"How are we gonna find out what happened if we don't ask her?!"
"Your in no condition to be working, I may not be a doctor, but even I can tell that your not as strong as you used to be from how much you've been overworking!"
I looked at her with a serious face, arguing seems to not be doing anything at all, certainly there's a way I can make her not worry me.
"Fine, if you go with me will that make you worry less about me?"
"Yes it would, but I'll be keeping a close eye on you"
I let out a sigh as I hesitantly accept her offer.
I know Luna quite well, so it makes it easier for us to get to her house, or well, mansion I should say.
As we open the door, what looks to be a female but is surprisingly enough is a male invites us in to see Luna.
As both me and Rein take a seat, I get out my badge to present to Luna and her lover, Léo.
"CCPD Homicide, the name is Valor, my partner is Remi, I was hoping to ask Luna a few questions about what happened the night of the murder since she was most likely a witness.
As I interrogated her, while the information I got wasn't too helpful, well, in my opinion, but who knows, the small bits I got may actually turn out to be helpful.
As me and Remi leave the place, we head back to the police department, to our surprise, there was a new person there with Yumi standing next to the new person.
"Welcome back you two, we got a new person, her name is Marina"
Marina hesitantly waves and smiles, I can only imagine how scared she must feel just from being surrounded by new people.
"Anyways though, another body was discovered in the forest, so I was thinking one of you could take the new recruit with you"
"I will, I'll go with her"
"Valor, that may not be the greatest idea, you have been working yourself thin"
"I'll be fine, don't worry about me"
Remi and Yumi seem a bit disappointed that I want to help Marina in the first place instead of myself.
Even so, with all the work I've been doing, it's only natural because of the job I work and this case as well.
"Where was the body found at?"
"In the forest, the killer seemed to be trying to find somewhere to dump the body at"
"That would most likely be the case, anyways, come on now Marina, I'll show you the ropes of this job when we get there, Alright?"
She nods and smiles, blushing slightly as well as the both of us go to the forest.
By the time we get to the forest, we see the dead body, pinned to a tree by knives.
When I try to check the body in more detail, I seem to end up tripping something.
Without thinking, I quickly dived to push Marina out of the way of the way arrow, when I look down to make sure she's fine, she blushes heavily and ends up pushing me off of her.
"Sorry about that, I accidentally tripped something it seems, seems like the killer doesn't want us to investigate the crime scene"
As I get up off of the ground, I try to examine the body again, but I'm less fortunate this time.
I seem to trip another thing without realizing it, as I get shot in the back by an arrow.
"D-Damnit, seems like the killer set up multiple traps just in case the first one failed"
"Here, I can take the arrow out, do you have any water?"
"E-Even I don't specialize in medical stuff but I can still tell you that removing the arrow right now would be a bad idea"
"I'm still going to remove it either way since leaving it there is an even worse idea"
"A-Alright then, I won't stop you then if your so insistent on it"
Before Marina could say anything else, I seemed to suddenly collapse, at least, that's what I think happened.
My vision suddenly stopped working as all I saw was darkness, I could only assume what happened was that I collapsed.
Being stuck in what feels like an abyss or a bottomless pit is enough to drive someone insane, it's even worse when I try to move around, mainly because I can't.
I continue to struggle to break free from this state of limbo, which eventually works.
As I wake up, I'm quite surprised by the bright whiteness I see of the room in.
"T-Thank goodness he's alright, he wasn't waking up and I was starting to get worried"
Marina, is she in the room with me?
When I looked to my side, I'm surprised to see that she's actually in the room with me, but what surprise me more is when she actually gives me a hug.
My face turns red though from the embarrassment as the secret I try my best to hide only shows it self.
My cat ears manage to peak out from my hair as my cat tail shows it self as well.
"V-Valor, your a neko?!"
"Yeah, sorry you had to find out now and like this"
"I-It's Alright, I don't mind actually, it's kinda cute actually"
As she pets me, my embarrassment only reaches new levels it's never reached before, the petting also makes me purr like a cat as well.
"S-So cute, it's even cuter seeing how you react just like a cat as well"
"Wait, don't pet so much please~"
As she stops petting me, I pant heavily as I look away, completely embarrassed.
She seems a bit confused at first, but as she takes the covers off of me, she seems completely embarrassed and surprised as well when she notices a bulge in my pants.
As I look up at her with a smile on my face, she looks down at me before she gets on top of me on the bed, leaning in close to me as well.
