Y/N and her boyfriend had just broke up, the girl finally not being able to handle the abuse from him anymore.

So here she was, crying with only one heel on, the other one is in her hand with the heel snapped off, and she has a forming black eye.

When the elevator opens up all eyes are on her as she's limping and her whole body almost is covered in bruises, sniffles racking through her entire body.

As quickly as she could to avoid the team that had become her family because of her mother's job she limps past them all, trying to make it to Penelope's bat cave away from prying eyes.

The girl could hardly process what had been happening the past few weeks, trying to deny that he had turned abusive towards her, she just kept trying to convince herself that he loved her.

She knew that she should have listened to her mother and the teams advice, none of them liking her now ex-boyfriend, but she didn't want to believe he was bad news.

Y/N just kept hoping that he would change, even after he cheated on her with her best friend, mentally abusing her and making her feel like garbage for months before the physical abuse started a week ago.

The young girl felt so stupid for trying to believe he was different and the only place she knew to go was home, to her mom and to her family at the BAU.

Walking into her mom's office she closes the door behind her, making her way to the little couch Penelope had in her office for when her daughter wanted to join her at work.

Penelope heard her door open so she turns around in her spinning chair, seeing the sight of her daughter makes her gasp.

"Sweetie what happened to you? Are you okay?" Penelope asks worriedly, getting out of her chair and rushing to the couch to sit next to her daughter.

"Uh, It was Daniel mom... you guys were all right. He's a terrible person. He's been mentally abusing me for months after he cheated.. with.. with my best friend of all people. And last week he... got so mad at me he started hitting me. Tonight was bad, he came home drunk and beat me until he passed out because I broke up with him. And then I grabbed my shit, put all of it in my car and I left. I don't know what to do." Y/N rambles out, crying against her mothers shoulder.

"Oh my... poor little sugarplum. I'm going to get Hotchner and the team. We're going to go get this sick son of a bitch and he's gonna rot in prison for abuse. I'll also go get you an ice pack okay sweetie?" Penelope says to her daughter.

The sleepy girl nods, feeling a bit dizzy as she does leaning back against the couch, "Okay mom.. thank you.." she says before she passes out.

Penelope catches her before she falls over, getting up off the couch before she lays Y/N on the couch before rushing to get Hotch and Spencer, quickly filling them in as they make it back to her bat cave.

Spencer checks on Y/N when he gets there, making sure that she's alright since she randomly passed out, "She's alright, I think she's just overwhelmed and her body is tired so it just shut down so she can sleep and recover. Just give her a blanket and hold the ice pack against her head, she's a little warm."

"Thank you Spencer." Penelope says as she covers her daughter with a blanket, holding the ice pack on her head as Hotch looks at her, standing near the couch.

"I'm gonna get Derek and Spencer and we're going to get ready to suit up and go get this bastard while he's still sleeping so he can't run and possibly do this to anyone else." Aaron says before he heads to the round table room after telling Spencer and Derek to join him so he could tell them what happened and what they needed to do.

After the briefing the three men grabbed their guns and rushed to Daniel's house, unlocking the door using the key Y/N still had in her possession.

Derek slipped into the living room and Aaron aimed his gun at the sleeping Daniel Hanson still passed out on the couch.

"Daniel Hanson. Wake up and stand up with your hands in the air. You're under arrest for abuse." Derek yells, startling the man.

Daniel wakes up and notices the gun, immediately putting his hands up, pissed off that Y/N went to her mom and the BAU, "That little bitch turned me in?"

Derek shoved him against the wall, roughly pulling his arms behind his back before he tightly handcuffs him and pulls him out the door.

"Easy man, that hurts." Daniel says with a glare at Derek.

"Oh did I make you uncomfortable? Too fucking bad. You shouldn't have hurt one of the members of our family." Derek says as he shoves him into the police cruiser, shutting the door behind him before he joins back up with Aaron and Spencer.

"Let's go home and check on our girl." Derek says as he watches the cruiser drive away.

"Penelope and Emily took Y/N and her car back home to Garcia's house and that's where she is now back asleep in her old bed and JJ and David are there with them too." Aaron says as the three get into their SUV.

It doesn't take them long to get to Penelope's house and when they do they walk right in the unlocked door and once they're in the door they lock it behind them.

Penelope greets them at the door, "Did you catch that bastard that hurt my baby?"

"We caught him alright. I think I made that asshole pay. I hope he rots in there for a few years for hurting her. He deserves it." Derek says as they walk into the house.

"I'm glad that asshole is where he can't hurt Y/N anymore. She's still asleep and probably will be for awhile so you all can stay for the night or head home and come back tomorrow." Penelope says to all the awaiting family in the BAU.

Everyone agrees it's getting late so they start to head home, planning to come back in the morning and check on Y/N again.

Penelope pulls her mattress into her daughter's room for the night incase she needs her mother for anything during the night, the worried mother wanting to watch over her daughter until she falls asleep too.
