Leo's POV
My ears burned in embarrassment as I lied down on my bed in the Hermes cabin. I sighed, burying my head in my hands. What even just happened? Why did I challenge Nico to a fight in the first place?
"Leo?" A hesitant voice snapped me out of my thoughts. Oh, it was that Jason guy.
"What is it?" I asked in a rather rude voice, I inwardly winced at my tone. It's not that I want to be rude to everyone, it's just a bad habit I have.
"Well, I just wanted to see if you were okay... And also, I kind of--"
"I know you controlled the wind to do that, and personally, I ask of you to never do that again. Please, and thank you."
I sighed once more, squeezing my eyes shut and hoping I could just drown in my mattress. Annoyance bubbled in my stomach.
"Why have I not heard the door close and you out of the cabin yet?" Footsteps walking away, and a door shut softly. A sigh escaped my lips. I seem to be doing that a lot lately, more than usual anyways.
I felt a burning sensation in the pits of my stomach, and not the angry or annoyed type, it actually felt like a normal yet burning stomachache. I groaned, this was not the time to get sick. I curled up into a tiny ball in my bed, trying to ignore the burning. I started to feel the urge to throw up.
Great, such great timing.
Nico's POV
I heard Leo got sick right after the "incident".
I decided to go to the infirmary just to check up on him, not because I like him or anything, I just want to make sure he's alright.
My steps seemed way too loud for the library silent infirmary. There were only a few Apollo children around, cleaning up the beds and medications. Kayla nodded towards me with a smile. I smiled back.
"If you're looking for Leo, he's down more a bit to your right," Kayla said softly. I said my thanks, following her directions.
Sure enough, there Leo was, shriveled up in massive amounts of blankets, sniffling. My heart melted at the sight, I quietly approached the boy.
"Leo? Are you okay?" The lump of blankets shifted a bit until I could see a single dull chocolate eye. A groan was heard from underneath, I assumed that meant "no".
I sighed, sitting down next to him, smoothing out his sweat filled hair. Leo snuggled up to my hand, leaning in the direction. I smiled and continued to pet him softly. I knew that he would never have done that on a normal day, but I took this time to appreciate the sight. Soon, his breathing evened out, and the sniffles resided.
The temptation to kiss him on the forehead overpowered my will, so I leaned down and brushed my lips on his forehead.
I prayed to all the gods that no one saw that.
Piper's POV
"Wow, interesting..." I gave a sinister grin, looking at the picture I just took of Nico kissing Leo's forehead.
