[Time Skip, Three Weeks]

I sat at my desk as I loaded my new revolver/sword. Alex was sharpening his sword and Scarlet was loading in a new canister of compressed dust into her wasp knife. Tonight was the night we were finally going out to investigate the White Fang activity with Roman. At the moment Jill was investigating something she wanted to check out on her own, so we decided to get ready while we waited for her.

Scarlet: "So what happens if we catch Torchwick?"

Me: "I suppose we turn him over to the police."

Alex: "Are you really okay with that?"

Me: "Of course. We used to be best friends, but even so you have to accept the consequences for your actions when your caught."

Scarlet: "That's rich coming from you."

Me: "Hence why I never got caught."

The door suddenly opened and in walked Jill.

Me: "Find what you were looking for?"

Jill: "Yeah. There's a White Fang rally tonight."

Me: "Sounds like that could be a good start, but I doubt they'll let humans just walk in there."

Scarlet: "So that means..."

Me: "Jill would have to go in alone. Think you'd be okay doing that?"

Jill thought for a moment then nodded.

Me: "Don't worry, I'll stick around just in case something goes wrong. I'll stay out of sight."

Scarlet: "Alex and I will be heading to one of my old family friend's house. They work for the police as an investigator so he could have a lead on Roman."

Me: "Alright, be sure to keep your scrolls handy just in case."

Scarlet: "Right."

Me: "Well, if everyone's ready, let's get this thing started."

[Time Skip, To Vale]

I watched from a rooftop as Jill approached the White Fang that guarded the door to the warehouse the meeting was in. She was handed a mask and motioned to go inside. Once she was in I looked around. I noticed a sky light window on the roof of the warehouse and smiled.

Me: 'Way too easy.'

I hopped off the roof and snuck over to the side of the building. I then dispersed into smoke and went up the wall, reforming on the roof. I made my way over to the sky light and slowly opened the window so I could hear what was going on. I saw that Roman was there on the stage giving a speech. He gave a speech that spoke of taking down those in power, military, government, even the academies. Suddenly the sheet behind him fell, revealing an Atlas Palidin, the newest model. I quickly pulled out my scroll and took a picture of it. After a bit more of a speech new White Fang recruits were told to move to the front, towards the stage.

Me: 'Oh shit. I hope Jill thinks of a way out otherwise-'

Suddenly there was a gunshot and the lights went out.

Me: "What the hell?"

I heard a window smash so I rushed to the side of the building and saw Blake and the blonde monkey faunas from three weeks ago run from the building.

Me: "Looks like they had the same idea as us."

Suddenly the Atlas paladin crashed through the wall and ran after Blake and her friend. Jill came running out of the hole and started to follow after them. I hopped down from the roof and started to run after them only to be stopped by a small girl with pink and brown hair, matching eyes, and holding an umbrella. I raised my brow to her.

Me: "Need something little girl? I'm kinda in a hurry."

Suddenly she rushed me, using her umbrella to try and hit me. I turned into smoke and moved past her, once more running in the direction of the paladin. But the girl suddenly appeared in front of me and tried to hit me again by trying to kick in the side. I used my arm to block the kick and push her leg downward, following up with a roundhouse kick. She dodged by jumping backwards. We stood off for a moment until I pulled out my scroll. I then dialed Jill. I put my scroll to my ear and waited. The girl charged me again and kept trying to kick me or hit me with her umbrella, only to miss as I dodged each one effortlessly. Jill finally picked up.

Jill: "(Y/N)! Where are you, Scarlet, Alex and I are chasing the paladin and could use help."

Me; "Yeah, sorry but I'm a little occupied here. Be sure to stick together and capture Roman."

I said jumping over one of the small girl's kicks.

Jill: "Scarlet watch out! (Y/N) we could really use help here, Team RWBY is here too but they aren't doing so good, we're on the highway."

The girl swung her umbrella at me, which I countered by wrapping my arm around her's, holding her in place then kicking her away. I held her umbrella in my free hand and twirled it.

Me: "I'll be there as soon as I can. Stick with Team RWBY and listen to Ruby, she should be able to guide you pretty well. I'll wrap this up real quick."

I smirked at the girl, taunting her.

Scarlet: "Just hurry the hell up!"

She then hung up. I put my scroll away and put the girl's umbrella on my shoulder, tapping it slightly.

Me: "It's funny, just by the little interaction I've had with you, I can already tell your fighting style. You like to wait and counter, so making you attack is an easy way to win."

I walked forward slowly while still holding her umbrella. She gave me a death glare. I then smiled and shot forward tossing her umbrella and catching it at the top. I then hooked the handle around her foot and yanked her off her feet. I then preformed a side kick which connected with her while she was still off of her feet and made her crash into a nearby wall. I then threw her umbrella at her feet and ran off. I pulled out my scroll and looked up the location of my team, once I knew where they were I ran as fast as possible, hopping on rooftops to avoid the streets. Once I got to the location, which was underneath a busy highway I saw Team RWBY and my team were facing off with the paladin. Roman didn't seem to spot me so I started to creep up on him sticking to his back. As soon as I got close enough I dispersed into smoke and reformed on top of the robot, holding onto it and grabbing my gun/sword hybrid.

Me: "Black Blood!"

Scarlet ran forward and jumped up onto the robot as it tried to shake me off. She stabbed her knife into the joint of the right arm then shot ice into it.

Me: "Reaping Angel!"

Scarlet jumped off of the robot and Alex ran forward. The paladin tried to move its right arm to punch Alex, but couldn't due to the ice that blocked it's joint. It then tried to swing it's other arm at him, I jumped down and blocked the punch with my sword. Alex took his sword into two hands and sliced the robot's arm off at the joint where the ice was. I pushed the robot's arm back and jumped back.

Me: "Grim Wolf!"

Jill used her semblance and covered the area in mist. I dispersed into smoke and began to circle around the paladin. Jill started to create illusions making the paladin swing wildly. I got behind the robot and reformed. I aimed at the robot's back and fired two shots, getting its attention. As it turned Scarlet ran forward and shot ice into the robot's right leg, then disappeared into the mist. Before the robot could react Jill ran forward and sliced the robot's leg off with her Khopesh. The robot wobbled a moment then fell over. I jumped on top of it and got to the pilot cockpit.

Me: "Alright Roman. Time to come out. Alex help me pry this tin can open."

Alex: "Right."

I jammed my sword into the side of the opening and Alex did the same to the other side. We then pried open the cockpit, revealing Roman who was stuck due to how the robot locks in.

Roman: "(Y/N), nice to see you again. Come to reconsider my offer?"

Me: "Hmm... Maybe another time."

I pulled him out of the cockpit.

Me: "Alright, someone call the-"

I dispersed into smoke as the girl with pink and brown hair appeared and tried to kick me. I reappeared by my team and faced Roman and his henchman.

Roman: "Well it's been fun ladies, gentlemen... Ice queen."

Weiss: "Hey!"

Roman: "Neo, if you would?"

The girl known as Neo bowed then looked up and smirked. I ran forward and slashed at the girl, only for her and Roman to shatter like glass. I sighed as I looked over at a bullhead with Roman and Neo on it as they flew away.

Me: "How the fuck didn't I see that?"

Team RWBY and the rest of my team walked forward and stood beside me as they flew off.

Yang: "Guess he got a new henchman."

Weiss: "Yeah, you could say she made our plans... Fall apart."

I slowly looked over to Weiss and shook my head.

Me: "Nope."

I started to walk off.

Weiss: "Oh come on!"

I pulled out my scroll to check the time. It was 1:15 AM.

Me: "Hey, anyone know a restaurant that's open this time of night?"

Scarlet: "I think there's a place a little way down town. Why?"

Me: "Because investigating a crime spree and fighting a giant robot is a lot of work."

Suddenly I heard someone's stomach growl really loudly. I looked over to Jill to see her face bright red. I chuckled.

Me: "I think Jill agrees with me."

Scarlet: "I guess I am a bit peckish. But as promised you're paying this time."

Me: "Fine by me."

I turned to Team RWBY.

Me: "You guys want to come?"

Weiss: "We should probably be heading back. It's really late."

Ruby: "Yeah.. Maybe next time."

I shrugged.

Me: "Your loss."

My team and I then started walking.

Scarlet: "So what's our next move? Roman got away."

Me: "Well did you find anything with your source?"

Scarlet: "Just that all dust robberies are only in Vale. And no matter what only dust is stolen."

Me: "Odd.... And you Jill?"

Jill: "Roman said something about an operation in the southeast. He said they were moving things down that way."

Me: "Looks like that's our next lead. If we're serious about this then we'll need to find a way down there. But, that's a problem for another day."
