Y/FN Y/LN had just started working for the BAU and she was on her first case, they finally found the unsub hunting new mothers and their babies, saving the last family.

She had worked with Spencer most of the time, developing a small crush on her adorably dorky genius co-worker during the three weeks they were on the case.

Awhile after they got back from their flight Friday night after finishing the case Y/N was walking into the BAU break room not really paying attention until she bumped into a hard chest.

"I am so sorry, I wasn't watching where I was going." She mumbles with a sigh, looking up to notice Spencer.

"It's alright, I wasn't really paying attention either, don't worry about it, Y/N." He says with a smile.

That's when she notices the bow tie placed around his neck, it was red and black checkered and it looked like a really nice contrast to his plain white shirt, gray vest, and brown khaki pants.

"I like your bow tie Spencer." Y/N says with a smile.

"Thank you, it's one of my favorites. Also Hotch needs us in the round table room." Spencer tells her.

"Oh alright, thank you Spencer. I'll head that way now." Y/N says before parting ways with Spencer and heading to the round table room, finding her a seat quickly and awaiting everyone else.

The rest of the team filed in and took their seats and the last to join them was Aaron Hotchner, he closed the door behind him and started explaining what he wanted to tell everyone.

After the quick meeting Hotch had informed them that they much deservedly got the weekend off from work after the great job catching the guy on this latest case.

Y/N was ready to just go home and curl up on her couch to binge watch her favorite show the entire weekend, and maybe she'd invite Spencer since the two had become pretty good friends.

She starts her car and pulls out of the BAU parking lot before starting the short drive towards her apartment for the night.

When Y/N finally arrived at home she parks her car in her driveway and walks into her apartment before changing into pajamas and passing out in bed for the night shortly after.

The next morning around noon she woke up deciding that she wanted to start her show marathon, so still in her pajamas she grabs her phone off her bedside table and dials Spencer's number.

It rings for a few second before he almost immediately answers, "Hello, Spencer?"

Suddenly she hears the dial tone and notices the screen says the call had ended, Y/N blinks a couple of times before asking herself out loud, "Did Spencer Reid just hang up on me?"

Waiting a few minutes to see if he calls back to no avail she decides to call him again, chewing on her bottom lip as it rings once, twice, and then he picks up.

"Hey Y/N." The voice of Spencer says on the phone.

Still a bit dumbfounded she answers with, "Uh, hi Spencer, did you just hang up on me the first time I called you?"

"I hung up on you?" Spencer asks her.

"Yeah... I called you to ask something you answered almost immediately and just hung up." Y/N answers as she still chews on her lip.

"Sorry I hung up on you, I didn't mean to answer the call. I just assumed I pocket dialed you so I ended it quickly in case you were sleeping in." Spencer explains to her.

"Oh, that's okay Spencer. I was just really confused at first." Y/N says with a soft laugh.

"So you said you wanted to ask me something?" Spencer questions.

"Yeah! I wanted to see if you're not busy would you like to come over and binge watch my favorite show all day with me, I was going to myself but I didn't really want to binge alone." Y/N tells him.

"I'm not busy I was going to do the same thing, it'd be better watching with someone. I'll be over in an hour with snacks." Spencer says through the phone with a smile on his lips.

"Awesome! Sounds like a plan, see you soon Spencer." Y/N says before the two hang up.

Finally she stands up from bed and tosses her phone onto it before she gets up to change out of her pajamas, throwing on jeans and her favorite shirt along with a pair of Halloween socks on her feet since she didn't plan on leaving the house.

While waiting on Spencer Y/N leaves her room and heads into her living room, getting Netflix pulled up on her television before finding Stranger Things, wanting to re-binge the first season before watching the second season that had just came out.

Almost immediately after she hears her doorbell ring and she tosses the remote on the couch before yelling a quick, "Coming!"

The face of Spencer Reid with bags of snacks in his hands is the sight she's greeted with, a smile on his face, "Come on in Spencer, we're watching Stranger Things, I hope you don't mind."

Walking through the door Spencer drops the bags of snacks on the couch before answering, "That's actually exactly what I was going to watch. The new season just came out."

"Yes! This is going to be so much fun." Y/N replies, sitting on the couch and taking all the snacks out of the bag and placing them on the coffee table in front of them.

The two had just finished the first season in its entirety and were taking a short bathroom break before starting the second season.

Spencer finally sat back on the couch, taking this as his time to finally ask her why she's been acting differently in the last few days.

"Hey Y/N?" Spencer asks her.

"Yeah Spencer?" Y/N replies.

"Why have you been acting a bit differently around me the past few days?" Spencer says, biting his cheek unnoticeably hoping that Morgan hadn't told her of his developing crush on her.

"Uh, what do you mean Spencer?" Y/N asks, hoping that he would have just avoided the fact that she has been trying to not be around him as much all the time because her feelings were developing way too fast for her liking, knowing Spencer would probably never feel the same.

"You haven't been around as much. It's almost like you're avoiding me." Spencer says with a sigh, running a hand through his perfect hair.

"I haven't tried to. I just - I was kind of hoping you'd, you know, fall in love with me. But I figured you never would so I tried to lessen my feelings to not ruin the friendship." Y/N rambles out quickly, biting her bottom lip once she finished.

"And what if I told you I felt the same way?" Spencer said with a glint in his eye.

"Wait what? Do you really?" She asks, looking into his eyes.

"Yes, I do." Spencer answered honestly.

"For how long?" Y/N asks, her eyes seeming to light up brightly at his words.

"Since I laid my eyes on you. I couldn't stop staring and then I met you and started slowly falling in love with you." Spencer explains to her, taking her hands in his not even minding one bit.

"I feel the same way Spencer, I'm so glad I got the job at the BAU or I may have never even met you." Y/N says to him.

"Would it be too soon to ask you to be my girlfriend?" Spencer questions her nervously.

"No it's not at all, I'd love to be your girlfriend Spencer." Y/N says with a huge smile on her face.

"In that case, may I kiss you?" Spencer asks, checks turning slightly red.

"Of course you can Spencer." Y/N says, leaning in towards him.

Their lips finally meet and Spencer kisses her softly yet passionately, relaying all of his feelings into the one kiss before the two pull away for air.

"Now how about we start on season two?" Spencer questions with a big smile on his face.

"Yes, let's! I'm so excited for it." Y/N answers.

She then grabs the remote again before cuddling up to Spencer's side closely and clicking play on the remote, that being how they spent the rest of their night.
