Title: Limerence

It’s a book of poetry, so the title works..

Cover: I’m not sure how fitting it is for poetry since I kinda imagine another travel story, vut the font is nice and so are the flowers and I’m by no means an expert in poetry. I just feel it would work better without a character or with a reading/writing character on the cover.

Story: Before we get started, I’m not an expert in poetry. English is not my native language and while I could do a very good literary analysis on a poem in my language, in English… eh, not so much. In my language, all poetry must rhyme. Or at least have rhythm.

With that in mind, I think I read about five or six of your poems. You do a good job at putting feelings across, that’s for sure. And I liked the themes of your poems. The first one, about the internet friend is something a lot of people could relate to, for instance.

That being said, the structure bothered me a little. And not because they didn’t rhyme. But because some verses did rhyme and other didn’t and there was no noticeable pattern to that. And because the verses all had different length and structure, I couldn’t find a rhythm. And, honestly, it bothered me because it was hard for me to read them out in a certain way to make them sound like poems.
That being said… yeah, I don’t know what else to say, I couldn’t write poetry to save my life.

But as a reader, I felt my experience with them was a little bitter because of what I mentioned above.

Overall, I enjoyed your message, not so much the way you delivered it.
