Prompt- You're Spencer's bestie, visiting him in the BAU. The team are confused as to who you are, so Spencer introduces you to the team.

You pull up outside of Quantico, excited about visiting Spencer. You grab the cups of coffee from the cup holders in your car, closing your car door. You adjust the coffee in your hands, entering the building.

You head to the lift and head up to the BAU. You smile, knowing that all you have to do to see your best friend is to walk through the glass doors.

You enter the bullpen, not spotting Spencer. A blonde walks over to you, smiling.

"What can I do for you?" she asks. Your smile falters.

"Is Spencer Reid around? I decided to stop by and see him; I hope I didn't miss him," you say. The blonde smiles wider.
"Yeah, I think he's looking through some records. Let me get him for you," she says. She walks up a set of stairs, into a room.

While she's getting Spencer, you notice some people give you looks. A man— around the age of 55— waves, smiling slightly . You wave back, coffee still in hand.

You notice the blonde come back out of the room with Spencer, pointing to you. Spencer's eyes light up as soon as he spots you. He dashes down the stairs, then wraps an arm around you.

"Hi! It's great of you to stop by," he says. You lift up a cup of coffee.

"Good to see you too! I brought you a cup of Joe, just the way you like it. Nice and sugary," you say, handing it to him.

"Thanks," he says. You take a sip of your own coffee, nodding to acknowledge his thanks.

"So, Spence, who's your girlfriend?" the blonde asks, smirking. You hold up a finger.

"Actually, we're just besties; we're so close that we're technically brother and sister. Also, my name is Y/N," you clarify.

"I'm Jennifer, but you can call me JJ," the blonde says, extending a hand. You smile, shaking her hand.

"Also, sorry for the assumption that you're his girlfriend. I just figured, you know..." she says, trailing off. You smile wider.

"It's a common mistake. No apology necessary," you say.

"So, I spoke to your mom on the phone yesterday, and she says that she would like to see you again," you tell Spencer.

"Well, I'm planning on seeing her in May," he says. JJ looks confused.

"You talk to his mom?" she asks. You nod.

"Daily. She tends to get lonely without someone to talk to, so I call her up and tell her about my day, ask her about her's, then tell her about Spencer," you say. JJ smiles faintly.

"That's sweet! So, is she like a mom to you?" she asks. You nod.

"Yeah. She's like a second mom to me. At first, she wanted me to be her daughter-in-law, but when she realised that Spencer and I love each other like siblings, she settled for just daughter," you say.

The man from earlier walks up, smiling slightly.

"How did Spencer 'boy genius' Reid win this beauty?" he asks. You giggle.

"Spencer and I are just besties and nothing more," you say. Spencer smiles.

"This is Y/N. She and I are like brother and sister, so any relationship other than that is out of the question," he says.

"Ah. Well, I'm David Rossi, and you, my dear, have a bella faccia," he says, shaking your hand. You smile slightly.

"Garacì," you say. His eyes light up.

"You know Italian?" he asks.

"Indeed I do. I also know English, Portuguese, Russian, Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish, Arabic, and German. Those are just the languages I'm fluent in. I'm currently learning Hindi and Thai," you say.

He looks impressed.

"Do you guys mind if I show Y/N around? I'd like for her to meet the rest of the team," Spencer asks. JJ and David nod.

"Sure, yeah. Take her up to Penelope, too. She'd love to meet your bestie," JJ says. Spencer thanks them, and heads up the stairs.

"So, the woman you're about to meet is Emily. She's over the team now that Hotch is gone," Spencer says. You nod.

He knocks on a door, and a female voice answers. Spencer opens the door and heads in; you trail behind him.

"Hey Emily, this is Y/N. She's my friend that's so close, we're technically siblings," he says. Emily looks up from her paperwork, smiling at you.

"Hi Y/N, it's good to meet you," she says. You smile, taking her extended hand and shaking it.

"You too. So, you're head hancho now, huh?" you ask. She nods.

"Yep," she says. Spencer points to the door.

"Well, we're going to see Garcia and Alvez," Spencer says.

"Bye Y/N. It's good to know that someone's keeping Boy Genius straight," she says. You smile, waving goodbye.

"Okay, so now, we're going to see Penelope. She's our hacker," he says.

He takes you into a dark room where computers are everywhere, and a blonde with colourful clothing sits in front of the screens.

"Hey, Garcia. I've brought someone for you to meet," he says.

She turns around, beaming.

"Oh my gosh hi! I'm Penelope! What's your name?" she asks, giving you a tight hug.

"Y/N," you respond, hugging her with just as much enthusiasm.

She pulls back, taking you in.

"Oh wow! You have such delicate features. You could get a modelling career," she says. You laugh.

"Thanks, but modelling isn't in my interest," you say. She frowns a little. Her mood brightens up almost immediately after it fades.

"So, how did you and Boy Genius meet? Casual encounter? Childhood friends? Running into each other?" she asks.

"Well, we met about five years ago at a convention. We've been besties ever since," you say. She gasps.

"You go to conventions? That's awesome. Which one did you go to? Comic-con?" she asks.

"Of course it was comic-con! He was talking about Star Trek with a guy dressed like Kirk, and I was hanging out with my sister, who was dressed like Irene Adler. She was chatting up some Sherlockians. I was bored, so I came over to hear what this Trekkie had to say," you say.

Penelope gasped.

"What were you dressed as?" she asks. You smile. Spencer nudges you, smiling.

"I was Black Widow," you say. Penelope gasps again, placing a hand over her heart.

"Girl! Oh my gosh! I bet you looked so good!" she says. You flush red.

"Okay, well she has yet to meet Alvez, Lewis, and Simmons," Spencer says. Penelope gasps again.

"Oh my gosh! Don't let me keep you!" she exclaims. You smile.

"Bye, Penelope," you say, following Spencer out the door.

"Let's go back down stairs. The rest of the team should be down there by now," Spencer says.

Upon arriving down stairs, you see three people that weren't there before. Spencer smiles.

"Hey guys. This is Y/N, my best friend," Spencer says.

"I'm Tara," the only woman of the three says, "this is Matthew," she points to the guy directly to her right, "and this is Luke," she points to the guy directly on her left.

Everyone shakes your hand.

"Good to meet you."

"Thanks for coming by."

"Glad you came by."

"It's great to meet you all," you respond. Each of them share a smile.

"Well, Spence, I have to go. I have to meet my sister in an hour, and it takes forty minutes to get where I'm going if I leave now," you say.

He gives you a hug.

"Stop by again sometime," Tara says. You smile.

"Will do. See you guys later," you say.

You wave goodbye to everyone.

"Let me walk you to your car," Spencer says.

You follow Spencer to the parking lot.

"They're nice, Spence. I'm glad to see that I'm not your only friend," you tease. He smiles.

"So, would you consider coming to a party this weekend that Rossi's putting on? You could get to know my team better," Spencer proposes.

"Sure. I'll pick you up, and you tell me where to go," you say. Spencer agrees.
