Leo's POV
I don't know how I got myself stuck into this predicament.
One moment I am running away from the police in a forest, bare feet thudding repeatedly across the muddy ground. The next second, I'm entering a full on summer camp.
And the weirdest part? The police drive right past as if the camp isn't even here. I'm standing wide open, and they don't even see.
What?
I hear a yell, that was probably directed to me.
I turn around to see a basic representation of Superman waving towards me. My reaction? Run.
So that is exactly what I do. I bolt into the forest. Sue me, but it's a natural reaction. I've been running for half of my life, so it comes in handy sometimes.
Superman is obviously confused as to why I am running away from him, but that just motivates me more. I sprint around, jumping up into the trees and swinging from branch to branch. I turn a sharp corner, quickly climbing up the closest tree and crouch in the shadows. Superman follows, looking around, wondering where I went.
It's funny how people never think to look up.
He starts walking forward, but changes his mind, and mutters something about telling someone named Chiron.
Then he fucking flies.
How?
He levitates so that he is at basically the same level as I am, and is about to go forward back to camp, but spots me.
Dammit! I was so hoping...
I curse aloud and try to jump off the tree and continue running, however, Superman catches me mid-fall by the collar.
"Nu uh uh. You aren't going anywhere." Superman starts flying back to the direction I didn't want to go.
Well, looks like I'm screwed.

"...and that's how we got here." Jason - I figured out Superman's name - explains to Chiron. Who was a centaur or something? Half horse, half human. Kinda disturbing, but I've dealt with worse.
"Hmm... Well Jason, thank you. You may leave now, I want to have a private word with Mr. Runaway here." Jason nodded and left. But not before giving me a warning look. Great, I already got on the bad side of someone here.
"What is your name?" I jerked back to reality and realized that Chiron was talking to me.
"Why should I tell you?" I narrow my eyes in suspicion. Who knows? This might all be a huge set up by the police to try to get me back into the blasted prison. As if they can keep me behind bars. I slowly inch away, trying to reach the exit door. Chiron caught onto my intentions, and quickly stopped me by putting what I assumed was a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
"I have no intentions of hurting you young boy, I will start with introducing myself. I am Chiron, leader and instructor of Camp Half-Blood." Chiron gave me a kind smile. He relaxed me, but I was still on the balls of my feet, you never know what could happen.
"Ok then, what is Camp Half-Blood? Why did the police go by like it wasn't ever there? Why did Jason fly?" So many questions flew out of my mouth, all out of suspicion. Chiron put up his hand, opening his hand to respond when the door flung open.
"Chiron! Come quick! A camper was shot in the-- Oh. Uh..." There stood a girl, probably Californian. She had tan skin, uneven braids hanging from the sides of her face that were weaved with feathers. She had kaleidoscope eyes, changing from brown, blue, green, and occasionally gray.
"Piper, please stay with this boy here for now. He is a new camper who just came. I will go attend to the injured camper, thank you for informing me as soon as possible." Chiron galloped out the door, ducking as he exited so he didn't hit his head on the door frame. I awkwardly stood there. The door looked more and more inviting...
"Soo... I'm Piper! What's your name?" Piper asked me. I stared at her, calculating her stance. She seemed pretty chill, but I immediately saw the dagger tucked into her jeans right when she entered the building. Piper shifted under my inspection.
"Why should I tell you?" I repeated what I said to Chiron. Piper looked surprised, then a bit miffed.
"Why shouldn't you?" She shot back at me. I glared at her and assessed her position again. She seemed a bit tenser and defensive, but still made no signs of pulling out the dagger of hers.
"Because for all I know, you could be a serial killer. Or the police trying to get me again." I clenched my fists, ready for a fight. Except Piper backed up a bit with her hands in a surrender position.
"Whoa, whoa, who said anything about that? I'm just curious, I can't just call you the new camper." She sent me a care-free smile. I narrowed my eyes.
"What do you mean 'new camper'? What if I don't want to stay here?" Piper looked shocked. Then laughed like crazy, as if that was the stupidest thing ever.
"What do you mean 'what if I don't want to stay here'? You have to stay here! You'll die out there with the monsters if not! I'm surprised you even stayed alive in the mortal world for so long!" Was that an insult? What in the world was she going on about?
But yet then again, the door was creaked open again.
This time, a gang of people streamed in.
"I told you she was in here!"
"Dude, Chiron literally told us, what do you mean you told us she was in here?"
"Guys! She has someone with her..."
Everything went silent. Everyone stared at me with curious eyes. I felt uncomfortable from all the attention. I wasn't used to of people goggling at me like an ancient artifact from Rome or something.
"Oh. You're still here?" Jason's voice rang through the silence. The people in the room looked at him, confused.
"Can you still fly?" I asked back, done with his attitude. Jason seemed puzzled at my random question.
"Yeah?"
"Then there you go. There is your answer." I deadpanned. He scowled, muttering about ungrateful kids that don't have manners. Ha, who needs manners when you got fists.
A green eyed boy snickered but was quickly punched by a blond girl, who had sharp gray eyes that looked intelligent.
Suddenly, I started feeling woozy. The world started to spin like crazy, I stumbled backward, almost collapsing if it weren't for a boy in dark clothing. His concerning obsidian eyes stared straight into my soul.
I fell limp in his arms, breathing labored. It felt as if the world was sucking me into the ground, suffocating and tightening around my body. Piper started screaming, Jason was yelling out commands, and so many other voices were talking, all their voices jumbled together.
A calloused hand gently opened my mouth open. I resisted, thrashing. Coughs erupted out of my mouth, my frail body shaking violently. Water was pushed down my throat, at first, my body pushed out the intrusion, but then it recgonized that water is what it needed.
I took needy gulps, not even thinking about how I looked like. It's been a while since I've had clean fresh water, and boy is it nice.
After a while of drinking water, everything went back to normal. The world cleared, my breath was back, I was normal. I slowly blinked away the shock and came to realized the position I was in.
My head was in the crook of the obsidian-eyed boy's shoulder, one of his arms wrapped around my waist to hold me up, the other gently opening my mouth. We were on the floor, he was kneeling while I was in his lap. I blushed a bit and tried to stand up, push him away, anything, but his grip on me stopped me.
"Don't even think of moving, you're sleep deprived, thirsty, and famished. You need to relax." As if I didn't know that already.
But nevertheless, I was grateful for the boy's hospitality, it's been far too long since I've had someone seem to care about me. I sank further into the comforting arms of the boy.
Oh yeah.
I was still in his arms.
Except this time, I didn't struggle. I gave up struggling. These people obviously didn't want to hurt or kill or imprison me, so I might as well try to relax or get some sleep.
Sleep. That sounded so good.
My eyes started getting droopy and my breathing relaxed. I let myself calm in the comforting embrace of the obsidian-eyed boy, snuggling closer. I could feel him let out a chuckle. Someone asked when did I last even sleep, but by then, sleep already conquered me.
The last thing I felt was the obsidian-eyed boy kissing my forehead.
