Sera was a biologist and she was working on some severe genetic diseases, caused by the some rare genetic disorders in human body. She was an eminent researcher and that was the reason she got an offer by a secret agency of Government at such young age. They offered her to work with them on their special secret project.

But they told her very clearly, they had some terms and conditions and if she wanted to grab that opportunity, she had to accept and follow strictly those terms and conditions.

According to their conditions, first she would have to work at their secret place. Second, she would have to stay over there for almost three months. Third, during that whole time she would be completely detached from the outer world. No phone. No mobile. Nothing. Even she wouldn't allow to meet or see her family members.

Sera really wanted to accept that rare opportunity and wanted to do something really challenging. For her It was like a dream come true. But it was not easy to grab while it was a quite difficult decision for her because she would have to leave her four small kids and husband for three months without any contact. It wasn't easy. So firstly she wanted to talk to her husband, David.

It was the time when kaira was not borned yet. But the place where Sera was going to work. That place.. that place was going to show a strong connection with Kaira's birth.

It was the destiny which creating all by its way because everything had to happen the way it was already decided to happen .

It was morning time and Sera was in the kitchen, it was not large but enough spacious.

Sweet sound of birds chirping freely flowing in from the garden through wide open windows, curtains were pulled on sides, sunrays were falling on the tiles of the floor, made them even more shiny and soon heavenly fresh morning breez filled the whole kitchen.

Sera was preparing breakfast but there was something which was constantly working in the back of her mind. There was something important that she wanted to tell David.

Sera was in her early thirties, she had slim body physique and around 5"5" in height. She had sharp facial features with sharp nose and soft red lips. Her eyes were light blue in colour like ocean and eyelashes were long and thick. She was a beautiful woman and her skin was flawless and pale like snow. Her long, shiny brown hairs were freely flowing on her back and shoulders, enhancing her beauty.

Sera leaned on the kitchen platform and hesitately called out...."David"

Her heart was pounding against her chest, she was restlessly waiting for David to look at her. She was very nervous at that moment.

David sat on one of the chair which were set around the dining table. He was enjoying the morning coffee and reading newspaper. He was tall around 5 "11" and had fit slender body. His black hair was still damp from the shower and that made him even more attractive. David was also in his early thirties and he was a great socialist and ran many NGO's.

David turned back and smiled at her.

"What is it? Honey what happened".

He said lovingly, there was so much love for her in his voice.

"David I got an opportunity for my carrier but I would have to go for three month for this project". She said softly but didn't look into his eyes while looking down on the floor nervously.

He gasped and stared at her with a pair of dark brown eyes which were framed with long lashes. His dark brown eyes were shining light in colour under the sun light.

Sera told him so sudden that he couldn't process for a minute. David was not ready for that and that's why he seemed shocked. He didn't get words to speak.

David knew very well how much Sera loved her work. And he didn't want to act like a possessive husband who wanted to control her wife's life
and carrier. He didn't want to do or say anything that could hurt her feelings.

But It was really a tough decision for him and yes, it was also true that he was sad internally but he decided to hide them all and let her go.

Sera's breath caught in the throat, she was quietly looking at him, reading his reaction.

David took a long sigh and walked upto her and held her hands in his.

"It's alright honey, don't worry. I will manage everything here, so you just go and do your best".

And he gave her a comforting smile, wanted to show that everything was fine. But David realised Sera was still looking nervous and worried, perhaps there was something she was hiding that made her stressed.

That was really true, there was something in her mind. She was thinking and debating herself whether she should tell him or not.

"If I tell him... May be David wouldn't let me go". She sighed but couldn't decide.

She was looking straight in his eyes, she was dwelling. There was a guilt she had into her eyes because she felt she was doing wrong.

David softly cuped her face in his hands and deeply looked into her eyes.

"What happened honey? What's wrong with you? Why are you so tensed? I told you I'll manage. So don't worry?".

Sera locked her gaze with his and said under her breath in a low, cracked voice.

"I..I'm go..going on a secret project on a secret place f..for three months".

Her voice laced with emotions.

"A..and during these three months no one can not contact me. N..n.no one can not meet me not even kids".

David got silent and blanked. He seemed lost because heartly, he was not really ready to let her go that far away from him. He was scared for her because it could be dangerous.

He closed his eyes he wanted to say no.. but he made himself strong.

He seriously looked back at her face.

"Promise me. Promise me You'll be fine, you'll never put yourself in any danger. If you don't feel okey, just quit right there, don't care about consequences, we will face them together."

"I'll be always with you. Okey!".

With her teary eyes she nodded.

"I promise..I promise I will. I love you so much. I'm nothing without you".

David pulled her into his warmed embrace and kissed her...."I love you too sweetheart your my life, just be safe".

A week later she got a call, she was explained by them that first she would have to come head office and then from there, the whole team would leave to their secret destination place.

After said goodbye to her family when Sera was approaching towards head office. She was feeling a kind of heaviness in her heart and that was growing with every passing seconds.

With heavy heart she reached at the head office at the right time. She found there was a team of 20 people. Majority of them were men only six were women including her. On a private plane they all together took off towards an unknown place.

Around after 4 hours flight they finally arrived at their base. It was a place in the middle of the forest.

Surrounding forest was deep and very dense. It was a restricted area, no one was allowed to go outside the base because it might be dangerous.

Soon, entire team started working there. Whole day they worked hard and after dinner they quitely moved towards their rooms. No one talked much with each other.

Sera had a roommate Jade, she had a reserved personality. She worked the whole day in lab then quitely came back to room and straightly went to her bed.

But Sera didn't get sleep early, most of the time she woke till mid night. She always felt an uneasiness there.

One night she was sitting on a chair and trying to focus on her book. She was trying to focus again and again but everytime she failed.

Suddenly a cold breeze in through windows, having a pleasant aroma with it, touched her cheeks and passed through her brown hairs.

She didn't understand why? Why she was completely fascinated with that aroma. She stood up and walked to the window.

She looked outside. Outside scenery was mesmerising, under the moon light forest looked amazing. She took a long breath and surprisingly felt relief immediately. That aroma really lowered her uneasiness.

She didn't realized how long she was standing there, looking at the forest. It was late. She looked over the wall, clock was ticking 12.

She sighed.

She went back and lay in the bed. That night she tossed and turned in her bed. Her sleep was interrupted again and again by some strange and terrifying nightmares.

Sera was in the lab with jade, they both were busy in their works.

Sera quitely walked upto Jade and asked a question. "Hye jade! Did you sleep well yesterday?

"Ya! I slept well yesterday. Why are you asking me? Didn't you?" Jade questioned with raised eyebrows.

"No. Ohh! I mean, I just saw some strange dreams". Sera scratched her head with a baffling smile.

"Perhaps.... I took so much stress of work". Sera said.

"It's Okey. Don't worry, It happens sometimes on a new place". Jade said with a small smile.

Sera press her lips in a straight line and nodded."I guess you are right".

They both again got buzzy in their Works. Sera thought. "I think jade was right, it is all because of this new place".

Every night she was facing the same problem. She thought this way might get sick .

She rolled her eyes from the book to the window. She didn't realized. When? How? She stood up and walked to the window.

As if slowly, she used to of it.

As if slowly, she had been hypnotised by that forest and its beauty.

That night once again she slept restlessly. That night she saw a beautiful dream which soon turned into a nightmare. She saw.

There was a dence forest, having so much greenery everywhere, so many colourful flowers blossomed there, everywhere. Sky was clean. It was a shiny sunny day. Birds were chirping and butterflies were flying.

Sera ran after those those butterflies. She was trying to catch them and after running for a while, she ended up near a Lake.

Lake was huge like sea and shining like mirror under the sun light. It was looking beautiful and had a hypnotic green colour. She walked at the lake because she wanted to see it closely.

As she reached there, she saw entire colour of lake changed and turned into blood-red. All the butterflies which were flying over that lake a second before now got burned in the air. And soon entire lake filled with their ashes.

Sera was terrified to see that sight. She wanted to leave that place immediately. When she turned, the blood drained from her face.

She found all greenery had gone and blood was spread everywhere. There were swords, coloured with blood, spreading all over the deserted place now. Sky turned dark, seemd like a fierce strom was about to come.

The whole scenery now had changed into a destructive one.

Suddenly a loud voice penetrated her ears, causing pain in her head. Sera started feeling headache, she tightly closed her both ears but that voice kept hiting her eardrums badly.

In real, she was sweating and whispering on her bed. She was completely wet and clutched the bedsheet tightly into her fist. Her veins swelled, her facial expression was like she was in pain.

Jade woke up by her wisphers. She shoved her shoulder but Sera didn't get up.

Jade was constantly calling her name and shaking her shoulders. After few minutes Sera opened her eyes with a shock. She was looking tormented and scared, her hand were deadly cold.

"Sera..Sera what happened?"

"Are you alright?"

"Did you see a nightmare again?" Jade worriedly asked

Sere shuddered with thought of that nightmare.

"I.I..had a dream that was very horrible. That..that was very disturbing".

Jade rubbed her back, made her calm. She gave her a glass full of water.

Jade sighed.

"It's fine no need to worry, Sera. You know what, you are taking so much pressure of work. Today you had worked all the day even after your work shift. That's why you have completely exhausted".

"And also I think it is because of surrounding forest. Definitely these are the reasons, you are seeing nightmares. It's not a big deal Sera. Okay! It happened some time. So calm down, don't think much and close your eyes, try to get sleep. You know next day we have so much work. Aren't We?".

Sera took long breath. "Yeah I know"

Jade gave her a comforting smile.
Sera smiled back. "Ya you are right Jade perhaps this is all because of work load and the surrounding" .

Jade switched off the lights and they both lay in their bed again.

But Sera was terribly scared, she knew stress was not good for her health also not at all for someone else.

She thought. "Did I make a mistake? Maybe I shouldn't come here. If something happened what I'll explain David".

There was a secret which she hid from David and for that secret she was really feeling guilty.

But she wanted a clarity of her dreams. She couldn't live like that, she had a gut feeling that her dreams had some link with the surrounding forest.

So she woke up early in the morning and found a lamp from the store room and quietly Walked outside into the deep dark forest.

Inside the forest she felt a feeling of sorrow, her head became heavy. As she entered inside the core her eyes landed on a lake....A green lake and the next thing happened to her, she got unconscious and fell on the ground .
