Spencer catches himself looking around at the flashing of the ambulance and police lights all around him.

How in the world did they end up here? None of this makes sense. It's not fair.

All of this because Spencer took a wrong turn off the freeway in the middle of a rain storm, sending the SUV he and Y/N were in off the off ramp and into the ditch.

He felt the tears running down his face as he holds on tightly to you in the back of the ambulance as he looked out to the rest of the team as the EMT in the back of the ambulance with him and you shut the doors, the ambulance speeding off towards the nearest hospital.

Didn't they tell us

His mind flashes back to the conversation they were just having almost moments before it happened.

"Spence why does everyone keep telling us we rushed into things? How in the hell are they allowed to judge us?" Y/N says in relation to the snide comment from one of your aunts.

Spencer looked at you and flashed his amazing chocolate brown eyes at you as he said "Haven't you heard what becomes of curious minds? People like to talk about things they have no business sticking their noses into. Try to ignore it love, we're happy and that's all that matters."

You then smile at him and squeeze his free hand tightly "I love you, Fiancé."

You feel Spencer squeeze your hand back gently as to not hurt you, flashing a smile your way before looking back at the road and saying "I love you too, Fiancée"

The waiting room of the hospital is full with the team all waiting impatiently for the doctor to come out and tell them your condition.

Spencer can't handle how he got out fine and you... you're in serious condition... and it was all his fault.

That's all he could think about.

JJ places a gentle hand on Spencer's shoulder trying to get him to stop pacing around the waiting room, he obliges hesitantly and sits down between Penny and JJ who wrapped their arms around him, feeling their arms twisting around him as they all cried silently.

The doctor finally makes her way out to the waiting room they're seated in, Spence looking up hopefully.

"Who is here for Y/FN Y/LN?"

Spencer stands quickly as he says "I am... how is my Fiancée?"

The doctor looks over at Spencer and says "Y/N's vitals are stabilized now but they're in a coma. I don't know how long they will be out.. it could be a few hours or it could be days. You're all welcome to go into the room now, room 203."

Spencer mumbles a quick "Thank you doctor" before practically sprinting down the hall towards your room, his eyes scanning each door quickly before stopping in front of room 203.

Taking a deep breath he pushes the door open and walks in, sitting in the chair next to you and gently holding your hand before whispering "I'll wait for you as long as it takes just please don't leave me.."

It's been two days since the accident and Spencer hasn't left your side once. He talks to you in hopes you can hear him.

And you can, but you can't show him that. You're still trying to comprehend what's going on but knowing Spencer is right there with you, you know you'll be okay because the love you two have for each other is like some kind of magic.

It's like you fell into a rabbit hole and ended up in Wonderland all because of this man.

Spencer tells you it's been five days. He always lets you know what day it is, in hopes that if you can hear him you always know what's happening.

You keep thinking how you have to wake up for him, not wanting this Wonderland to end.

This isn't how this should end;

Spencer places a gentle kiss on your forehead before telling you "Please wake up soon baby... I-I need you I feel so alone without you. You're all I can think about. It's been seven days. A full week without hearing your amazing voice. I love you so much Y/N"

You feel a tear drop onto your shoulder, realizing that he must be crying you so badly wished you could tell him you hear him and you love him and that you're okay. But you still can't wake up. Why can't you wake up??

But there were strangers watching
And whispers turned to talking
And talking turned to screams.

The team all stood outside the room, looking in and watching the pair in the hospital room, whispering quietly about one of them.

"JJ we need to try to get him to eat, go home to shower and get some rest... I think you're the one he'll most likely listen to." Aaron says to her.

"I'll try Hotch but he barely wants to leave their side..." she says quietly before she walks to the door, taking a deep breath and turning the handle gently before walking in.

"Hey Spence..." she starts.

He looks up at JJ with a sad look on his face, looking like a lost puppy "Hi JJ" he mutters.

She walks over beside him and places a soft hand on his shoulder "Spence you should eat something... maybe go home and take a nice shower it's been a week since you've showered Y/N would want you to take care of yourself."

The second the words leave her mouth Spencer looks appalled, pushing her hand off his shoulder before almost screaming at her "NO! I will not leave Y/N's side! This is all my fault JJ I don't want to leave and then lose them!"

JJ takes a step back and softly says "I'm sorry Spence.. I was just trying to help"

Spencer's eyes then soften "I-I'm so sorry JJ... I didn't mean to yell at you... sleep deprivation and being without them is taking a toll on me but I can't leave them.."

JJ gives a sad smile and hugs him, saying to him "Will you atleast eat? And maybe take a shower in the bathroom here since there is one? Hotch has your go bag so you'd have a change of clothes."

Spencer looks over to you and sighs before nodding, taking the quickest shower so he can get back by your side, eating some take out the team got for him once he's done.

It's been nine days. Nine days without you. He doesn't know how much longer he can handle not seeing your deep E/C eyes. He holds your hand in his, laying his head on the side of your bed and drifting to sleep.

You try to squeeze his hand and for the first time in nine days you can. So you try opening your eyes, almost blinding yourself when you open your eyes to the bright hospital room as Spencer gasps.

"Oh my god Y/N you're awake! I've missed you so much! I-I thought I was going to lose you."

"I missed you too Spence" you reply hoarsely, weakly smiling at him. You try to lean up and kiss his cheek but you wince at the pain that shoots through you.

"Hey hey be careful, don't rush things you shouldn't be trying to move that quickly." He says before looking deeply into your E/C eyes with his chocolate brown ones.

"So... I'm okay? And you're okay?" you ask him, awaiting his answer.

He smiles at you with a big almost Cheshire Cat smile before saying "Yes baby, you're okay now. I'll take care of you and you'll be okay. And I'm okay, I didn't get injured in the accident." instantly calming all your fears with that smile you missed seeing so much.

Finally after another five days in the hospital Y/N and Spencer are able to go home, the doctors needing to monitor you to make sure you were stable to go home.

Spencer lets you open the door to your shared apartment that the both of you called home, all the lights coming on as you hear a loud "Welcome Home Y/N!" coming from the whole team.

You tear up and smile before running over to them as they pull you into a group hug.

You all spend some much needed time together before they all head home as it starts getting late, you and Spencer staying cuddled up on the couch tightly.

Content with each other's company, keeping each other close.

Not wanting that feeling of insanity that came with them not being able to hold the other to come back anytime soon.
