Chapter 10
She hates him. No joke, she absolutely hates that bastard. Sakura hates the fact that he walks into her home like he owns it, rummages through her fridge like he owns it, and worst of all, eats the last two tomatoes she was going to make for homemade salsa!
He's ruining her life, ruining her case, and ruining her fridge.
'Why me?' She thought, 'Why did I have to take this case?'

"I told Sakura yesterday that I think someone's hiding him." Naruto announced to his team.
Sakura groaned, still feeling the last bit of her hang over. She placed her hand on her head, and closed her eyes.
Naruto grinned, "Oh, and she's hung over."
Kakashi sighed, "Anyway, if someone is hiding him, and we find that person, they'll be apart of a crime. You can't hide criminals."
That statement snapped Sakura out of her pain for a few moments. All she thought about was the fact that she could very well be a criminal herself now. Although she isn't hiding Sasuke, it's still a crime to be contacting him, especially since she's the one who is trying to put him to justice.
"Sakura, are you okay?" Sai asked.
The pinkette exhaled, "Yeah, I'm just thinking."
"About the Uchiha?"
A small smile tugged at her lips, "Yeah."
She began to realize what she just did. She smiled at his name. Honestly, she didn't know what was going through her head that made a small smile form on her lips. It's probably the headache.
Naruto had a questioning look on his face, "Why are you smiling?"
She sighed, "I'm just really tired. The thought of sleep just popped in my head." She lied, "Anyway, I'm fine. Let's continue."

The four detectives found nothing. Sakura was beginning to think that he'll never show signs of being spotted. She was tired of this case. Tired of hiding her and Sasuke's encounters from her fellow detectives. She almost felt as if she was a criminal herself.
Walking out of the large building, she checked her phone for the time, and noticed it was nearly 9. It urked her that she was wasting her time coming to work, because Sasuke was being extremely cautious now. Sakura was tired of this. She wanted him gone for good.
Realizing what she should do to get him out of her hair, she went to the 24 hour grocery store.

The pinkette approached the window the Uchiha usually comes through and opened it. She needed fresh air. Exhaling the fresh, chilly air, the light breeze made her hair flow behind her slightly. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the dark figure she knew so well.
"Sasuke?" She asked.
He jumped a couple railings swiftly, which almost shocked her.
"I-I need to talk to you." Sakura cursed at herself for studdering in front of him.
Keeping the window open, she turned away and gathered some stuff together. She heard him enter the apartment, and kept her back turned away from him, and closed her eyes.
Sakura sighed, "Here."
Picking up the large duffle bag, she threw it at his feet, and he looked down, then looked back up at her, face emotionless.
"I'm tired of these games, Sasuke. I want you to leave me alone. There's some food and water in that bag. Take it, and never come here again. You'll be doing both of us a favor."
He scoffed at her, "What makes you think this will keep me away from you?"
That statement shocked Sakura. She didn't know what to think of it.
"What-"
There was a knock at the door, and she stared at him for a couple more seconds.
"Take it and leave. Now." Sakura glared.
He leaned against the wall, and crossed his arms, not taking orders from her.
Sakura opened the door, and was shocked yet excited at who was at her doorstep.
"Ino?"
She grinned and pulled her in for a hug, "Sakura! It's been too long!"
Sakura accepted the hug, and chuckled, "What are you doing here? I thought you were taking some classes in Italy."
They released their embrace, and Ino shrugged, "I'm just here visiting my best friend. I haven't seen you in what, a year?"
"Yeah-"
"Whoa. . ." Ino looked behind Sakura's shoulder and whispered, "Who's that?"
Sakura tilted her head in confusion and Ino pointed behind her. She turned around, and saw the onyx-eyed man still leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. He obviously did not listen to her when she said to leave.
"He's hot! You lucky slut!" The blonde grinned playfully and pushed her aside.
Sakura's heart started pounding, wanting to go die in a corner. This was the worst possible time for her highschool friend to visit. Sakura also noticed the luggage Ino left outside the door. She turned around to watch what Sasuke would do.
"Ino, I don't think you should-" Sakura was cut off.
"Hi there." She blushed.
Sasuke just smirked at her, and nodded a hello. Sakura went to his side, and put a hand on his shoulder, "He was just leav-"
"Sakura, I cannot believe this! How come you didn't tell me you were dating again?!"
"No, no, no he's-" The pinkette was cut off again.
"Sasuke." He held out a hand to Ino.
Ino took his hand in hers a little too quickly, "Ino Yamanaka. So, how did you two end up together."
Deciding to change the subject, Sakura said, "Ino, why are you here?"
"Well, first off, I came here to see Shikamaru, but forgot his address. I decided to come here instead to see you." The blonde walked over to grab her luggage.
"I just need to stay here for a night. I promise I'll leave tomorrow to find Shikamaru. Do you by any chance have his address?" She asked.
"No, but I'll ask him when I'm at the office tomorrow."
"Great, thanks! I hope I'm not being a bother." Ino said, as she put the last bit of luggage in the apartment.
"No," Sakura lied, "Not at all." Then she glared at Sasuke.
Ino smiled at the two, "Mind if I use your bathroom?"
"Go ahead." Sakura smiled, and Ino brought her make-up bag with her to freshen up.
Once Ino closed the door, Sakura pulled Sasuke to the side, "How dare you tell her your name! You're all over the news, she'll find out!" Sakura whispered coldly.
He shrugged, "Let them find out. Not my problem."
"Not to mention, Shikamaru works in my department. Oh god, I'm so dead." Sakura placed a hand on her forehead, "This stress is not good on my hang over."
"Relax. Just tell her to not tell that guy about me."
"I hope you know I hate you." She glared.
He shrugged again and she continued, "Now leave."
"Hn." He walked towards the window, and grabbed the duffle bag, slinging it on his shoulder.
Sakura walked towards him, waiting for him to leave so she can close the window. Once he was on the fire escape, she grabbed the window, but the Uchiha grabbed her by the back of her neck, and leaned his lips towards her ear.
She widened her eyes, and he whispered, "We're not done yet."
He released Sakura from his grasp. And he left.

"Ino," Sakura started, "Do you mind not telling Shikamaru, or anyone about Sasuke?"
She looked at Sakura questioning, "Why?" Then she chuckled, "Is he some kind of criminal you're supposed to be investigating?"
Sakura laughed sheepishly, "Good one."
Ino smiled, "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me, detective." She winked.
