Will's POV
Today was crazy.
First, Nico comes in with an unconscious newbie, who is very much malnourished.
Second, I realize he has a bullet inside of him.
Third, he gets up and runs while having an open wound.
And now, it turns out that Travis knows him.
Great, just great. Way to make my life ten times harder because I have to deal with this ruckus of a boy, as well as a pestering Stoll demanding to see the newbie.
Thanks a lot, fate.
I shake my head in disappointment, trying to stop the blood flow. The obnoxious knocks on the door were getting louder and faster, not fading away as I had hoped. It continued for five whole minutes. I marched straight up to the door and whipped it open.
"Look Travis, I don't give a shit if you guys were friends before. If you want to see him again, then SHUT THE FUCK UP." I screamed. Travis looked scared, before quickly side stepping me into the infirmary room. I tried my best the grab his arm and chuck him out the room, but this dude was just too fast.
I growled in frustration, and stomped to Travis, and intended to chuck him out the room. But the sight in front of me was just too shocking to break.
Travis Stoll, the infamous prankster and mischief maker, was crying next the new camper's bed, holding his hand.
What.
He never cries. Like NEVER. Not even when Connor broke his arm, he just laughed it off and said that "of course it's my little brother gets hurt, it's his natural personality!"
I silently creeped up to him, and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. He tensed and looked at me through bloodshot eyes. I realized that Travis must really care for this dude.
He gave me a broken smile, tears still dripping down his face.
"Sooo... You know him?" I ask hesitantly. I didn't want to trigger anything, but Travis didn't seem to take offense to it.
"Yeah I know this idiot, I can't believe he's actually here, in Camp Half-Blood..." He trails off, squeezing the new camper's hand.
"Right... how did you meet Leo?" Thanks to the fact that Travis presented his name when he ran out, I now know it.
"Well, we were both--"
"Wow Travis, that's interesting, now out you go!" I interrupted him. Sure, I felt a bit bad, but Leo was a patient and I was his doctor who needed to take care of him in peace.
"Wait but--" I shoved him out the door and banged it close after yelling a bye.
I sighed in relief. Finally, I can finish tending to the bullet wound. I got to half out, before the boy started moving, now to just get it fully out...
Travis' POV
Damn, I can't believe Leo was actually here! That curly haired defensive boy. Connor was beside me, trying to awkwardly comfort me. He didn't actually know Leo, I met him while we were separated...
I shuddered, not wanting to think of the fact that Connor and I were away from each other for a while. Connor's concerned face blocked my vision. He must have seen my bloodshot eyes when I came out.
"Trav? You good?" He looked concerned for me. I smiled and hugged him, whiffing in his scent of spring water. Why he smelled like that, I don't know, but it smelled good. I nodded in his shirt. I felt him hug me back, resting his head on my shoulder.
Oh, I don't even know what I would do without my brother...
