The Queen And Her Heirs☽1☾

"We can talk freely here," Sophie told Elijah as he stepped into the sacred cemetery.
"Then I suggest you start talking. What did your sister want with Niklaus?" Elijah asked impatiently.
"Isn't it obvious? We have a vampire problem, and we need help. Marcel has an army backing him. The witches have been trying to fight back. We haven't had much luck, until my sister Jane-Anne met a girl, a werewolf passing through the quarter from a small town in Virginia. She had a very special connection to your brother." Sophie informed the Original.
"What kind of connection?" Elijah asked wondering what possible connection he could have had with any girl that would warrant him to help the witches.
"Apparently, they spent some time together. One thing led to another and now this special werewolf girl- she's pregnant. And the father of the child she's carrying is your brother Klaus."
"That's impossible." Elijah denied.
"Nothing is impossible, especially not when it comes to your brother. Think about it- they call him the hybrid, right?" She raises her voice and turns her head. "Bring them out!"
Three witches come out, standing in formation around Isabel and Rose. Elijah watched her with complete shock, while Isabel looked frustrated, confused, and a bit pissed.
"Elijah?"
"Give us a moment, please." Elijah requested nicely.

Elijah, Rose, and Isabel are inside a burial vault, lit by numerous candles on the walls around them.
"So, have they been holding you here against your will?"
"They lured me out to the bayou and grabbed me." She bounced Rose on her knee nervously. "And they did all these... weird witchy tests. Elijah I don't understand how this could happen. I mean, vampires are dead. They're not suppose to be able to conceive children!" She whisper-shouted not wanting to yell with Rose so close to her. "I didn't want this." She whispered shaking her head.
Isabel didn't know if she could trust Klaus with his own child or even herself. Not after all the promises Tyler made then broke. He left, just like everyone else. And Klaus was notorious for hurting family and anyone else he gets angered at.
She was only here because she had a chance to find what was left of her biological family. A pack that would hopefully take her in and help her with being a wolf and a mother.
"You know my brother's story, you know about his werewolf side and what our father did to him. This curse that he broke... I'm assuming it allowed him to procreate. I wonder if this baby might finally allow my brother the happiness he seeks. The happiness he has not yet allowed himself," Elijah said, voicing thoughts opposite of her own.
"I'm glad you feel that way, because we need your help." Sophie chimed in walking up behind the Original.
"What, precisely, is it that you want and what does it have to do with this young woman?"
"We want to run Marcel and his vampires out of town. Klaus is the key," Sophie said. "Everything Marcel knows about being a vampire, he learned from Klaus. Marcel trusts him, looks up to him, and he won't see the betrayal coming."
"Yes, well, as I'm sure you're aware, my brother Niklaus doesn't like to be told what to do," Elijah told the witch knowing his brother all to well.
"That's why I brought you here. Marcel drove the werewolves out of town decades ago. Do you really think he's going to welcome a werewolf baby let alone a hybrid baby to the neighborhood? Convince Klaus to help us, and no one has to know about the kid or newest member of the Original family."
"That sounds remarkably like blackmail," Elijah said, amusement clear on his face.
"Like I said, I'm desperate."
"Well, then, I have my work cut out for me, don't I?"
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
"Hear her out." Elijah ordered his younger brother.
"I don't need to hear her out." He told Elijah before talking to Sophie, "I assure you, love, there is not a thing on this earth that will matter enough for me to waste even thirty more seconds of my time. Elijah, what madness is this?"
"You are going to want to listen to them," Isabel told the hybrid as she fidgeted with her feather necklace nervously. She bounced Rose's lightly knowing the little munchkin was getting tired.
Klaus laughed. "You're all out of your minds if you think some silly one-night stand -no offense, sweetheart- means a thing to me." Klaus lied. He cared much more then he'd like to admit to anyone. And he knew it worked when he saw her still scowling at him.
"Marcel may be able to keep us from practicing real magic in this town, but as keepers of the balance we still know when nature has cooked up something new. For example, I have a special gift...of sensing when a girl is pregnant."
Flashback
"You're carrying his child," Sophie told the girl, no emotion shown on her face but conviction clear in her tone.
Isabel's head clouded with thoughts and she couldn't think straight. She shook her head in a daze. "No... that's- that's not possi...ble." She ran a hand over her stomach and listened to the tiny heartbeat growing in her womb. "A baby..."
"A baby you share with the hybrid. And the witches ticket to freedom."
End
All amusement left Klaus' face as he asked, "what?"
"I know it seems impossible..." Isabel trailed off.
"What are you saying?"
"Niklaus...Isabella is carrying your child."
"No. It's impossible. Vampires cannot procreate." Klaus denied the claim.
"But werewolves can. Magic made you a vampire, but you were born a werewolf. You're the Original hybrid, the first of your kind, and this pregnancy is one of nature's loopholes."
Klaus fought for control over his facial expression before he turned to Isabel and shouted at her. "You've been with someone else, admit it!"
"Hey, chill out." She glared at him not wanting him to yell to loud and make Rose upset. "I've spent days held captive in a freaking alligator bayou because they think that I'm carrying some magical miracle baby. Don't you think I would've fessed up if it wasn't yours?"
"My sister gave her life to perform the spell she needed to confirm this pregnancy. Because of Jane-Anne's sacrifice, the lives of this girl and her babies are now controlled by us." Isabel and Elijah's faces both contort into shock not having that knowledge. "If you don't help us take down Marcel, so help me, Isabel won't live long enough to see her first maternity dress."
"What? No..."
"Enough of this." Elijah growled. "If you want Marcel dead, he's dead. I'll do it myself."
"No. We can't, not yet," Sophie said, shaking her head. "We have a clear plan that we need to follow, and there are rules."
Klaus, who had turned away, turned slowly to face Sophie, his anger barely restrained and it showed.
"How dare you command me..." he said calmly before shouting, "threaten me, with what you wrongfully perceive to be my weaknesses. I won't hear any more lies."
"Niklaus," Elijah said stopping the hybrid in his tracks. "Listen."
Klaus turned toward Isabel, from whose abdomen he could hear a rapid heartbeat. Isabel watched his face carefully seeing different emotions spill from his face. He met the blonde wolf's eyes before closing himself off.
For once in his life Niklaus Mikaelson felt fear for becoming his father, he felt fear for having something so little join his family, he felt weird that he could have his own children, he felt angry for compelling Isabel to forget how he felt, but most of all he felt frightened that he couldn't be what he needed to be for Isabel, Rose, and the little wolf she now carried because of his attraction for the Crescent Queen.
He turned back to Elijah. "Kill her and the baby. What do I care?" Klaus said the first thing that came to mind before storming out of the mausoleum.
"Screw this. Screw all of you. We're out of here." Isabel went to move but they stopped her from moving which caused her eyes to start to glow blue but she shut her eyes and focused on Rose so that she didn't give away what she was to the witches.
"No one touches them. I'll fix this."
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
"Marcel and his vampires are out of control. Something had to be done," Sophie told her fellow witches.
"And the solution is to bring in more vampires?" Agnes asked in disbelief.
Isabely stood quietly in the corner, playing with Rose's tiny hands while also listening to the witches conversation inside the mausoleum.
"These aren't just any vampires, Agnes. They're the Originals," Sophie said.
"What makes you think you can control the hybrid?" Agnes asked.
"She can't." Everyone turned and saw Elijah Mikaelson leaning on the wall. "I'm not entirely certain that I can, either. But now that your coven has drawn his ire, I have a question: What prevents my brother from murdering you instead of cooperating?"
Sophie took a needle and showed it to the Original. She stuck the needle into her hand and at the same time Isabel flinched.
"Ow!" Isabel took her hand away from Rose to look at her palm.
Elijah too looked at the blonde and saw there was a drop of blood on her hand, exactly at the same point where Sophie hurt herself.
"What the hell?" Isabel asked, her anger swimming clearly in her blue eyes before she wiped the blood on her dark pants.
"The spell my sister performed, the one that got her killed? It didn't just confirm the pregnancy. It linked me to Isabel. So anything that happens to me, happens to her, which means her life is in my hands," Sophie told Elijah and glanced shortly at a shocked Isabel before looking at Elijah again. "Klaus may not care about his own child, but it's very clear what it already means to you. If I have to hurt Isabel -or worse- to ensure that I have your attention, I will."
Elijah took a menacing step towards the witch with a slightly amused look on his face. "You would dare threaten an Original?"
"I have nothing to lose," Sophie said and the amused look on the Original's face disappeared. "You have until midnight to get Klaus to change his mind."
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
"You are scared." Elijah stated approaching his brother who was sitting on a bench in one of the deserted and quiet streets of New Orleans.
Klaus didn't look at his brother but he had said, "don't make me laugh, Elijah. You are a fool."
Elijah smiled as he sat down beside his brother. "The look on your face when you heard the heart beat says otherwise." Klaus' smirk disappeared. "Tell me, brother. Are you scared because you don't know how to be a father? Are you scared you're gonna end up like our father? That you are not worthy becoming the father of your child? That you're not right for Isabella? Or even Rose?"
Klaus turned his head to look at Elijah, his glare still etched onto his face. "What of it?"
"I know you care for the child you and Isabella created," Elijah said and turned to his brother. "Believe in yourself and overcome your fear, Niklaus. If you do not, Isabella will suffer. And I'm sure you don't want that."
The hybrid looked away as he took a deep breath. "Fine. I'm scared. The big bad wolf is scared." He admonished angrily.
"I remember one time in our life you said you wished for a family of your own. And that wish has finally become true. Isabella's having your baby. You can finally have a family of your own," Elijah told his brother. "You wanted to be King again, did you not? I believe every King needs a Queen and an heir."
There was a long stretch of silence as Klaus thought things through.
"Tell Sophie Deveraux we have a deal." He finally spoke up much to his brother's relief.

Isabel stood in a huge, white house looking at everything in the room. After he dropped her off she told him about her place that she was staying at and he promised after everything was settled he'd get everything for her and bring it over.
The room had tons of cloth covered furniture and dust sitting perfectly still waiting to be moved. Rose held onto her moms leg and pulled on the sheet of a crib which caused her to sneeze and Isabel to cough.
"Don't pull on that Rose," she said sternly while grabbing the cloth out of her hand and taking a toy out of her jacket for Rose to play with. It was a tiny lion that she always kept with her just in case she needs something for Rose to be occupied with and it was small enough for her purse and jacket pockets. The child stumbled forward and Isabel stayed behind her to make sure she didn't fall. Rose then decided to plop down and smash her plushie into the ground. She laughed in joy and Isabel just sighed watching as she continued to smash the small stuffed animal into the wooden floor.
"Are you two alright?" Elijah asked concerned for the two girls.
"Yeah it was just some dust. This place is ancient."
"Yes, it should serve our purposes," Elijah said, looking around the room as he walked over to the blonde. "It's a sanctuary from our business in the Quarter. Right now, you are the most important person in this family. You need a good home. So I'm curious... in all this time, has anyone asked you how you feel?"
"About having a miracle baby with a psychotic one-night-stand?" Isabel grimaced.
"About being a mother of two at nineteen." Elijah supplied.
"No." She frowned looking down at Rose. "I had Tyler when I had Rose and now I have no one. I never even had a real mother and sometimes I wonder if I'm doing right by Rose. I'm only nineteen, Elijah.. I'm scared." She admitted.
"I will always protect you. You have my word on that." Elijah promised the blonde.
"And noble Elijah always keeps his word," Klaus said with jealousy burning his eyes looking at the two with his arms folded across his chest, leaning against the doorframe.
"Is it done?"
"As a matter of fact, yes. Your underhanded deal worked quite well. Marcel was only too happy to accept my blood even as he accepted my heartfelt apologies. His man, Thierry, yet lives and I remain a welcome guest in the French Quarter. My only concern now is this coven of impudent witches."
"I believe them to be honorable. They did release Isabella and Rose to me. Although, they haven't been entirely forthcoming. Marcel obviously has something that they need. They don't want him dead. There must be a reason why."
"There always is." Isabel stated.
Surprise!
Enjoy my little edit. I had fun...ish. With it. If you haven't seen it the trailer is back on the very first posted part.
