Music Camp

When I was 6 years old, I went to music camp at my local music school. The first thing everybody did there was sing their names according to the notes on the staff starting with low do and ending at high re. I sang mi. Next, we worked on playing Lightly Row. Lightly Row was an easy song, but the teacher, Mrs. Yen, made it more challenging. We worked on it all by ourselves. I was very proud of myself. After 15 minutes of working on Lightly Row, it was time for snack. "Finally!" I exclaimed. I had chocolate covered strawberries for snack. After snack, Mrs. Yen announced that we would be working on a song called 'Ode To Joy' and she said that we would need to find a partner and we would be playing the song on the final day of camp. I buddied up with a girl named Shreya. After a few days of practicing, the song turned out awesome and the next thing I knew, it was time to play 'Ode To Joy' in front of 50 people for the very first time. At 7:00, people started showing up and the concert began. Emma and Danny were first. Next came Adam and Rachel. Both of the groups did really well, but now it was time for Shreya and I to perform. The song sounded beautiful! And I think I even heard someone call out "Encore!". After us,

May, Juliet and David. I would say they did well too. After the concert, there were refreshments. "Of course!" I muttered to myself. I ate and then I went home. When I got home, my mom showed me an email. It was from Mrs. Yen. The email said I did phenomenal at the concert. I will never regret going to music camp!
