Tabby

I spent a week getting into a routine with the twins. They had changed in that week. Cress explained that alpha pups grow more rapidly than other pups because of their lineage. I took his word for it since I was still learning about this world.

A week after I had the twins, Cress took me to the woods behind the house to shift into a wolf. My wolf talked to me and explained everything, which I still found odd. She told me her name was Frost and said I would learn the meaning of her name after I shifted for the first time. I'll take her word for it.

Once I removed my clothes, Frost took over and shifted. My bones cracked and realigned as fur sprouted over my body. My face contorted and changed as a snout formed. I screamed while Cress talked to me. Pain ripped through my body until I finished transforming and stood on four paws.

Cress stood up and stared at me in amazement. "Your wolf is gorgeous, Tabby."

I blinked, walked toward Cress, and nudged him. Cress stripped off his clothes, dropped them on the ground, and changed into his wolf. Chaos walked toward me and licked my face. I nipped at him before taking off.

'You don't want to do that,' Cress said.

'What do you mean? Don't wolves play?' I asked.

'Oh, they play in their way.'

'What do you mean?'

Cress didn't answer me.

'Frost, what did Cress mean that wolves play in their own way?'

Before Frost could answer me, something pounced and pinned me to the ground. Frost shoved me to the back while something hard plunged into me. Oh.

I couldn't stop Chaos from mating with Tabby's wolf, Frost if I wanted to. Once she gave chase, Chaos took that as an invitation to hunt her like prey. That fucker pinned his mate and plunged into her until he mated her fully with him knotting inside her. Frost howled in pleasure while Chaos mated her.

Once Chaos and Frost finished, I shifted back and helped Tabby change back to human form.

Tabby stood up and looked at me while naked. "That hurt like a bitch. Why didn't you tell me?"

"I did tell you. Did you think I was fucking around?"

Tabby rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Do wolves always mate?"

"It depends. Chaos, that fucker, has been waiting for his mate. He couldn't wait once you shifted."

"I wasn't expecting Chaos to pin me and mate with me."

"What did you think would happen? It's our wolf's instinct to mate."

"A little notice would be nice."  Tabby folded her arms and raised her brow.

I approached her and rubbed her upper arms. "Sweetheart, I can't control Chaos when your wolf gives chase. He takes that as an invitation to mate. But I'll try to rein the asshole in better when we're in wolf form." I pressed a kiss to Tabby's forehead.

Tabby glanced down at our nakedness. "We need clothes. I can't walk back to the house while naked."

I walked to a tree, opened a box, grabbed clothes, and handed them to Tabby. She put on a tee shirt and a pair of shorts while I pulled on a pair of jeans. I slid my hand into hers and intertwined our fingers while we returned to the house.

We entered through the back door and walked into the living room to find Claudia and Aubrey caring for the twins.

"Where are Blaze and Gallic?" I asked.

"They're out front guarding the house," Claudia said.

"How are the babies?" Tabby asked, checking on the twins.

"Oh, they were such angels, unlike Cress," Aubrey said while giggling.

I rolled my eyes before lifting Kendall into my arms. Kendall looked at me with furrowed brows before giving me a toothless smile. Yeah, I thought so.

Riley howled, wanting me to hold her, too. I scooped her into my arms and held both in my arms. Tabby made two bottles for them while Claudia told Blaze and Gallic we were back. I handed Kendall to Tabby so she could feed him while I fed Riley.

Blaze and Gallic joined us in the living room to discuss business.

"Now Tabby has shifted, I want to make her my old lady and Luna so I can introduce her officially to the club," I said.

"Then I should forewarn you. A few of the old ladies are voicing their opinions about your mate," Blaze told me.

"I don't give a flying fuck what they think. I refuse to have stupid bitches interfering with my mate."

"We also have another issue," Gallic said.

"What issue?"

"Hawk's younger sister, Wren, was here."

"Why?"

"Wren brought paperwork from Hawk for you to sign. She found her mate at the club."

"Okay. And?"

"It's Ace."

I stared at Gallic, unamused since I knew what was coming.

"Wren found Ace fucking a club girl and told Hawk. Hawk showed up, wanting to rip Ace apart. Wren talked Hawk out of it but wants to reject Ace. Ace refuses to accept Wren's rejection."

"Where is Wren now?"

"I put Wren up at a house across town to keep Ace from going feral."

"I'll deal with Hawk and Ace." I looked at Blaze. "Set up a meeting with Hawk."

Blaze nodded in agreement.

I would need to offer a deal with Hawk to keep our peace treaty intact. I wanted to beat the hell out of Ace for his stunt. I'll let Tabby deal with the club. The members were in for a rude awakening, especially the old ladies.

Tabby

If Kendall weren't in my arms, I would lose my shit with Cress's club members. It was time to clean house.

"I would like to meet the club members, especially Ace," I said, surprising everyone.

"Tabby, you can wait until you feel better," Cress reassured me.

I gave Cress a pointed look. "I want to clean house, Cress. I won't have the twins around people causing trouble."

Cress gave me a chin lift. "Whatever you want, sweetheart."

"That's what I want."

Cress looked at Blaze and Gallic. "Call the brothers and their old ladies to the clubhouse to meet Tabby tomorrow. We'll hold the wedding in a week."

Blaze and Gallic nodded in understanding.

Cress turned his attention to Claudia and Aubrey. "I'm leaving you in charge of the twins. No one comes near them without mine or Tabby's approval."

Claudia and Aubrey nodded in agreement.

Eventually, they left Cress and me alone with the twins.

"Are you sure you're ready to meet the brothers and their old ladies tomorrow?" Cress asked me.

"It's better if I meet them sooner rather than later. I don't want them to think I'm some weak person they can dismiss as trash."

"That will be their last mistake."

I smiled at Cress and burped Riley.

Chaos was pacing around in my mind at the idea of Tabby meeting the brothers and their old ladies. The fucker was ultra-protective of Tabby and our pups. It didn't help that Ace pulled his bullshit with Hawk's sister. Now, I had to meet with Hawk to smooth over Ace's stupidity.

'Will you calm down? You're giving me a fucking headache,' I told Chaos.

He chuffed at me before lying down.

I placed Kendall in his cradle while he slept. Our pups didn't give me a hassle, which was a plus. I didn't need ornery pups with Tabby, but I'm meeting the brothers tomorrow.

'I spoke to Hawk and set up a meeting in a few days. He agreed to a meeting here,' Blaze told me through the mind link.

I grunted in response and cut the link.

"You haven't said much since everyone left," Tabby mentioned.

"There's not much to say. I have to fix a problem created by a brother while dealing with the club's bullshit."

"Everything will work out."

"I'm glad you're optimistic because I'm not."

Tabby glanced at me while shaking her head.

The old ladies had a habit of opening their mouths. I only tolerated them because they were the brothers' mates. I wouldn't tolerate them if they disrespected Tabby.

Tabby

Since meeting Cress, I've learned more about the club and werewolves than expected. After speaking to Claudia, I pay attention to Cress's conversations. Two bitches and a brother caused problems between Cress and me. It needed to stop if Cress wanted to bring Kendall and Riley around the clubhouse. I won't let people cause problems for our babies. That was a fact.

I watched Cress dote on the twins. You could see his protectiveness with them. Why people needed to interfere with his relationship is beyond me. Jealousy perhaps?

Whatever the case was, it stops now.

Cress ordered food and had it delivered since I was still recovering from the twins' birth and had shifted for the first time. He assured me the shifting would get easier. Easier, my ass. That hurt like a bitch.

Tomorrow, I will show everyone what happens when you mess with me. I was stronger than I looked.
