I took Griff with me when I met Hawk since Claudia and Aubrey were nearing their due dates with their pups. Neither Blaze nor Gallic wanted to leave their mates. I would have brought Ace, but that asshole fucked over Hawk's sister.

Griff and I pulled up to the clubhouse and dismounted our bikes before heading to the door. One of Hawk's brothers greeted us before leading us inside Hawk's office.

The brother knocked on Hawk's door to alert him of our presence. Hawk dismissed the brother as Griff and I sat down across from Hawk. Hawk leaned back in his chair with a neutral expression.

"Let's get down to business. I punished Ace for what he did to Wren," I said.

"Ace is lucky I didn't let my wolf deal with him," Hawk said. "I don't appreciate what your pack member did to my sister."

"Trust me. I dealt with a hormonal mate that hated me."

"That doesn't surprise me, Cress. You're an asshole."

Chaos, that fucker, agreed with Hawk while laughing.

"Tabby will handle Ace," I said.

"Is Tabby your mate?" Hawk asked.

I nodded.

"Your mate must be amazing to deal with your ass. If it were me, I would have ripped your dick off. But that's just me." Hawk shrugged. "Now, what do you want, Cress?"

"Two witches infiltrated my club and held my pups. Tabby killed them both."

"How did witches get near your pups?"

"Cracker thinks they used a cloaking spell to get past the security system."

"That doesn't surprise me. The covens hate our kind."

"That's why I came to you. I want to forge an impenetrable alliance between our clubs."

"You want a peace treaty between our clubs, given the history of what your pack member did to my sister?"

"Yes."

Hawk looked at me with an unreadable expression. "Fine. On one condition."

"What's that?"

"I want an arranged mating between your pup and mine."

I narrowed my eyes and gritted my teeth. "What?"

"You heard me. I have a pup coming on Halloween. Her bitch of a mother is trying to get rid of her. I have her confined to a room until she gives birth."

"Why do you want an arranged mating between our pups? The Goddess forbids chosen mates."

"Because my pup's mother is Alpha Larson's Luna."

I stared at Hawk, knowing the only way an alpha's Luna could get pregnant by another male was when she went into heat. It didn't matter if she was mated to an alpha. She became irresistible to any unmated male. Since Hawk didn't have a mate, he mated with another alpha's Luna.

"If I agree, will you guarantee my pups' safety?" I asked.

"You have my word."

"Fine. Give me the paperwork."

Hawk handed me forms to sign for the arranged mating. I signed everywhere that required a signature. Not only would this seal a relationship between the clubs, but it would also cause future issues between our pups.

What I didn't realize was the two witches who touched Kendall and Riley and bestowed a curse on them, causing more problems.

"I'll call you when it's time for my pup to come to your territory," Hawk said, filing the paperwork away.

I lifted my chin before standing and leaving with Griff.

I checked on my pup's mother once Road Dog told me Cress and his brother left the club grounds. Cadance glared at me with shackles around her wrists and ankles that connected to a hook on the floor. She could move without running and had access to the bathroom.

"You can't keep me prisoner here," she snapped.

"You're lucky I'm giving you that much," I responded with my arms folded. "I could have ripped out your throat for trying to kill my pup."

"Fredrick would kill me if he found out I was pregnant with another man's baby."

"Not my problem." I shrugged. "You came to my clubhouse while in heat and begged me to fuck you. I didn't hear you complaining while my dick pounded into your hole since you were moaning the entire time."

"You don't even want this baby."

My anger surged through me as my wolf pushed to the surface. I took two quick strides until I stood before her, gripped her jaw with my hand, and leaned close to her. "Don't you ever tell me I don't want my pup. My wolf and I both want our pup. If you do anything to harm it, we will end you."

Cadance clamped her mouth shut and pressed her lips together. She didn't know it, but she wasn't leaving here alive after she gave birth.

Tabby

Blaze and Gallic set up two bouncers for the twins so they could both see me. I sat on the couch while the twins kicked their tiny feet, making the bouncers move. I couldn't help but talk to them. They smiled when they heard the sound of my voice.

The brothers tried to come near the twins, but Blaze and Gallic stopped them. Claudia and Aubrey refuse to let the old ladies near us after hearing a few run their mouths about me. Plus, I didn't trust the brothers and their old ladies. They proved why I didn't trust them.

I heard the roar of two motorcycles outside before they turned off. A few minutes later, Cress and Griff entered the clubhouse. Cress headed for the twins and me while Griff filled Blaze and Gallic in on the meeting with Hawk.

"How did your meeting go?" I asked while cooing at the twins.

"Hawk agreed to the arrangement," Cress said.

"What arrangement?" I made funny faces at the twins while they smiled.

"I signed an arranged mating between Kendall and Hawk's pup."

I stopped making funny faces at the twins and turned my head slowly to Cress. I cleared my throat before speaking. "A what?"

"It's like an arranged marriage between wolves."

I looked at Cress and blinked. "Did I hear you correctly? Did you say you agreed to an arranged marriage between our son and another man's daughter?"

"Tabby."

I smiled at Claudia and Aubrey, but it wasn't friendly. Nope, it was deadly. "Can you watch the twins while I talk to Cress alone in his office?"

"Sure," Claudia said while Aubrey nodded in agreement.

"And don't let any of these assholes come near my babies." I smiled before heading to Cress's office with Cress right behind me.

All hell broke loose once we were inside Cress's office with the door closed.

Never trust a woman's smile when she's pissed off. It doesn't mean she's happy to see you. Nope, she wants to skin you alive and bury your body, so no one finds you.

Once the office door closed, Tabby grabbed anything she got her hands on and whipped it at my fucking head. I dodged the items as they crashed into the wall and shattered upon impact. Tabby called me every name in the book while she tried to decapitate me. Did she forget I had quick reflexes as an alpha?

Chaos, that asshole, roared with laughter. He warned me not to sign any papers until I talked to our mate. I didn't listen to him and dealt with a pissed-off mate with a lousy aim.

"Are you planning just to stand there, you asshole?" Tabby shouted at me.

"Would it help if I moved closer to you?" That was the wrong question as a vase flew past my head and smashed into the wall behind me.

"No, you asshole! You're lucky I don't chop off your dick!" Tabby was breathing heavily as anger rolled off her body.

"Okay, first, you're not touching my dick unless you're riding it."

Crash!

I scowled at Tabby. "Second, I'm trying to protect our pups."

Smash!

"Third, I would piss you off now and ask for forgiveness later."

Bam!

The third time was the charm as a statue smacked me in the head. Tabby's aim improved with each throw until she hit her target—me.

I touched the gash above my eye and saw blood. It would heal in a few hours, so it didn't bother me. Tabby's anger dispersed until she collapsed on the couch in exhaustion. I crouched before her and put my hands on her knees.

"You're bleeding," she mentioned.

"You hit your target. Your aim is improving."

Tabby scoffed.

"Sweetheart, witches infiltrated my club. I don't know what they did to the pups. But I need the added protection. Hawk can offer that."

Tabby furrowed her brows. "How?"

There's a prophecy of a blessed wolf who will possess gifts from the moon goddess. This wolf will have silver hair and arrive on All Hallows' Eve."

"That's Halloween."

I nodded. "It's also the night covens celebrate as their powers increase. The moon goddess blesses one wolf every one hundred years. It makes them powerful but also coveted by witches. They want to tap into the blessed wolves' gifts to become more powerful than the wolves so they can destroy us."

"But you're banking on Hawk's daughter to be that blessed wolf."

"Because she is. Her mother is a Luna to another alpha."

Tabby gaped at me.

Hawk and I needed something from each other. The only way for that to happen is to agree to an arrangement mating between our children. I just didn't realize Hawk's daughter would be a pain in my ass.
