyes. Most of them were nebulous but one was very clear.

The clear one was a picture of a lake like a mirror, shiny green Lake surrounded by mountains and greenery.

And blurred pictures had some new faces along with prince and a man who looked like old man.

"See Jenny kaira has gone again in her dream world". Derek nudged Jenny.

They both burst out into a fit of laughter.

"Kaira! Are you Okey? Kaira you are looking odd. Are you depressed? why are stucked like a rock?" Jennifer felt weird, She came upto her.

Derek with a smirk leaned close to her ears and shouted. "Kaira".

She was quickly came back in her conscious with a shock and couldn't make a balance.

And after seeing those pictures her heart filled with sadness and felt heavy. She couldn't do anything else but cry.

Everyone couldn't understand what happened to her, they just joking.

"Hye kaira what happened?" Jennifer placed her both hands on her shoulder.

Kaira didn't say anything she held her tightly in a hug. Jennifer was patting her back and tried to stop her. She wiped her tears with her handkerchief.

"I never thought you were that much depressed. You fool! Definitely uncle and anti would prepare something special for your birthday. We were playing prank with you". Jennifer sighed.

Jenny swat hardly Derek's arm.

"Hye, why are you hitting me all the time. I didn't do anything wrong. I was joking, that's all". Derek said innocently.

"Well tomorrow we'll celebrate your birthday. So please stop crying kaira and I'm telling you, your parents want to surprise you, for sure". Jenny said and hugged her.

When kaira was returning home once again her attention drawn towards the forest, where she used to of spending her whole days. After so many years something new she saw in her blur vision about old man

But she was not sure that was really him or not? Now he became like an unsolved puzzle to her .

She was in her home, alone and waiting for her parents.

She seemed totally upset.

She was upset because of her parents, because of her recurring dreams and now because of those voices and pictures.

Kaira took a deep sigh....."If I didn't have any control over these things then I shouldn't not think much....let the things as it is" .

She started watching random channels and shows.

When her parents returned, she was hoping maybe they bought any surprise gift but no....there was nothing. That really broke her heart and filled with dispair.

She was silent and didn't reply much to her parents. She was sad not feeling okey totally, she just wanted to fall on her bed.

"What happened to you?" Sera said.

Neither she was interested in listening her mother nor even waited for dinner. She straightly padded her room and fell on the fluffy bed.

She was thinking about the whole day everything so unexpected, confusing and so messy. She through a hand over her eyes. Her head was hurting and soon few tears rolled on her cheeks

KAIRA POV

"There is nothing normal since my childhood. I shouldn't feel sad. I should be used to of these things. I have already seen so many unbelievable things. Why I'm feeling panic? They have become a part of my life now".

"There is one, one missing link in my life and when I find out everything will be seem at its place like a complete picture " .

Kaira woke up, stretches and stifles a yawn. She saw Sera and David were standing near her bed. They had a big smile on their faces, they leaned and hugged her. They gave a kiss on her forehead and wished her and blessed her for a bright future .

They closed her eyes for a surprise which she was not expecting at all.

"How cruel you all, you know how bad I was feeling and thought you all forgot my 18th birthday". Kaira giggled.

In her mind she was guessing about the gift.

When they opened her eyes, her gift was her brothers .

It was the biggest gift for her because they didn't attend her birthday from years all together because of their work and study.

Her brothers caught her into a tight hugs and they all held a special gifts for her.

Kaira was completely amazed and so happy almost on cloud, it was beyond her expectation. She was seeing her brothers after a long time together.

Now she understood where her parents went yesterday.. because they had to pick them with their luggage .

Kaira felt top of the world, they were all talking, bantering and enjoying the meal together and spcecialy on her birthday.
She was so happy, they were seemed like a complete family .

They told her that they came here not for few days while they were going to settle here.

Jonathan and June had intention to help her father in his NGOs. Lane was going to work in a
steel company there . Edward transferred in the University where their mother was working

On her birthday she had no words for expressing her feelings her happiness . It's was one the best memorable day of her life .

She forgot everything about her dreams, about those voices, about pictures and about every problems .
