When I wake up, I wake up in a bright white room, I heard many noises as well, but the one thing I notice first is that I seem to be in the hospital once again.
"It's nice to see that your feeling better, now then, comes something important that I need to tell you, you can continue to work on the case as much as you want, but if you push yourself too hard, I can't guarantee that you'll be as lucky"
As the doctor left the room, it soon became sudden what happened.
I've been pushing myself so hard, I thought nothing of it, but they truly we're right, I would kill myself if I continued to push myself so hard.
I have to solve this case though, but, I got lucky though like the doctor said.
God, how am I gonna solve this case without pushing myself too hard?
As Marina walks into my room, she seems quite excited to see me as she runs up to my bed to come and hug me.
"O-Oh thank god, it's a miracle, the paramedics couldn't revive you and I thought I'd had lost you"
Now seems like a bad time to ask the question, but, I've been wondering about it now for awhile, and it'd be nice to have an answer.
"M-Marina, what's it like, to love someone?"
"H-Huh, why do you ask?"
I blush heavily as I soon bring her in close for a kiss, as I break the kiss, she looks down at me, rather flustered as well.
"I want to know what it's like, to love someone, to be loved, I want you to show me that feeling"
As she nods, she lays with me in the bed for awhile as I hold her closely.
This kind of feeling, it gives a nice warm and fuzzy feeling.
I'm quite happy that this is the feeling I get when I'm with Marina like this.
This must be what love is like.
Once visiting hours are up, Marina soon leaves, blushing heavily as well.
It takes a few days until I'm eventually released from the hospital, but I'm given one last warning.
I can work long hours with breaks, but if I don't work without breaks, then I'll die.
Yet when I get back to the police station, it just now crossed my mind that I was given a pacemaker.
Technology has come very far at least, so they don't have to place it in me, but rather on me.
"So, any ideas who the mastermind might be?"
"Oh yeah, we found out who it was, he goes by the name Add, but most people know him as Aiden, it took a lot of searching, but after a bit of searching and knowledge, we found out that all the victims were people who worked under him, you can go for him whenever your ready, Alright?"
I nod but I weakly grab my chest in pain, thankfully Marina manages to catch me at least.
"V-Valor, a-are you sure Valor will be able to go in his current condition?"
"Y-Yeah, I'll be fine Marina, don't worry about me"
As I stop leaning on Marina, we begin to prepare to enter the Crescent tech building.
Preparation takes some time though, but once done and we're outside the building, a police officer kicks down the door for us as we raid the building.
Thankfully finding the mastermind isn't too difficult, but as I pick up my gun and point it at him, I'm surprised to see it's the man who was looking after me when I was injured trying to rescue a victim.
"So, your the mastermind?"
"Surprising is it not, people seem to always forget the most important thing in their life, generosity, we were given things, but we seem to never remember to give back"
With my finger on the trigger, I'm trying to not shoot him, I'm just waiting for when the police come and arrest him.
"Isn't it interesting detective, you seem to remember that better than anyone, but why don't you set an example for the others?"
"You could join me and show them all, we could both be the Robin Hood's of this city"
"I don't work with killers"
Before he can shoot or call for help, Marina walks in and cuffs him.
"Aiden, your under arrest, enjoy your new life behind bars"
As he's taken out of the building, I let out a relaxed sigh knowing that we finally got the killer, now the whole city can rest easily.
Later that night, when I get home and walk into my room, I'm a bit surprised at first at what I see when I open the door.
To my surprise, Marina is there tied up in ribbons while Yumi and Remi are holding up a sign that says happy birthday.
"Can't believe you forgot your own birthday, some detective you are, Valor"
I only sigh as I untie Marina, but my face turns bright red the moment I see her nude.
I try to instantly cover the bulge in my pants the best I can which only makes Remi and Yumi laugh.
"It's quite funny and embarrassing seeing a male in his early 20's cover the bulge in his pants like an innocent teenager"
"O-Oh, shut it, I know I'm 22, but I don't want my bulge on display!"
"Oh quit worrying, certainly you wouldn't mind having it on display for Marina to see?"
"T-That's a different story!"
Remi and Yumi teased me for awhile but soon stopped as they left me and Marina by ourselves in my room.
"Hey Valor, you want me to stay here with you for the night?"
I'm too embarrassed to even answer her, but I'm at least able to nod.
"Why don't I also take care of your erection as well?"
My face becomes even redder, I can't even nod, but as she brings me in close for a kiss, the moment I break the kiss, I simply nod to answer her question.
With a seductive grin on my face, she pins me to the bed as the both of us celebrate the arrest of the mastermind, together.
