My father looked at me coldly and asked.

"So that means you can put your kingdom on high risk just to save a girl?"

I was frankly incredulous when I heard my father because he was blaming Kaira, like it was all done because of her.

"Father nothing happened from a decade. There was peace and harmony in our kingdom and also in our neighboring kingdoms".

"So I thought there shouldn't be any risk If I'll go out for a couple of weeks. There was nothing suspicious at that time".

"And I said you father it was the first time ever Windalen asked me anything. I really intended to fulfill his wish.

"So it was not at all because of Kaira". I emphasised.

My father clinched his jaws.

"But Cloud everyone only remember the end result. And you have been failed in your duty".

"Father I.. I do accept being the chief of army I should be here that time"

"But I do believe that there are insiders among us who are involved with demons. And these are the people who are helping our enemies by passing the important informations of every seconds".

"Father we should give a thought, it's really fishy, they attacked quitely when all the kingdoms are buzzy in celebrations. We all are celebrating festivals and events so it is obvious we will let down our guards during this time. But a question is arrived that how our enemies get to know all these informations".

I cleared my point by giving the facts.

"If that's so. I think Windalen is the one who got involved with demons".

Adam imposed a blame on Windalen which was an insult of him. Windalen was the most loyal person I had ever met. I knew Adam never liked Windalen. He thought Windalen never used his power at right place. Adam never accepted him as his god father.

I stared him.

"Brother think twice when you are talking about Windalen. He is supposed to be our God father".

My brother leaned forward in his chair and raised an eyebrow.

"Then where is he? Ha".

"Maybe he is in trouble that's why he is not here with us". I defended him.

"Ohh if that so then Cloud stop throwing your failures on others. Be a gentleman and accept your mistakes. You are not accepting Cloud it was all just because of that girl. Don't try to avoid father's question".

Adam said in his harsh tone.

"I'm not avoiding anything brother I'm just telling the truth. I'm completely sure. Definitely they have used the hidden paths that's why no one got their movement at all".

"And it can be happen only in one condition, if someone told them about these hidden paths".

"Yes, it's true my absence worked as a golden opportunity for them. But father it is not kaira's fault! She doesn't know anything, she didn't ask my protection. I was the one who went to her".

It was the very first time in my entire life so far when I really tried to speak up infront of my father and said what was in my mind because I..I just couldn't restrain myself this time.

"It may be, there is possibility of that Cloud".

"May be there are people among us who are now got involve with them but it's your work to find them, erase them and save your country. Isn't Cloud".

"Now go to the kingdom Aureliya and fulfill your duties. Don't forget I want positive results and nothing else".

"Only positive!!"

"Do you understand Cloud? And don't let down your father ever again" My father warned me.

I rolled my eyes to my father and fisted my palms into a ball.

"Don't worry father you'll get only positive results".

"Only positive, it is my word to you".

A very slight proudy smirk floated on my father's lips.

"You should be Cloud, after all my blood is running through your veins so you don't have any other choice besides getting success".

"Father I have a request before going".
I said.

"What?"

My father's voice sounded annoyed as if he wasn't interested in anything elses.

"Father would you please send few wizards on earth and can provide protection to Kaira. She's not safe there".

I requested my father and hoped he would accept my request because usually I don't request anything.

"Didn't you remember what I said before? We have nothing to do with the people of earth" My father said nonchalantly.

"But father she's an ancient gaurdian we should rescue her". I said in my agitated voice.

My brother said sarcastically. "If I'm not wrong".

"Didn't you say just now brother that she's .. the ancient gaurdian?"

"Then she should be capable to protect herself".

I was getting angry but I tried my best not to lose my control over my brother.

"But, she didn't know how to use it. Nobody ever teaches her" I argued back.

"Then she's definitely useless. Why we should care then?"

My brother crossing one leg high over the other arrogantly".

"Why are you thinking so much about that girl? Did you think once about Zinta before leaving to Earth?". My father glared me.

I took a step forward because my father was wrong. "Father Zinta was with you in her homeland Noldor so I was completely relaxed she was in safe hands and safe place".

I was not getting why my father trying to prove that I didn't care about Zinta anymore because he was totally wrong. I cared a lot for Zinta.

My father shouted at me.
"Don't be fool, you shouldn't think about that girl. You are prince, a royal blood. Just understand the gravity of a prince. You are not supposed to have a relation or a link with a commoner specially from earth. It will ruined our reputation among others".

My father didn't stop, he continued his harsh tounge. "You know what Cloud you are just like your mother. All of your decisions derives by your heart instead your mind which just shows only your weakness".

My eyes got teary."Yes you are right father I'm just like my mother and I love this fact and I proud of her". I said every word slowly and clearly.

My father's seemed now fuming with anger. "One thing remember very clearly Cloud. You had given a promise to Zinta that she will be always your priority, her safety will be always your priority. Didn't you? She is an important person in your life so stop caring about an ancient gaurdian, who is good for nothing".

My father's bitter words felt like venom dipped arrow which really gave me uncured wounds deep into my heart.

I was so hurt and I was thinking.
"How can my father speak so disrespectfully about my mother. She was a lovely person, always took the wise decision in her life. She had always choosed others over herself. And t.tat's.. that's why she's not with me".

"And Kaira, she is just like my mother, a selfless ancient gaurdian. If she wanted, she could I asked me to stay with her or she could beg me for her own protection. But no!! She didn't because she knew me. She understands my responsibility. How can my father use such words for her".

My breath was raising up, I looked first time ever in my life straight into my father's eyes and locked it with his.

"I think that's why you never accept my mother as your wife. Isn't it father?"

My sudden words caught my father Completely off guard.

I didn't care if my father seemed me now as a rebellion but he should know.

He should know, he couldn't talk about my mother and about Kaira like..like they have no value.

"Father I'm not pure royal. I'm also having half ancient gaurdian blood in my veins and that's make me a commoner". I wanted to tell him I really proud of my mother.

"And I very well remember my promise father. Zinta is an important person in my life and her safety is always my priority but it is also true I do care about Kaira".

I said and quickly turned around without listening my father's response because I knew if I stayed there little longer, I didn't hold back myself and it might lead further going against my father.

I heard my brother growled.

"Cloud you can't walk off, we are not done yet".

"See father..see how Cloud have been change after meeting that girl". My brother was furiously accusing Kaira and it was really ridiculous because he didn't know anything about her.

I walked out and didn't turn back not a single time.

I heard Zinta apologied for my behavior and requested my father don't bother about her.

I took a long breath. "I know somewhere unknowingly I hurt Zinta which I never wanted but....but today I needed to stand for those whom I care. I couldn't stand quitely anymore".

"I.. nomore wanted to be my father's perfect son. Now I just want to be 'A good person'. Who can stand for others, who can stand for truth".

KAIRA POV

I was doing breakfast and felt like everyone's eyes in my direction.

"What?" I forced a laugh and looked over them.

"Are you alright Kaira. Aren't you?" Lane asked me with great concerned.

"Yeah! 100%". I gave him a cheeky smile.

"Well yesterday you seemed so much depressed". He asked in a worried tone.

"W..what!!

No!!"

"What are talking about I was not depressed. I was j..just little missed them. But I'm fine now. Don't worry I understand one day they had to go back.

"Really?" Edward asked suspiciously

I burst into a loud laugh.

"Ohhh my god!!"

"Hahaha...."

My brothers acting like old worried nany. Guys I'm perfectly fine".

"Don't worry!!"

I wiped my tears which stung at the corner of my eyes.

Jhonathan seemed relaxed. "Well happy to see you again smiling, we were really worried because you were not in yourself yesterday".

"Jhonathan I told you I'm fine now."

"Okey buy!! getting late".

I gave them a smile and stepped out on the way to college.

KAIRA POV

"Ohhhh My God!! Derek that's really funny".

My laugh was so loud that everybody was looking at me with there frawned faces.

As usual Derek was doing mimicry of his psychology teacher and I just couldn't hold my laughter.

"Kaira what's wrong with you. Today you seem kindda odd. Everything is okey!"

Jennifer asked me when we were siting in the cafeteria, having lunch and after that we were ready to leave.

I wave a hand.

"Ohh C'mon Jennifer don't act like my brothers. I'm perfectly fine".

"I just super happy, finally today is my surprise party". I pouted at her.

"Yeah!! Maybe you right. But I was little concerned you are laughing like crazy since morning".

"Jennifer you kn..". I could complete my sentence before that Max voice boomed out of nowhere.

"Kaira this is bad! You didn't invite me!! It means...you don't consider me as your friend".

And dramatically threw a hand on his heart. "You really broke my heart kaira"

I laughed at his drama. "Max how long are you going to pursue Romeo's role, drama is over, long ago".

His face lit up with happiness. "Yeah, you remember!! I saw you in the audience and you don't know how much I was happy see you there".

"How was my acting? He asked

"Superb". I smiled.

"She's right bro!". Derek agreed

"Really!!". His eyes were twinkling

"Really max". I said.

And suddenly, I recalled something which... I didn't want to. I looked down and closed my eyes for a second and controlled all my emotions.

I looked up at him.

"Well Max!!"

"You are my friend".

"And yes! Sure you are invited also". I said genuinely because he was really my good friend.

But I was feeling strange because Max looked so happy as if he won a jackpot

B..b.but why?

I was already buried under so many issues and I didn't want to add anything more. So.. I shrug off all my suspicions.

I saw a huge smile was on Max face upto his cheek. "Thanks"

"Your welcome". I lightly smiled back.

I looked over my friends and threw my back on my shoulder

"let's go guys otherwise we wouldn't manage on the time".
