---Palette's POV----

"You okay...?"

I blinked rapidly, glancing over at Goth. "H-Huh? O-Oh, yeah, I-I'm fine...just a bit shaken up..."

He sighed, holding out a hand for me. "Yeah...I'm like that as well...I-I mean...m-my brother..." He trailed off, sniffing. His already tear stained cheeks twitched, more tears starting to run down them.

"Oh Goth..." I muttered, taking his hand and letting him pull me to my feet. "There was nothing you could have done to prevent that...you know that, don't you...?"

He nodded weakly, letting me pull him into my arms. "I-Its just...I can't believe he's gone...f-forever..."

"He died protecting you..." I mumbled, kissing the top of his skull lightly. "He knew he'd die... But he did it to ensure you would live on... So live for him Goth, live so that he didn't die for nothing..."

Goth nodded weakly, giving me a small smile. "Thanks Palette...at this point, I don't know what I'd do without you..."

I laughed softly, nuzzling him. "You'd be hopeless, wouldn't you?"

"Heh...yeah..."

I smiled before blinking rapidly as sudden loud screeching rang out from behind us.

We both whipped around, blinking in surprise as we saw something burst from the bushes in the forest, screeching their heads off.

It was the geese.

Behind them, Fluffy lunged up, trying to bite them and assumedly eat them.

The fluffy brown goose launched itself at Nightmare, hissing and honking in distress as it barrelled into his chest, somehow clinging onto him.

Nightmare yelped, instinctively wrapping his arms around the goose to support it as it screeched in fear.

The white one flew into Cross' arms before collapsing, making weak sounds of distress as well.

Fluffy stalked up to the two of them, practically licking his lips as he stared at the two geese hungrily. I think he's planned on making them his next meal.

"U-Uh...bad dog." Nightmare said uncertainly, wincing as the male goose tried to bite one of his tentacles. "Stop biting me you stupid goose! I'm saving your life!"

The goose hissed loudly, and bit his shoulder harshly before settling down slightly, curling up in Nightmare's arms as he death glared Fluffy.

The white goose seemed a bit better than her partner, settling quite quickly in Cross' arms as he pet her softly, running his fingers down her feathery neck.

"How come you get the calmer one?!" Nightmare complained, clutching his injured shoulder.

Cross laughed, watching. "Just pet it or something, I'm sure it'll calm down once it realises it's safe."

We watched in amusement as Nightmare hesitantly reached out to pet the goose, only to have his fingers viciously bitten.

"Sweet mother of--"

We all laughed, shaking our heads. "You poor thing."

Nightmare growled, glaring down at the goose, which glared definitely back up at him before honking loudly and curling up, going limp on his arms.

Cross smiled weakly. "There you go."

Nightmare rolled his eyes, glancing over at Ink as he stood up, Gradient by his side. "What's up, skittles?"

Ink rolled his eyes, letting Gradient lean against him for support. "We're moving out. There's no reason to stay here any longer, and I want to go home."

Home...

For everyone here, home meant something to them. But to me...I don't have a home...

Dust stood up, nodding as he nuzzled Blue. "Agreed. I've been dying to go home from the moment you psychos dragged me into this."

The others snickered, all standing as well. "Yeah, we all live in around the same-ish area. We'll just have other people drop off as we go along."

Error stretched, glancing over at Pj and Fresh. "Yeah...We'd reach the Crossmare mansion first. Then the Dustberry cottage second. The Ink and my household third. Horrorlust's apartment forth. Wherever Dream lives next. And finally, the Afterdeath house."

I blinked, tilting my head to the side. "What was up with those names?"

Error smirked. "Just some little things I made up on the spot."

The others blinked rapidly before shrugging, starting to walk back up the hill of a forest. "Lets goooooo!"

Ink and Error lead the way, helping Gradient walk as they weaved in and out of the trees. They weren't in a cheery mood, but they were both smiling -in relief- happy that they could finally relax without fearing for their's, or their kid's lives.

Nightmare and Cross followed after with their kids, Cross seeming fine, while Nightmare suffered from merciless pecks every time he tried to touch the floofy goose.

After them, Pj and Fresh walked along, Sprinkle and Desire chatting along happily by their sides, seeming to be able to forget, or push away the memories of what had happened less than half an hour ago.

Dust, Blue, Lust and Horror followed after them, the tallers each hugging their respective partner as they walked.

And then Killer and Dream walked up, hand in hand. Followed by Chara and Betty, who were leaning against each other slightly. Then followed by Geno and Reaper, the two of them constantly glancing back at us as Goth and I took up the rear.

Goth sighed weakly, gripping onto my hand. He was blushing slightly, but didn't say anything.

I swore inside my head, feeling my face heat up as well. Damn it, this is the last time I'll probably ever see him, and I can't even tell him him how I feel. I'm a little too wimpy really. "Hey...Goth..."

Goth blinked, looking up at me. "Yeah?"

"W-Will we...will we still be friends after all this...?"

Goth was silent for a moment, making me internally panic. But then he smiled, nodding. "Of course!"

I let out a loud sigh of relief, feeling like a weight had been lifted off of my chest. "Great. And I guess we could occasionally meet up?"

Goth nodded quickly again, smiling cutely up at me. "We'll always be together Palette!"

I blushed, nodding happily. "Yeah, always."

---------

"Byyyyyeeeee!" We called, standing by the edge of the Creeper Vine forest as we watched Nightmare, Cross, the kids and the geese split from out group, stepping out in the ash.

Nightmare rolled his eye, glancing at Error. "No hard feelings for trying to kill you, right?"

Error laughed nervously before nodding, giving a weak smile. "Yeah, I guess I kinda deserved it."

"Kinda? Oh you definitely deserved it." Nightmare muttered, glancing down at the white goose as it lightly pecked his leg, obviously not liking the feeling of ash clogging up its feathers.

The others laughed, raising non-existent eyebrows. "So you keeping the geese?"

"Uh..." Nightmare glanced at Cross, who nodded quickly in response. "Well, what the wife wants, the wife gets. So yes. We'll keep them."

"Name them!" Dust called, smirking. "I can't leave without knowing what ridiculous names you're gonna call them."

Cross went blank. "I...I don't have any names..."

Nightmare smirked widely, picking up the white one. "I do."

We all blinked expectantly, waiting. "And what are those...?"

"Croissant." He said, pointing at the male Canadian Goose. "And Baguette." He pointed at the white one in his arms.

"Wow, those are interesting names..." Chara said, walking over to them.

They'd already decided that for now, Chara and Betty could stay with them in the mansion, at least until they'd figured everything out.

Nightmare nodded, seeming proud. "I came up with those on the spot."

We all laughed, watching as Nightmare changed his mind and put the white goose down before suddenly scooping Cross into his arms as he walked off, earning a surprised squeak from the smol.

"Well...that's probably the last we'll ever see of them..." Reaper muttered, watching as they all walked off down to their massive mansion, the two newly named geese waddling along behind.

"Yeah..." Ink muttered. "It might be. But that's probably for the best."

"Yeah...for the best....probably."

---------

"Bye Dust! Bye Blue!" Error called, waving as Dust and Blue hopped over the little stream that lead to their house.

"Byeeee!" Blue called, smiling happily as he waved back. "Hope to see you guys again soon!"

I smiled, looking over at Sprinkle and Desire as they hugged each other tightly, not seeming to not want to let go of each other and separate.

"I-I'll miss you..." Sprinkle whispered, looking down sadly as he buried his face in Desire's chest.

"I'll miss you too..." Desire mumbled, sighing as he nuzzled him softly. "I'll miss you so much..."

Dust and Horror sighed, looking at each other. "Hey...Sprinkle, Desire."

The two smol's looked up at their parents, blinking innocently with their wide eyes. "Yeah?"

"We can tell you don't want to separate...so...uh, if you want to, we can arrange some meet ups for you guys, so that you can get to see each other every now and then."

The two of them both squealed, practically jumping up and down. "H-How often would we get to see each other?!"

Dust and Horror glanced at each other, shrugging. "Whenever we can sneak out past the cops I guess. So uh...maybe once a week or something?"

They squealed again.

"Would you like that?"

They both nodded rapidly, and Desire hugged Sprinkle to his chest again, humming happily as he kissed his forehead, blushing.

Sprinkle blushed slightly as well, sighing happily as he looked up at Desire, smiling widely.

"C'mon then Desire." Lust called. "We've gotta keep moving."

Desire whined, but let go of Sprinkle, seeming to be mentally debating something. "Hey...Sprinkle..."

Sprinkle looked back up at him, his expression innocent. "Yeah?"

Desire didn't say anything, simply leaning forwards and kissing his cheek quickly before hiding his face in his hands and running back to his parents.

Sprinkle froze up slightly, his face slightly blue before he giggled, smiling. "Cya Desire! Can't wait to see you again!"

"Can't wait either!" Desire called, waving as Sprinkle skipped over to Blue and Dust, walking into their little cottage house.

----------

We had now entered Craitown. A large group of skeletons, with a bunch of kids and teens following. Oh, and a giant demon dog.

If anyone had seen us, I'm sure they would have questioned multiple things. But luckily for us, the sun had just set, and night time was drawing in, covering the town in a blanket of soft darkness.

Our group stopped outside Ink and Error's house, sighing.

"Wow...its been almost three years since I last went in this house..." Error muttered, pulling Ink closer to his side. "So long..."

Ink nodded, kissing his cheek. "But you're back now..."

I glanced over at Pj and Fresh, seeing them talking softly to each other. They seemed to be discussing Fresh's whole, 'where to live' situation.

But then Fresh suddenly pulled Pj closer, leaning down and kissing him.

Pj let out a small squeak of surprise, while Fresh just smirked, wrapping his arms around the smaller's waist.

Upon hearing soft growling, I glanced to the side, snickering as I saw Ink being held back by Error as he death glared Fresh.

"Calm down, Inky..." He whispered, kissing his cheek. "Just let them have their moment..."

After a bit, Fresh pulled back, smirking as he nuzzled Pj affectionately. "I love you, Jammy~"

Pj blushed darkly, burying his face in Fresh's chest. "I-I love you too, Fresh!"

Fresh then glanced over at Ink and Error shrugging apologetically. "Heh, sorry you two."

Ink huffed while Error just smirked, giving him the thumbs up. Gradient however, mimed throwing up.

Pj looked over at Ink and Error before dragging Fresh over. "C-Can Fresh stay with us."

"Absolutely not." Ink said, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Just for the night?" He pleaded, giving them puppy eyes.

Ink looked away, faltering slightly. "..."

"If it's just for the night, yes." Error said, smirking. "I just don't want grandchildren on the first night."

"D-Dad!" Pj yelled, blushing in embarrassment.

Error laughed, walking down the path to their house with Ink and Gray. "C'mon love birds. I dunno about you guys, but I'm tired."

They nodded, quickly running after them, waving as they stood in the doorway. "Cya!"

"Bye!"

----------

I blinked, taking in the familiar surroundings of Elms Block. This is the place where I'd spent a good few years of my life, homeless and alone.

We were currently walking towards Horror and Lust's apartment, weaving in and out of the different crumbling tower blocks as we went.

"Which apartment is yours again?" Killer asked, looking around curiously.

"Honestly, I can't remember." Horror said with a snort. "We'll know if Linda comes out, screaming about how we haven't payed rent."

Lust giggled, nodding his head. "Yeah, she's not gonna be happy. Not happy at all."

"You're going to have stacked up a bill." Desire muttered, rolling his eyes as he glanced around, suddenly pointing. "There's our apartment!"

We all immediately looked over at where he was pointing, taking in the old crumbling block. It did really look like it was going to fall apart. The walls were choked with dead ivy, it's cracked and crumbling bricks barely noticeable in some places. The majority of visible windows were dirty, cracked and stained, showing just how well the building was looked after.

"Wow..." Killer muttered, smirking slightly as he walked forwards. "That place looks stable."

"Oh shut up." Horror growled, rolling his eyes as he walked up to the entrance steps. "We're planning on moving somewhere better anyway."

"There are two ways of living in this world." Reaper muttered, chuckling softly. "In a crumbling apartment like Horror and Lust. Or live in a luxury mansion like Nightmare and Cross."

Killer laughed, nodding. "Or you can be like Ink and Error, living in a normal house."

"True."

Horror yawned, pulling Lust and Desire up to the main entrance doors with him. "Right then. We should get going, shouldn't we?"

Lust nodded, smiling up at his lover. "Alright then, off we go."

We all waved, watching as Horror kicked open the door, marching in.

"Guess who's baaaaaccckk???"

And from inside, came the distant yelling of a female voice. "HORROR I SWEAR TO GOD--"

---------

"So, this is where you live...?" Reaper asked, glancing at Dream as we eyed up the small little semi-detached house with a small driveway and little grassy garden.

"Currently? Yes. But I've never stayed in the same house for more than a year in these past fifteen years." Dream said, sighing as he looked the house up and down. "I don't really like this house."

Killer snorted, rolling his eyes. "Then get a new one."

"I will. Just need to rack up the money first." He replied, leaning against him with a yawn. "Anyways, I should probably get going. Today's been more stressful than the whole past fifteen years combined."

"Damn that's a lot of stress." Reaper muttered, hugging Geno lightly as Dream nodded in response.

He pushed himself off of Killer, sighing as he pulled out a key from a string around his neck. "I'm pretty sure it's safe to say I won't be seeing any of you again. Well, I might maybe visit Nightmare. But that's only if he's not to busy smashing Cross."

We all laughed, but as I glanced at Killer, I could see he looked almost...nervous.

"...W-Well bye then..." Killer muttered, looking down at the floor.

Dream stopped mid step, slowly turning back round to face Killer with a smirk. "You think you can just run off? I don't think so."

Killer let out a yelp as Dream suddenly gripped onto his wrist and pulled him down the driveway with him to the door. "H-Huh?"

Dream rolled his eyes, chuckling. "You're staying with me, whether you want to, or not."

Killer bit back a flustered response, simply nodding. He actually seemed quite dazed.

Dream laughed, kicking open the door with his foot once he'd unlocked it. "There's only one bedroom, but I'm sure you won't mind that."

And with that he pulled Killer in, shutting the door behind him.

I laughed softly, glancing at Goth. "Well...now its just you guys that need go go home..."

Goth nodded, biting his non-existent bottom lip. "Yeah...just us..."

--------

I stood awkwardly by Geno and Reaper's house, watching as the two of them walked down the pathway to their front door.

Goth stood next to me, his fingers intertwined with mine as we held hands. "Palette..."

I hummed, looking down a him. "Yeah, Gothy?"

He looked down, scuffing his feet on the floor. "Y-You don't have anywhere to live...do you...?"

I gulped, rubbing the back of my neck awkwardly. "Heh, well...I do have--"

"No! That little hideout up on that crumbling roof block doesn't count! Y-You're alone and exposed up there! Wh-What if it's really windy?! Wh-What of it rains?! What i-if it snows?! Y-You could die!"

I blinked in surprise, seeing shining tears slowly slide down his cheekbones. "Oh Gothy..."

He suddenly hugged me tightly, sniffing. "I-I don't want you to go..."

"I...I don't want to go either..." I mumbled, tilting his head up gently. "But I have to..."

He shook his head, but froze up as I gently wiped away his tears and kissed his cheek. "It's alright Goth..."

"N-No it isn't..."

I suddenly made my decision right then and there, cancelling out the screaming voices in my head as I leaned down, pulling him into a kiss.

Goth squeaked in surprise, immediately gripping onto me as he went stiff.

I rubbed his cheek lightly with my hand, pulling him closer as he relaxed into the kiss.

We could have stayed like that forever. But a sudden cough made us jolt, turning go see Geno and Reaper watching us.

"O-Oh! I-I'm sor--"

"There's no need to be sorry." Reaper said, smirking slightly. "We've known how you two feel for each other for a while now. Which is why I'm about to bring up this topic."

I blinked curiously, pulling Goth closer to my side as Reaped continued.

"Goth mentioned this earlier, and Geno and I have been discussing it for a while now. And, we've come to a conclusion. Palette."

"Y-Yes?" I gulped, my voice weak.

"How would you like to stay and live with us?"

I froze up, stumbling back slightly in shock. "L-Live with you?"

All three of them nodded.

I breathed out shakily, feeling tears of happiness build up in my eyes. "L-Like... Like as a f-family."

They nodded again. "Like a family."

I almost burst into tears right then, nodding rapidly as I gripped onto Goths hand. "I-I'd love to."

Ever since the beginning...I've been looking for a family...but I'd never found it... But now...

I finally have...
