Shizhi Jiazu Cai Carter 'Cart' Zixin Xiaobo: (Note- first two are part of his paternal given name, the third is his maternal surname which he uses most often, rest are his given names) A boy who aspired to become the next Magus Maximus. He specializes in fire spells which he combines with the martial arts he learned from his brother-in-law.

Makkuroyama Kuroriku Nate 'Nat' Sousuke: Younger brother of Hideo, Silas, and Alex. He hides his true identity from the Xelerians to avoid being looked down on for his Zionian blood. Has a multitude of elements at his disposal.

Wang Huoyin 'Huo': A Seran boy who grew up in the orphanage that Sarah's family served as patrons of. Twin brother of Scarlet and big brother of Noe. Is indebted to Hal and Iah for having saved his life and those of his siblings. He likes to think of things in a logical manner, even when it might seem illogical to do so.

Aurelius 'Au' Olivarius Villan: A young boy from another continent. He loves to adventure. As free-spirited as the wind at his disposal.

Ouyang Lidia 'Lid': A Seran girl and fellow orphan of Huo. In contrast to her frowning 'brother', she is joyful. Likes to dress nicely. According to Sarah, she's a tech-wiz.

Kinsei Kanja: Kanja is a young girl from Tora with a troubled past. Uses her metal magic to make quick getaways.

Mira: A mysterious person in armor. True nature is a mystery.

Tamara 'Tammy': As mysterious as Mira some of her peers would say. She loves reading books and eating delicious food. Is a very cheerful and outgoing girl, although can be a bit shy when first interacting with people. Has a curiosity that sometimes gets her into trouble.

Jude Cantarella: Hal's shy little brother. Rather spend his free time reading than going out with friends. While mature, he hides a childish side. Skipped two grades.

Liu Ling: Loyal servant to the High Priestess of Xian. According to Adela, she can be a bit uptight. Like Xianians of her age, she has three elements of magic.

Xaoling Robert 'Rob': Carter's childhood best friend. He is a cheerful and jocular boy.

Enkai: An easy going member of the shark branch of the Kyuu Hyaku clan. Best friends with Shuai. Considered one of the strongest of the upcoming class of first years.

Shuai: An aspiring dancer. Has some connection to Ling and her brother, Renshu. Can be quite the flirt.

Toshiro Hiraka: An avid dancer. Is a young man of few words. A hard worker and popular with the ladies, but unlike Shuai, doesn't give them much heed.

Jinpei: Best friend of Katsuo. One of the upcoming first years. Loves to dance and have fun. He and Katsuo make an unlikely pair of friends.

Katsuo Kurokawa: Is shy and kind. He is best friends with Jinpei since they were kids. Ever since, Jin has helped him break out of his shell bit by bit.
