"There you are," Elijah said with a small smile.
"Here I am." Isabel said hesitantly. Even though Isabel and Elijah talked and he forgave her she knew he was still upset over what she did.
Elijah gestured to the sketches. "Davina's drawings."
"Yeah. Morbid, I know," Isabel said shuffling through the sketches. "I was just thinking, we never figured out why she drew those pictures of Celeste. Anyway, I'm just killing time, now that I am on vampire lockdown and have nothing to do."
"Whoever did this, we will deal with them. It won't be long." He reassured the wolf.
"I'm not worried." She looked up at him with a sarcastic grin. "I just think it's kind of funny, you know, that it took some big, supernatural threat for you to even come into the same room as me for more then a few seconds ever since..."
"I do apologize if you feel neglected," he said as he walked closer to the bed. "I have been occupied. My siblings are in some quarrel. Niklaus remains agitated. You'll recall that even our slightest interactions seem to...infuriate him."
"So Klaus is being a dick, and you want to be a good big brother. So we can't even hang out. That about sum it up? I get it, Elijah. I do. I just think it's crappy."

Isabel walk into the courtyard with Elijah as he tried to call Rebekah.
"Rebekah is not answering her calls," Elijah said when he stopped and turned to Isabel.
"You worried about whoever killed those daywalkers still being out there?"
"Frankly, I'm worried that she had something to do with this," the Original said causing the blonde's eyes to widen in shock. "She's very displeased with Niklaus, perhaps even conspiring," Elijah said before noticing Thierry drinking alone. "With others."
"You think she would do that?"
"Right now. I couldn't very well put it past her. Do not stress, please, Isabella. It is not good for the baby." Elijah glanced at Thierry again to see he has not left and started to make his way towards him. "Thierry, is it?"
Thierry looked up and saw the two walking towards him. "That's right." He replied.
"My sister is rather fond of you. Strange, she's not typically drawn to unremarkable men," Elijah said. "Would you care to explain your sudden magnetism?"
"I don't know what you're-" Elijah, annoyed, cut him off by grabbing him by the throat and pushing him against the wall.
"You can either tell me what you know, or I can distribute tiny pieces of you throughout the Quarter." Elijah threatened the younger vampire as his parabatai started to walk forward.
Thierry reluctantly said, "she asked me to keep an eye out on witch stuff. I found something, and when I showed her, we were jumped by some guy. He desiccated her with his touch."
Elijah narrowed his eyes in anger. "Like a coward, you left her."
"What was I supposed to do, fight some warlock that took out an Original?" Thierry asked in disbelief.
"Where was this, exactly?" Izzy asked looking at Thierry intently.
"The docks, warehouse 57. I was just doing what she asked. You cannot tell Klaus about this." The man pleaded.
Elijah looks over at Isabel before throwing Thierry against the opposite wall, knocking him unconscious.
"I shall take that into consideration." Elijah goes to leave but Isabel grabbed his arm stopping him.
"I'm coming with you," she said worriedly.
"No. Stay here with Andrew and Rose. The compound is safe," Elijah said trying to convince the girl but she wasn't letting up.
"Rebekah is in trouble. I am going." Isabel said stubbornly, walking past him but he grabbed her arm effectively stopped her in her tracks.
He looks into her blue eyes and considers letting her go with him. "Wouldn't you rather be here with Rose?"
"She's with fine with Andrew for a little bit. I want to help Rebekah. I can't just let you go alone not knowing what's in store for you."
Elijah sighed and loosened his grip on her arm. "Do not leave my sight. Understand?"
Isabel nodded once. "Sir, yes sir." She mockingly saluted him before walking ahead of him.

Isabel and Elijah arrived at the docks and went into the warehouse 57, where Rebekah's body was left to lay in a salt circle with symbols in it.
"Rebekah," Elijah said as he and Isabel tried to enter the circle but can't cross the barrier made by the salt.
"What's happening?" Isabel asked.
"Some kind of boundary spell. Someone is channeling her. Typically, it's a lethal process, but, because she's an original, she cannot die. Instead, she's an endless source of power," Elijah said as he looked worried for his little sister.
"So what are we going to do?"
"We have to get her out of there." He told Isabel. "With the help of a witch."
≪≫•≪≫•≪≫
"You're not listening. We cannot enter the circle. There's some kind of confinement spell... If I can't remove her, we can't break the link."
"It's a convoluted spell," Sophie told him over the phone. "It's like a witch's recipe. You can spoil the balance by adding a more potent ingredient. A mystical binding agent. I don't know, volcanic ash, rock salt...anything up to and including eye of newt."
"What about the blood of a witch?" Elijah asked as he eyed Isabel who was looking at Rebekah's grey body.
"Do you have the blood of a witch?"
Elijah hung up then turned to Isabel. "I need a favor."
Isabel immediately understood and nodded. She reluctantly gave Elijah her wrist, and he tried to bite in but the minute his fangs started to puncture her skin she ripped her hand away in pain.
"Son of a bi- oh that burns." She shook her hand as she held her wrist then started to fan it but it did nothing to soothe the burning sensation surrounding her wrist.
"Are you okay? What happened?"
"Hell if I know." She looked at her wrist to see big red irritated marks where he bit.
"Let me see your wrist Isabella." He demanded having a feeling he knew what was happening.
She reluctantly let him examine her wrist that was still on fire. "Has any of my siblings fed from you with your consent?"
Isabel furrowed her brows as she looked up at him. "Yeah. On my birthday I let Kol feed because he was getting hungry..." she scanned his face. "Why?"
"Do you know what this means?" He asked, still holding onto her wrist. He now understood a lot of things between Isabel and Kol. Kol didn't even know what he had done to her and now it landed on him to explain.
"No... why? Is it bad?" She started to panic now, not knowing where this was going.
"No. It's just he set in place your tenetur a sanguine. The blood bond," he said in English so that she'd understand. "He's never done that with a parabatai before."
"What does it do?"
"If he ever needed extra strength feeding from you would help but it also means none of us could because our venom can't mix with his while it's in your body or it will cause pain and extreme discomfort. And the venom only comes out when we bite our parabatai's. It's like marking them. And that bond... It's the strongest bond a parabatai can have and it draws you closer to one another. You crave each other's presence and take comfort in it. You may hear him at times when you're extremely emotional now that he's dead because it'd help you. And if he were a witch, his power would be stronger if he drew from you." He explained all that he knew. He thought his younger brother was the luckiest of them to have been able to get the bond with her. But he was also grateful. Kol needed someone like her to help him. Even though it was only for a short while.
Both Klaus and Elijah had been able to create that bond with at least one of their parabatai's but Kol never did. He never got close with them because he was either busy feeding, trying to get away from his family, or in a coffin.
The pain slowly faded away so did the puncture mark. Isabel looked speechless at what had been revealed. That explained a lot of what was happening between them and at least she wasn't completely clueless anymore. "Well then... we shouldn't try that again."
"Then how-" He was cut off as Isabel strained to bring out her claws. She was hesitant to do it at first because it took a lot out of her to force her nails out but she had to help her parabatai.
She closed her eyes as she imagined the nails and finally opened her eyes to reveal a not so bright blue coloring in her eyes. She dragged her nail across the palm of her hand while standing over the salt line and letting it drip down. It started to fizzle and deteriorate immediately, allowing Elijah to get through, and he quickly picked up Rebekah and took her out of the circle. Isabel retracted her claws and fluttered her eyes feeling slightly faint. She took in a deep breath and steadied herself so they could get out of there.

Elijah snapped Thierry's neck after hearing what he and his little sister were talking about. "I asked you to cease these petty moves against our family, and yet you conspire with this fool. Is this what its come to, making moves against your own blood?" He asked.
"Don't you try and shame me," Rebekah said in frustration. "Nik grows more powerful by the day, and you do nothing but encourage him."
"I offer him my counsel because it's clear to me that he needs to make the city our home. Now, perhaps leading these derelicts will curb some of these impulses, grant him some degree of happiness."
"You always talk of Nik's happiness. Over 1,000 years, he has robbed me of any chance at my own. What about me, Elijah? Am I not a concern for you?" She asked her brother, daring him to protest.
"We all make sacrifices in the name of this family, Rebekah, but know this. I will never stand against you or Niklaus."
"What about Isabella?" She mocked him. "Nothing I conspire to do, none of my treachery will harm this family as much as your feelings for her." She sneered. "You're a hypocrite, Elijah. You would choose love over family and then condemn me for doing the same."

Isabel sat with Rose laying next to her on her bed while she read a story that she was making up as she went.
She rubbed her daughters back. "-the Queen didn't need a prince or a King. She had all she wanted with her aunt in a small cabin and her two best friends. But on her eighteenth birthday she met the man she was meant to be with. And along with him she found her mother after years of never knowing who she was or that she was alive. She had some struggles along the way but her ladies-in-waiting and her prince was always by her side. Ready to help or have fun. And in the end she got her beautiful babies and a kingdom who adored the new reigning Royal family."
"Knock, knock," a soft voice said.
Isabel looked up to see Klaus standing at her doorway. She looked down to see Rose was fast asleep and smiled. The mother leaned down and kissed her daughter's forehead before gesturing Klaus to follow her out to her balcony. She wrapped a blanket around her to keep herself warm as they talked.
"Before you say anything." She sighed before looking away from his burning blue eyes. "I wanted to tell you that I went out and helped Elijah save Rebekah from being channeled for Sacrificial Magic of a warlock today. But-"
"You left the compound?" He asked in an angered tone. "Where is that hybrid fool when you need him?"
"Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you but I knew you would stop me and Elijah was with me so I was safe."
Nik sighed as he placed his hand on her cheek. "Just don't get yourself hurt. You're still only a teenager."
She smiled sarcastically at him as the last sentence definitely ruined her mood. "Well you slept with this teenager." She slapped his hand away. "You can go now." Isabel turned away from him and placed her hand on the cool railing. When she didn't feel him leave she ordered him. "Go. Klaus."
He hurt his parabatai's feelings.
Well damn Klaus.
And I finally explained the bond! I wrote this chapter months ago but suddenly just now the whole explanation came to me and I wrote it in. Yay!
