CLOUD POV

I was leading my army, heading towards the kingdom Aureliya along with Archer and Zinta. There were thirty thousand soldiers behind me and dragons were flying over the sky. Some best archers were also riding on the dragons. We brought our best soldiers with us who were highly skilled and intensively trained only for wars.

Three day had been passed and we had covered almost one third distance. So we decided to stop for a while there to rest near a river.

Zinta, Archer and me, we all three tied our horses near by and
resting under a huge tree. We were quitely sitting there but no one broke the silence. We could feel the awkwardness in the surrounding air.

It was the very first time when we were all together but there was  silence spread among us.

Zinta trailed off and sat far away, near the river bank. I knew she was upset with me and early I had tried to talk her but she didn't.

I was looking at her, Archer followed my gaze and broke the silence between us.

He cleared his throat. "Don't talk to her right now Cloud, she seemed upset. I think, give her sometime. she will be fine soon".

I looked away from her and took out my sward.

"By the way I'm really surprised by you Cloud. Father's.. perfect son is now becoming a rebellion". Archer stifled a grin.

I said nothing just kept cleaning my sward.

"Cloud I'm talking to you". Archer said.

I sighed. "What do you mean Archer?"

He said with a note of laughter in his voice. "You thought, I don't know nothing".

"Well..Cloud I'm your friend and I do care for you as you care for me and for others. And... I have no intention, keeping an eye on you but these days I realized you are changing. So..so I just want to make sure that you don't take any severe decision against your father which you regret later"

I laughed lightly but kept my eyes at my sward. "Do as you wish Archer but you acting like a old father"

"Cloud". Archer called out my name in irritation.

Finally I rolled my eyes and looked at him.

"What Archer?"

"Do you like Kaira or do you love kaira?". There was smug smile on his face.

He asked me out of the blue and..and I was not prepared. I.. I mean, I wasn't expecting that question.

I immediately fixed my eyes back to my sword and continued my work. But In reality I was totally got engrossed in her thoughts when he mentioned her name.

Archer threw a stone at me and I raised a brow. "What was that for Archer?".

He was pushing me.

"My answer! Don't you dare to dodge?". He smirked.

"Shut up Archer! Don't bother me". I said and trying to dodge again.

"Why don't you just accept?" He shrugged.

"What?" I Looked back at him again with my frawned face and put down my sward aside on the ground.

"That you like her as freind, as a person or you love her because.. Hmm....because you love her". He said after little thinking.

I laughed. "What's that?"

He shrugged. "Nothing".

"Ohh really! And what about you? Do you like jennifer or do you love jenifer?

Suddenly a dismal look crept in his eyes. "Yes I do like her as a person but I can't go further. She is normal person, she knows nothing about me, my magic and about our world. I always knew deep down we had no future Cloud".

He sighed. "Thats why I had always avoided her care and interest whenever she showed in me".

A feeling of melancholy descended on him and he looked down, and after a moment, he said. "Forget about me and Jennifer Cloud. You and Kaira are different".

"And it is said people go against everyone only when they are in love". He placed his both hands behind his head and leaned back on the rock.

"What do you want to say Archer. Say it clear for god sake. I'm already off mood". I also leaned back on rock and closed my eyes.

"Please Cloud don't be naive. Just confess it you love her and that was the reason you couldn't hear anything against her". He said.

"And I also know you are defying your father's order. You have asked a help from Eleanor and Winslet to protect Kaira. If I'm not wrong they are wizards of kingdom Novara. Didn't you?" His voiced filled with curiousity.

I didn't opened my eyes, I was still lying there.

"I'm just doing the right thing Archer and if it means I'm going against my father then I have no wards. I don't want to lose anyone anymore in my life whom I care".

"So..". He laughed.

"What so?" I said lightly.

What kind of care? it is love or just likeness? He smriked.

"You know Archer you are my really closest friend, whom I freely shared my thoughts and feelings".

"You are right! I don't want to accept the reality because I'm.. I'm afraid what if she would change? What if she would forget me after sometime?"

"Archer she's in different world and she's so preety anyone can fall for her. How long she'll wait for me. And I don't know what she thinks of me.. just as a friend, protector or...." I sighed and stopped.

After that there was a long pause between us. He took a long breath. "I can understand your insecurities Cloud but it means..Its clear like miror you are in love Dude?

Suddenly we both burst out into a laughter...."Edward really spoiled your tounge, d..don't use these words here Archer. I said between my laugh.

Archer also agreed with me. "Yes! I think you are right"

"But he was really very cordial and funny kid". He said.

I stopped. As I thought about my days which I had spend on earth.

"Archer I really do miss Kaira. I always felt a happiness around her. I really do miss her embraled green eyes and heart winning smile"

"And I don't know... when I'll see her again". I said with a wistful smile.

Archer didn't said and we lay there quitely.

I looked in the sky and thought.

"I don't know. How is she? What she is doing? Is she still crying?"

My heart ached when I remembered her teary red eyes.

ZINTA POV

I sat besides the river bank alone in a pensive mood because I can't lie to myself. I.. I was really upset. I was so upset when Cloud was talking about that girl.. Kaira! It was very first time I saw him going... going against his father just because of a girl.

Tears rolled down on my cheeks. I couldn't not lie to myself... I was.. I  was so envious of that girl. Like.. Like my chest was burning with fire.

I sighed.

"Cloud never talked about any girl before and never showed care for anyone expect me then... what so unique about that girl. How he can changed so much? Just within some days under her influence. I mean it is Cloud, whom I'm talking about. He never believe in love....Love!... No!! He can't fall in love with some... another random girl. No!!" I closed my ears I didn't want to here my inner voices.

Tears streaming down on my face. I never felt these feelings before because.. Because I was never in any fear. I..I always thought Cloud was mine and he promised he would always protect me and I would be always his priority"

"I was told since childhood that we both reincarnated again in this world. I knew that Cloud never believed in these things. But we were always happy and smile together".

Then.. then what happened all of sudden.

"Now thinking of Cloud with another girl made me so sad, hurt and furious".

KAIRA POV

We were all in my living room and we had done everything. Room was glittering with blue and white lights, red and white baloons were scattered everywhere on the floor. Stage was ready with my favourite song.

Early in the noon when I returned home with my friends from the college. I quickly entered into the kitchen, I formed a high ponytail and washed my hands properly. After that I totally got absorbed in my work. I had to complete my unfinished cake.

And the rest decoration part of the living room I left on my freinds.
Derek and Max did a great job, entire room was decorated with blue and white lights in a very beautiful pattern. Jenny and Jennifer wrapped all the gifts.

We placed all food, drinks, cake and gifts on the dining table and started waiting for them. As colck was about to click 6:30 we switched off the lights, closed all curtains and unlocked the door.

We all got hide. Jenny and Derek hid under the table, me and Jennifer was behind couch and Max hid behind the door.

Well usually my parents returned home till the 5:00 or 5:30 and my brothers had no fixed time. But today I told them.. that they had to reach at 6:30 pm sharply, neither before nor later. Because I had something important which I have to share with them.

But... to scare them like hell. I called everyone in my most depressed voice as I could make.

Soon we heard some whispers outside the house but it was more sounded like some scared voices. We were all holding back are laugh.

As they entered I heard my mother called my name with her shivering voice... "K..kaira h.honey wher..."

It was dark but we know what we had to do. We all together shouted.. "Waaaaaaaaaa...."

My family also shouted with us scarily... "Waaaaaaaaa...."

Max quikly moved to the switched on the lights, he extend his both hands but considently he touched someone or two, he didn't sure.

Again.... loud screams filled the entire room "Waaaaaaaa......"

And then a sharp thud voice echoed.

Derek switched on the lights and we saw Lane and Edward were falling on the floor at each other.

We looked sartled at them for a moment then we all burst out into a fit of laughter.

They both shouted together because mistakely Max touched their backs in the dark and they got scared.

We all shouted...." Surprise".
But we were still laughing and clutched our stomachs.

"Ohhhh My God!!!"

"That was..haahaa.. that was really hilarious Edward.. Lane".

"Y..you both sh.houted as if... as if you got touched by a dracula". I said between my laugh.

Lane and Edward growled and looked embarrased.

June and Jhonathan were also laughing at the top of their lungs like they got insane.

Mom and my dad were also holding back their smile. They looked around.

"What is this honey. It's.. It's so pretty". My mom said.

I clapped my hands, it my surprised party for you.. all.

My mom hugged me and their was tears in her eyes ...."Thank you Kaira".

My mom and dad cut the cake and I was really feeling proud. And I really made a very delicious chocolate cake.

I gave them their gifts and insisted them to open on my birthday which was two or three days later.

My mother and father danced on my favourite song "a thousand years".

But later Edward changed the song "Shut up and dance with me".

Edward, jennifer, Max, Derek and Jenny all were dancing like crazy people with their funny dance moves. I was also dragged on the stage by Lane and Jhonathan.

It was really a heart worming moment for me I always wanted to have fun like that.. with my friends and family.

I was really happy at that moment and... I was also happy to see my family enjoying after a long time.

And .. Suddenly someone held my hand, I looked back and I was surprised to see it was Max. He was smiling and all sudden again he pulled me towards him.

Again a strange feeling crept into me like..like he was upto something but I Jarked all those thoughts away and shut my mind. We all danced there so long.

It was really a great moment of my life and I enjoyed it's every seconds.

I had totally zoned out in my thoughts. I turned around and for a minute.. because I was thinking...

I was thinking about Cloud ... I  was thinking as if I was with him but as I looked at the eyes of the person who was in front of me ...then a realization came over me. No!!

It was not Cloud! These were not those deep blue eyes which I wanted to see. It was Max.

A surge of pain ran through my body, I held back my pickering tears.

I immediately walked down the stage and Clapped.

"Hello everyone!! listen"

And as I got their attention. I said with a forced big smile.

"I give up everyone... I can't dance anymore. let's go and taste mouth watering food".
